Hi Martin...regards from Australia. Can you please make a video of the power steering fluid change for a Holden Astra ( Vauxhall ) 2002 TS , automatic. Not many videos available in the web. Also the power steering in the astra TS 2002 , is electric assistant or hydraulic ??? Cheers thanks mate.
I done my corsa first time I've ever done a full service cause the cost at local garage is unbelievable so I bought a few sets of tools and off I went done everything you mentioned may had cost a fair bit that's because I bought all the tools needed but the next time it's gone be even cheaper all I got do is buy the oil and other stuff still cheaper this time and I really enjoyed doin it. First time in my life I wished I'd done it 30 years ago. My cars in the past would had lasted alot longer. 😂 great video
great cars had one years,,only issue is the ECU they site them in a really daft spot and they fail...but we had our Astra 1.8 9 years..also throttle body needs a blast out with some carb cleaner now and again, but thats a simple job
Can you please do a video on how to access the plastic coolant bypass tube and the water pump y-tube which are hidden below the intake manifold. Cow of a job.
Martin if i met you in the street it would be like meeting a old pal , i would be how is Sharon getting on and you would be like, who the f**k are you.
Some people believe the oil is a sealant. I explained why we put oil on the ring. It could be wd40, water, grease ect. None of these are sealants but they will aid in the rubber sealing due to friction. The rubber is the sealer, not the lubricant. I thought that was clear from what I said. Did I really have to answer this comment?
I own a 2009 Saturn Astra XR (in Canada). There is a hose that runs behind the coolant reservoir that is unattached to anything on one end. One garage told me this was normal. Is that correct? Any insight you can provide would be appreciated. You are an excellent teacher. I learned a lot. Thanks.
Hi, do you know how to top up the hydraulic oil on the astra bertone convertible at all please? Mine needs topping up but not seen many vids on youtube on how to do this... ive heard that you need to undo a 13mm bolt in the hydraulic pump in the right hand side of the boot by the right rear taillight under the trim and top it up with a syringe maybe? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks and keep up the great content.
Top job there Martin. I did a service video for my Astra G back in 2015 when I started to make actual content. Hopefully, the service might cure your running issue once you've done the fuel filter. James of the "The Savage Garage" has also done a service video for his Astra G.
Hi Martin loving the series so far, I'm servicing my Tucson at the moment. Could you please tell the brand of panel wipe you use? I can't remember which videos you talk about it. Take care and stay safe, Mike.
Hi Martin, on the subject of poor running there is a couple of common problems. Throttle bodies get very dirty and there is also a small breather hose going from the cam cover to the throttle body below the butterfly. The hole is tiny and blocks easily. If its blocked take care not to enlarge the hole when clearing it. Keep the great videos coming 👍
I bet when you changed the pollon filter you had a better air flow it seems as though it would blocked the air coming in bit 👍will be interesting to find out what the problem with car being a bit wooly nice one Martin 👍
Nice 1 Martin, wish Garry would wear propper clothing going out on that bike or any bike , leathers save life's 👍
Could be a bikers hoodie but the jeans and trainers are a definite no-no
This is a special kevlar jeans :)
I guess I am kinda randomly asking but do anyone know of a good site to watch newly released series online?

Haha, we do get spotted quite a bit though.
“Not to make a better seal” just explained why it makes a better seal 🤦♂️

What's the subframe mounts like under the wheel arch mine are rotten
I repainted the subframe as it had surface rust but not structural.
Youve done well with that car mate, looks tidy. Another great vid as well hope all is well.
Thanks 👍
I get what you are saying about the oil Martin, but are you not draining out extra contaminates when the oil is warm ?
No bud.
Good one mate
Cheers Mick.
