Hey, i love the format of your videos. straight to the point diagnosis and fix - and the voice over is better than someone explaining as they go. great way to learn in my opinion.
I've got a fair amount of Craftsman tools that I bought years ago too. SBD didn't do us any favors when they bought the Craftsman brand. Many promises of bringing production back to the US that never materialized. I've bought more expensive tools for things I use everyday. Our coworkers always enjoy when we fog the shop up......Don't they?
I try to be respectful of the smoke but they spew enough diesel exhaust that I don't feel too bad about it. When I was a kid I remember getting a set of Craftsman 1/2" sockets and a ratchet as a Christmas present. No nuts or bolts were safe.

Nice repair, brother! Sorry you don't like that Craftsman driver I recommended. We all have our preferences and all tradesmen are different, lol. Hope you had a nice 4th!
Its really just the switch. I feel I have to search for the button then press hard to activate it, but you're right...to each his own. I may throw a slotted bit in it for those occassional times I want to remove the slack from a chain tensioner screw.
I've got a couple of Crapsman chainsaws. I've got an Endoscope. A couple of paranoid tenants who should be medicated accused of using it to look in their apartments. It's used for small engine repair. I use bamboo skewers to check if I'm not sure there's actual gouges from the scoring. A bamboo skewer certainly won't cause additional damage to the cylinder.
Cleaned the grommet area. Replaced carb return line. Still have a little seepage between grommet and tank. It feels hard. Is there a sealer I could use. Do you prefer questions here or in mail?
Does your shop have any aspiring young mechanics wanting to learn your trade? I was always loved to tinker with small engines growing up. Just wondered if kids are still interested.

Thanks for watching!
Great work! The oil and gas knobs on my top handle are the same color. I haven't made that mistake yet but some day I know I probably will.
It happens often. Most people are relieved to find out they didn't ruin the saw.

I’ve Seen This Several Times I Always Check the Fuel Tank Like You Do Everytime 😎👍🏼 It’s a Very Good Practice
Agreed. On average, how often would you say repairs are fuel related? It only makes sense to look in the tank first.

Great diagnosis and fix. A little more than 2stroke smoke. Laaaaaaater.
Yep. At least it wasn't that biodegradable oil. That stuff stinks.
I think thats the first carb kit ive whatched you do without shmutz!
Sometimes ya get lucky.

I've never tried that but it sounds like it would work.
Great job. It’s nice to know the reason but you still got it fixed. 10 inches dia , different colors , etc……someone will still mix it up.
Yep, someone will still mix it up.
A bug killer and chainsaw combo sweet
Ya couldn't run it long. The doors were closed. No bugs left by my area.
LOL. bar oil in gass tank = going home early 😃
Sometimes I see equipment come in from a crew and I have to wonder.
Hi Scott, where did you buy that flexible inspection light from?
I got mine off a tool truck but they are available online from many vendors. This is the light:

I have an echo string trimmer with a grommet. It’s seeping somewhere. Three lines or grommet. Would you just replace or pressurize the tank. Thanks.
If the grommet feels spongy then I replace it. I've been known to fix small leaks with super glue.
@@TheGreasyShopRag thank you. Take care
@@TheGreasyShopRag sorry but forgot. Once used wd40 to clean. It swelled the grommet stopping the seeping.
@@steveriggenbach90 Huh, another use for wd40.

No we don't but we need to find someone because I won't be doing this forever.
Wow............ that poor saw crankcase was really oil saturated.
Ya it was a smoke show.
Yeah they don't run so well on bar oil!
People that are not mechanically inclined really freak out once they realize what they've done. In reality its not that big a deal.
Can't fix STUPID. The cap says fuel and oil mix right😂. Like the sticker on a push mower, don't place hands or feet under the mower when in operation.
True dat.
shitty design both in the front. Bar oil and fuel.
Not only that but those fill holes are annoyingly small.
Slam!
