Nice test . That LP 100 is true reading PEP meter. That why the AM power up when talking. The ok for voltage protect. 15 is the normal max voltage. That will work nice on LiFePO4 ! . thay run around 13V most of discharge . Just tad hard to use for ham radio . The QT 80 is lot better . Has a true VFO mode. I keep my QT 60 in frequency mode. That sold under several names . Same board inside. Some radios from China are pretty good. Now maybe you can get on 10 meters and reach Lord callum ! Chuck did ! It is on the livestream replay . DX commander did 2 live streams at once ! from same place. Just station 1 and 2 . He does have a CB hooked up now. LOL I can hear them in the AM . They mostly use SSB but some use the UK FM band and it does get into NY some times . I was hearing Russian on CB just the outher day as sun rise . Sun set is outher time they come in. 10/11/12 meters really open at times. Get that HS4 on 29 MHZ and just above. 10 meter AM coming in. I made a contact on AM first time 10 meter . The 29.6 FM part open but that radio has no CTCSS/DCS . The QT 80 does ! 73
The fact we run 2M mobile radios instead of 10M/12M radios baffles me. But, I am rarely mainstream. I have reached South Dakota on 10M from Southwest Oregon, using a CB whip antenna and an 818, so the 30 some Watts is plenty.
Nice to see the LP-100A Ape! I "think" the software might allow setting the voltage limits for the warning message you saw.
I checked and you can set it in the software! Thanks Mostly!
I like that it shows over-voltage for those who are using locomotive alternators with NOx. 👍
It surprised me 😮
Looks like a keeper. Thanks, Ape
Hey BA, thanks man 👍
What is the expanded frequency range? 24.500 to ? Are there splits in frequency coverage, or is it continuous coverage from top to bottom? Thanks 73’
I saw and responded to the question on the other video 👍
Nice presentation. Looks like a Green Belt Project! Thanks for the video Ape! 73
Hey Jeff, I had wires everywhere!
"Full mod" = "Full Modulation Hot Damn"? Another great review Ape, thank you sir!
Glad you liked it, thanks for watching 👍

@@TheSmokinApe Me 2! Salty walt loves his ! Make that data cable to sound card and get on 28.074 MHZ. I got Japan outher day !
Great video Ape
Thanks Thump 👍
Is tuning to a specific frequency as difficult as it seems?
It’s more complicated than the single VFO knob 👍

I agree, 10 ain't bad! Thanks for watching LC.
How would you rate this against a QT-60? Similar price points and both can do 12 and 10.
Sorry man, no experience with the QT-60 👍
That radio looks cooler with the backlighting on it
I take it I didn’t have that on?
yoou can set the power lvl so minimal and maximal power in the hidden menu (develepor menu)
👍
bruh where do I et one of those space ship dummy loads?
This was an eBay special
Ape, how about a "Part II video" where you go upto 15.5V or just before the radio says "DC HI". ;)
I would but the radio was mailed off to a buddy yesterday
Telepost 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Hey TMC 👍
