When I first visited Disneyland , back in 1960, this shop was "Merlin's Magic Shoppe." It's one of the 2 Disneyland magic shops where Steve Martin worked.

Fun Fact: Despite wearing the blue version of her gown for most of the film, Aurora's signature color is deep pink because it was the last color displayed in the storybook before 'Sleeping Beauty' ended. It was also to prevent Aurora from being confused with Cinderella. Also lots of edits out there in internet land with Aurora in a green dress, just a quick google search away! Another fun video, thanks!!
Im surprised you didnt mention the history of this store. Merlin is a magician, and this store was the original magic shop! It was in this location where Steve Martin worked behind the counter, demonstrating magic for guests.

Sword in the stone is my all-time favorite Disney movie I got the VHS for my 9th birthday and I watched that sucker on repeat 😂😂 thanks for teaching the next generation about Merlin❤

My mom passed away in April after 4 years with dementia and it has brought my dad joy to watch your travels. He watched every single video in your hotel challenge and would tell me every day where you had been and what he wanted to see when we went. We just found out yesterday he is dying from stage 4 pancreatic cancer and won’t be able to go on a trip after all. In the olde days Merlin's was a Magic Shop like the one on Main Street! I always thought is was the better of the two shops! They always had folks teaching how to do 'slight of hand tricks'! Very fun!
I'm so confused! It's always been an armory to me for as long as I can remember! You could buy expensive knives and swords and the like but most fun, you could look up and purchase your family crest!

I love the purple dress in the Briar Rose scene in Sleeping Beauty. I've been in Merlin's shop once a while back to look for something that I wanted badly but ended up not getting it. Another fun fact about Merlin's shop is that it was there during Disneyland's early years after opening day. They performed magic inside and it was a sight to see in that era. In the late 60s maybe early 70s Merlin’s shop was a magic store where you bought magic tricks and gadgets and prank stuff. I know because my cousin worked in there and I bought a couple of magic tricks what a great time it was thanks for showing us Marlin’s shop and bringing back those memories. ❤

I've always thought that I never watched The Sword In The Stone but then I have always had this incredibly catchy Mad Madam Mim song stuck in my head. I'm thinking I had to have watched it and just don't remember well. I like Briar Rose in pink it's my fav color however I do think green would be pretty too it just wouldn't go as well with the landscape ✌️💜✌️💜
We had a cast member show us that tree outside the castle about two years ago and showed us the Peter Pan + Wendy Darling initials carved in it and I have been amazed that I haven't seen anyone mention it in a video. I got so excited when you started for the tree in your video! "Chris is going to show the Peter and Wendy tree!". You missed it but be sure you go back and look for it! Thanks for all your fun posts.

The song Once Upon a Dream......midway through the movie when Aurora and the Prince sang the same song...BECAUSE THEY HAD DREAMS!!! AND....PINK dress ALWAYS AND FOREVER!!!! It is on a rug on my guest bathroom floor!!!! Because, YES....at "almost" 58 years old....I BELIEVE IN DREAMS AND FAIRYTALES AND HAPPILY EVER AFTER!!!!
