I just recently got my Vitamix, and those crazy people that swear it is their life.... Are RIGHT! I love mine 💖 And after seeing Sadia's beautiful white Dutch oven I was in love, but went a cheaper route this time, and got the "Cravings" all cast iron with a chic brushed gold handle. It takes a little more work than the enamel, but carefully treating my pot after each use makes me feel connected to the process and love found in my kitchen. All warm and fuzzy 🤗. Thanks for another great video Sadia.
Love the video, my grandma gave me a magimix food blender when I was 15 I'm now 45 and it is still working perfectly. I love it for so many reasons and definitely could not live without it. I am, however, a sucker for kitchen gadgets.x
I used to say I love my vitamix. Now I know it is my instant pot and food processor I love the most. I can get out the julliene blade for the food processor and make potato shreds and then freeze them for later use. I can have a cheap source of hashbrowns ready to go if I want them. Also I can make veggie burgers, gluten free desserts, and the list goes on. The instant pot helps me cook dried beans and grains to perfection. Just as good as canned beans but cheaper and creating less waste.

Absolutely love my Magimix XL, mine also came with juicer attachment. I use it for nut and seed butters among other things, but it was the best investment I've ever made. Jo from London, UK
Hey Sadia, I just wanted to thank you for being so thorough in the descriptions of the related videos you have in each of your videos. Numbered, hyperlinked - it may seem like overkill as you type it, but it is oh so helpful! Thank you!
I can't live without my hand blender. I absolutely love it and it helps me make soup and dressing, guacamole and I even chop nuts and seed with it. No more chopping cuts on my fingers thanks to that bad boy. I'm using BOSH MaxoMixx 750W mid range price, but for me priceless 😊😁. We leave in a very small apartment and is taking no space at all.
Immersion blender.. for smoothies with a large jar and soups in the colder seasons - two staples - stick blenders are so affordable, minimal and very very easy to clean up. Also, maybe a potato masher and pestle and mortar. I like the idea of having as few appliances as possible so use those for making dips/houmous, bean burgers, pesto and the like.. It seems nice to abstain from electricity sometimes!
probably the most helpful appliance video I've watched. I always start them and then get overwhelmed and don't finish because I really don't like having too much stuff... I love the minimalist approach. thank you :)
One of my goals in life is to have a kitchen like yours! It is so beautiful, and everything you have seems to have a purpose. I don’t want to many appliances on my counter! Thank you for sharing! :D
I live for my Vitamix. I just sold my food processor because I haven't used it since I bought my Vitamix. Like you said, it is a very personal preference!
I am from India. We use something called a Mixie. It has three jars. Small one for spices and nuts. Middle one for semi solids like gravies. And last one the biggest is more like a blender and also to make dosa flour etc. It’s useful. But I’d love to own a hand blender soon. Thanks for this video. Useful as always ❤️
I just bought a Ninja system from Costco that includes a big blender, food processor, and 2 of the travel-sized blenders she showed in this video and they all work on the same base! Cheaper than a Vitamix and more powerful than we will ever need. I think it's less wasteful like that than having a different base for every appliance. Now if only a stand mixer was also included, that would be perfection lol. This is an old video so I doubt Sadia will see this but I'd love to know why you don't have a stand mixer. They're so expensive but so many baking recipes call for it, I would really like to know what you do when a recipe tells you to use a stand mixer
@ryan van der veer We're very happy with it, I can't think of any issues. The pitchers are plastic, but so are the Vitamix ones, so maybe that's better for a reason I'm not aware of? lol
Love that this is also minimal.... I'm very minimal in the kitchen due to space and financial restrictions, and it's great that so many of your recipes are accessible no matter what kind of equipment you have.
Thank you for mentioning this is a shared studio. I’ve been obsessed with the look of ,what I thought to be, your kitchen. I was going to ask you about the plants and how you upkeep, but that’s probably done by the owners of the space. Thanks anyway for this video, helpful.
