faith is feeling like Allah is there listening to you and you alone at your greatest time and worst of times.your souls counselor and you never feel lonely.think about that as there are currently 7billion people on earth and Allah knows whats in our hearts and thoughts and yet we feel like He is listening to you and you alone. very beautiful lecture
my dear brother in islam Yasir Qadhi, jazakaAllah kheir may Allah honor and love you in this dunia and akhera. ameen yarabi ameen..and all the ummah. ameen yarabi ameen.

Alhamdulilah Allah has blessed me with being able to listen to this lecture. May Allah swt bless this brother with every form of baraka and grant him and his family Jannat ul Firdauus aameen
this video is enough for a believer to get back his or her hope that he or she will be forgiven by ALLAH,,,,IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW SINFUL WE ARE THERE IS A HOPE WE WILL BE FORGIVEN ,,,BUT WE NEED TO SHOW OUR HUMILITY TO OUR CREATOR....
subhanallaah - jazakallah brother yasir for explaining the power of dua in such a convincing articulate manner ...May Allaah accept all our duas and bless you abundantly...aameen
To mrgulsaeed. Your Problem in understanding boils down to the very understanding of qadr. In Islam, we believe Allah has knowledge over every event to take place. Allah also has decreed everything to take place. However at the same time, We have a free will and will be judged according to our actions. Indeed, the concept of qadr is a pillar of our creed being one of the six articles of faith.
And some will die for Allah...it isn't up to us. True iman must acknowledge that it is insha'Allah. This is so very important. La ilaha ill Allah. Obedience is no guarantee that you will live a comfy life. Allah swt will decided and has the final decree in all things...all things. Alhamdulillah.
Dear friends did u note what did he said in the beagaing "Whomever Allah guides, no one can misguide, and whomever Allah chosse to misguides, no one can guide." what a unfortunate Allah said in the Quran Say "The Truth is from your Lord": let him who will, believe, and let him who will, reject (18-29)
You know Allah, but you don't obey him. You know the Prophet, but you don't follow his sunnah. You know the Qur'an, but you don't act upon it. You eat from the blessings of Allah, but you are not thankful for the blessings. You know paradise, but you're not striving to get to it. You know the fire of hell, but you're not running away from it. You know Syaitan but you don't fight him. You know death but you do not prepare for him. Left me in awe.
@Muslimah4ever97 Exactly. That guy's comment frustrated me so much, I was gonna send him a longgg reply. But there wouldn't be any point, right? He says "Wahhabis" detest RasulAllah (s.a.w.), yet Shaykh Yasir started his speech by showing his respect and love for the RasulAllah (s.a.w.). Why would the Shaykh quote hadith, if he hated the Rasul (s.a.w.)? How dare they distort one of the 99 names of Allah...Al-Wahhab into an insult. Anyway, hope this comment finds you in high health and iman.
Brother Yassir was in Ottawa, Canada on March 5th in Assalam Mosque. I was blessed to attend an hour of his speech. May ALLAH rewards him and brings many muslims to such a level of knowledge or even higher to spread light upon darkness in all over the world.
@ignoranceisbad Astaghfirullah, please remove this comment and repent. Only Allah swt can judge people, not us. Mashallah Yasir speaks the truth and he increases my Iman with his lectures, he is doing more good than bad. May Allah swt guide you to the right path.
@come2truth1 Its fantastic that Islam teaches tolerance for all mankind, as should all great religions, in my opinion. However I am afriad the statement "Allah misguides them who choose to remain blind" can be interpreted in many different ways and some may lead to the wrong idea about Allah. To me, for instance, it gave me a sense of ill feeling since I cannot understand why God would purposely misguide somebody who is ignorant.
..we do not need to dig and dig to try to understand fully the intricacies of how Allah does this, because we accept we will never fully understand everthing about Allah. However, we acknowledge that Allah is the most just and we will be Judged with justice. Allah is the fairest and is fairer. We put our trust in Allah and we beseech him minimum 17 times a day to guide us to the straight path. At the same time we make the effort and "tie the rope of the camel", then leave the rest to Allah.
I am confused. Is he suggesting that making dua is obligatory(fard)? Or is he suggesting the prayer to be a form dua/supplication? I have never heard the not making dua to be a sin.
As a reverted Muslim. M so blessed to have Dr. Yasir Qadhi as one of the best ISLAMIC PREACHER.i learned and still learning a lots from him
