    Another great vid! I love that you film all the steps-it’s fun to watch, but so helpful for learning new techniques. Also, I’ve mostly sewn with cotton and jersey, so seeing how a different fabric behaves and how you handle it while sewing makes me feel more confident in expanding into more apparel fabrics. Thanks for the vid!

    Greetings Casey! I want to thank you so so much for this pattern! Thank you for the D cup option!! This is the most beautiful blouse I have ever made for myself. I am 65 yrs old and never thought I'd be able to pull off a pretty blouse like this, but I did it!!! I posted a picture of the blouse only on Instagram and tagged you as well. I just had to have a white one like yours. My daughter in law is in love with this blouse as well and I'll be making her a white one as well. Again, thank you so much!

      I love knowing this so much!! Thank you for making it and letting me know how much you love it--that is my goal with each pattern. Yay!! And I *almost* didn't add cup sizes to this one if you can believe it, but my pattern testers let me know right away how much they wanted the cup sizes and the testers always know best! :)

      @@PatternScout I will almost always gravitate toward a pattern with bust options. I've worn my new Poppy blouse twice already and getting so many compliments! Of course from non-sewing chums, but they are in awe of the blouse, and so am I. I cannot wait to make another! Thank you for this and I have other patterns of yours too that I just adore.

    Knotting the dart tip threads is such a good tip. Trying to backstitch over the exact same line is so tricky and it definitely ruins the crisp dart point if you don't do it right

    Love this blouse! I like raglan sleeves but have a hard time getting the fit right. I have narrow shoulders and a 10 for above the apex but have large biceps and an 18 for the hips. How do you cut the sleeves and shoulders down?

    • @PatternScout
      @PatternScout  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! You might try grading from the smaller size at the neckline to the larger size at the bottom of the sleeve/bodice seams. And the sleeve is pretty roomy, so you may be just fine in the bicep (tester feedback was that the sleeves were very comfy for larger biceps). Hope that helps! :)

    Thank you kindly for this helpful video! Big question, I was thi king of sewing the biding of the sleeves by hand.... since you've finished yor work on the front so it looks clean...what do you suggest for me to do first... same as you or first sew the front then the inside? Why doing by hand?... cuz I'm more comfy this way lol... my modo....Why do simple when you can do it the hard way ? !!! Lol

    • @PatternScout
      @PatternScout  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If sewing the binding by hand, I'd sew to the front side first, then finish the binding on the interior of the sleeves by hand (I like to do it this way sometimes too! takes a little longer but is a really nice way to finish bindings). Thanks so much for watching! :)

    I have an obscure question for you, which foot are you using on your machine? I have a Pfaff too and I don’t recognise that foot. Did it come with the machine or did you have to buy it as an accessory? I like the open toes on it, great visibility. Lovely top by the way!👍😊

    • @PatternScout
      @PatternScout  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh good eye! I actually bought that one because the one that came with the machine broke (I think it might have been plastic or had plastic in the center and my needle slammed into it and snapped it when I was sewing some heavy layers and things got out of whack). I really like the open center on this foot, too. I can't remember the name of the foot, but I think it is a basic Pfaff presser foot. Hope that helps, and thanks! :)

    I wouldn't use this pattern as raglan sleeves tend to foreshorten the torso, which I don't need. I was also thinking King that one could do a 2 thread serged initial seam and then proceed to the French seam finishing. This would cut down on a lot of fiddling.

    Hello Casey, I bought this pattern and printed out my size which is a 12 (29 pages). When I put it all together, the darts were not annotated on the pattern. Did I do something wrong? Help! PDF patterns are new to me:)

    • @PatternScout
      @PatternScout  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sharon, it sounds like you may have only printed the B cup bodice (which is the cup size in the main pattern file). If you need bust darts, you will also need to print either the C or D cup file for the front bodice, based on your measurements from the size chart. The B Cup bodice does not include darts. Hope that helps! If you have any other questions, send an email to casey@patternscoutstudio.com. Thanks so much for buying the pattern! :)
