Great vid. I would just add that it is best to have it slightly counterweight heavy - as with all astro mounts - so the gears remained meshed as it tracks West overcoming any backlash that can't be adjusted out with the worm adjustment screw.

I am using similar collar mount for Samyang lens with star adventure. My polar is accurate but star trail at 1 minute sub. What's the reason?
Hi. maybe you have bad periodic error with your unit or some backlash? did you properly balance in dec and slightly "east heavy" on RA?
@@andreaminoia2002 yes done all as you advised. I removed the collar and placed on arca swiss clamp . Now getting 2 minutes subs.
What do you recommend to balance when pointing the star adventure to targets in the south (when in the northern hemisphere). I run into issues like this in this guys video:

I feel the issue is proper declination balance and the fact that the SA is not designed for "smooth" rotation of that Dec axis as opposed to a motorized Dec mount.
