I just ordered one. I get what you are saying about the weight, but consider this: the Bote Rackham Aero is 4" longer and 2" wider than a Hobie Pro Angler 12, but weighs 46 lbs compared to the PA @ 105 lbs for the hull alone (125 lbs w/seat and Mirage drive). I have both a Sea Eagle 385 and a Hobie Compass, and it takes just as much time to load the Hobie on the car, strap it down, and pack all the accessories in the trunk as it does to unpack and inflate the Sea Eagle. And with a 12v pump plugged into the car, I can be setting up the rest of my gear while the kayak inflates instead of struggling with getting the kayak on/off the roof rack. I like my Hobie a lot, and it is great for covering distance, but for fishing, an inflatable SUP is so much less hassle. And a flat open deck with no pedals or other things to tangle my fly line will be a welcome benefit.
Why not a i trek 11, it is 44 pound fully rigged. This bote board will be almost 60 with a drive. The hobie drive is pretty weedless and the kick up fin save your drive from shallow rock.
Wish someone would comment on the inflatable SUP or Kayaks on using them in Saltwater fishing. Everyone is telling me i gotta worry about oyster beds. I'm not out looking for sharp stuff anyway that would be just silly and stupid to test the theory . But there overall experience with it. Florida or Gulf coast area in say Flats areas . TIA

I couldn’t agree more!

How durable is it, I’m considering in buying one but I don’t want to buy one and it rips on me 3 months from now
STILL in use after 4 years of use both in NY as well as in Florida! - Sean
I didn't hear you mention the size of the board your revewing.
It’s a 12’4” board
What do you think of this board so far?
The board doesn't handle windy conditions super well but it is a very sturdy board to fly fish from!