Vita-mix...my by far best purchase. It has a dry mixer so you can blend nuts as well like a food processor. I love it. It can make soups too. I totally recommend

I swear this is the best channel ever. I am having to reparent myself to get my health and really my life in order, and it's all so overwhelming. But the videos on this channel have helped *a lot*. Really grateful!
I've used my hand blender various ways including " mini food processor ". I grind up flax seeds , pumkin seeds and oats. Works great. I use my nutribullet select to make my smoothies. But there are other ways to use it as well. I just haven't done anything else. I got that one because it took me forever to make smoothies in a regular blender. I had to use a large spoon to push things down. I still have the blender just in case I need it again.
I’m just getting into “real” cooking and boy did i underestimate having a good knife too! Been using my blender a lot more as well. Love your channel, its aesthetic and the inspiration from your recipes!
Good quality knives would be essential. Next up: a wok - waited for years to get one, now I’m using it several times a week. Get one with a round bottom!
Great video, I have not seen a video like this before, it was sooo helpful to know that I only need 2 to 3 appliances to make the healthy food and drinks. I'm an average cook , aspire to learn more about cooking, create variety of food, I always stressed about not having or knowing what to use for what. You have put all my doubts to rest. I appreciate you explaining the simple things that sometimes we need to know the most when starting out something. You have helped me get my basics right. Thank you.
I can’t live without my vitamix. I use it at least three times a day and I’ve had it for over four ears now. Almost five!! Every other blender I had lasted just months, and cost anywhere from $75 - $100. I got my Vitamix on sale around Christmas one year and had a 20% off Black Friday coupon that I stacked with it, and it cost me around $200. It was well worth the wait to shop around!
As a baker, I love my stand mixer. But for versatility, I love my Ninja Blender/food processor combo. It’s really powerful, but its. drawback is that it is really loud.
Sadia! Love from India, I get immensely motivated to stick to healthier eating because of your videos. I particularly like how calm and happy you seem to appear. I also love how you have the ability to be very excited for very small things.... Thank you! Keep up the good work.
I work full time and am a full time mom. I love my instapot and my Vitamix. I have had my Vitamix for like 15 years. I have a really old one. Love them both!
This is perfect timing for me. Thank you! I want to invest in Vitamix, but did not know which model will last a long time. I will go with the one you listed.
Hi Sadia! Such an inspiration you are ! Much love . There is a cooking utensil called pressure cooker we normally use in India to cook our rice and lentils and curries to even deserts. Minimizes oil usage and cooking time.
@@dattanisuma Here you go... Caramel Custard (in 5 Litre pressure cooker) Serves: 6 Pressure Cooking Time 10 minutes
¾ cup / 150 g sugar 1 ¼ cups / 300 ml water 2 cups / 480 ml milk 3 eggs ½ tsp / 2.5 ml vanilla extract Method 1 To make the caramel: In a small, heavy saucepan, combine ½ cup/100 g sugar and ¼ cup/60 ml water. Place pan on low heat and stir till sugar is completely dissolved. After all the sugar is dissolved, increase heat to medium-high. Bring to boil and continue cooking till the syrup turns a deep golden colour. Remove pan from heat. Wearing oven mitts, pour the caramel in a 1 quart /1-litre mould and tip and turn the mould to coat evenly bottom and sides. Allow the caramel to cool. (If you do not have a mould you can use any flat vessel the only thing is it will not be pretty). 2 Boil milk and allow to cool slightly. 3 In a bowl, beat eggs lightly to mix yolks and whites. Add vanilla and remaining sugar (¼ cup/60 ml). Stir. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly. 4 Pour milk mixture through a strainer in the caramel-coated mould. Cover mould tightly with aluminium foil. 5 Pour remaining water (1 cup/240 ml) in cooker. Place grid in cooker. Place mould on the grid. 6 Close cooker. Bring to full pressure on high heat. Reduce heat and cook 10 minutes. 7 Remove cooker from heat. Allow cooling naturally. 8 Open cooker. Take out and uncover mould. (Custard will continue to set as it cools). Allow cooling to room temperature. Refrigerate. 9 Place a serving dish (large enough to accommodate caramel sauce) on top of the mould and invert. Shake gently to release. Remove mould. Serve cold. ENJOY 🍮
Nice video! I have the Vitamix and the cocotte, For the moment I'm surviving without food processor, but if I feel I need it in the future, probably I would buy the hand blender set with the mini food processor Also, love Global knifes (are in my wish list) and use jars and glass continers for my meal preps.
I’m a fairly new vegan and I can’t live w/o my Vitamix. Bless my husband. Also I eat massive amounts of salads so my glass containers for all my chopped( by hand) veggies. I like chopping.
I just love all the green everywhere! ✨🌿 I have an OLD ninja blender and even though I have had it for over 5 years, I wont repuchase. The lid is broken in 4 places and gunk gets stuck underneath the pitcher area as there are lots if tiny crevases. Its good but Im going for that Vitamix next time. That ninja is like a huge version of a magic bullet lol Love you Sadia!
I use my air fryer all the time. To be honest though, if I had a convection oven I don’t think I’d use it as much. They do pretty much the exact same thing.
Brilliant video! I’m often wondering what appliances do I need and what will I get the most use out of. In my kitchen I love a good spice rack, and also having the utensils you use most frequently, easy to get to.
Beyond a knife, my wok is the kitchen appliance I can't live without! The deep capacity makes it capable of handling anything from boiling pasta, to stir-frying, to simmering soup (you name it!) and of course it's also capable of handling frying eggs or fish or pancakes or anything else you throw in it. Practically any cooking task can be done in a wok, so it's the first thing I need whenever I move.
My Vitamix is the only appliance I cannot live without. I have had mine for twenty eight years and it still works like day one. Whatever I have thrown at it, it has handles beautifully, even almond butter and crushed walnuts for my walnut and pomegranate stew.
@@ochomsophie143 the brand is Vitamix. But do not purchase from Costco. Pay the extra and buy directly from Vitamix. Since ours is so old, it was the one basic model they had at the time. It came with two pitchers and a plunger stick. One for grains, to make flour, and a regular one for smoothies or making soups. I would not buy from Costco because I have heard all appliances made for Costco are specifically manufactured for them and some corners are cut to make it more affordable. They are still really good but just a little different from what they sell outside. I bought food processor from Costco that I returned as the bowl size was not what the company usually makes!

Here you go...
Caramel Custard
(in 5 Litre pressure cooker)
Serves: 6
Pressure Cooking Time 10 minutes
¾ cup / 150 g sugar
1 ¼ cups / 300 ml water
2 cups / 480 ml milk
3 eggs
½ tsp / 2.5 ml vanilla extract
Method
1 To make the caramel: In a small, heavy saucepan, combine ½ cup/100 g sugar and ¼ cup/60 ml water.
Serve cold. ENJOY 🍮

Wow
The quality sharp knives were a game changer for me. Got them for my birthday and they're amazing.
My MagiMix is the best thing I've ever bought for my kitchen!
Your channel helped me to really crave for healthy foods, I'm drooling every time I see your recipes, they are so beautiful and appealing
Lesson: get yourself a Robin's mom to gift you incredibly useful things
🤣🤣🤣
8:42..... your genuinenity and that expression full of contentment
I'm so happy you shared your kitchen essentials! 😍 Thank you soooo much, Sadia!
You are so incredibly authentic and one of a kind! You always inspire me! 💕🌸
Ahh this channel is such a great discovery, love it!
we got mum a thermomix as a gift, it does everything! Cooks, blends, processes, it really cuts down on prep and cook time
I use my air fryer all the time.
Hello sadia I love ur videos and eagerly waiting for next.thanks for making my day .🙏from india
U are so adorable sadia....Just feels like i can watch u speaking anytime and everytime....🥰
Agree ✔😄
@@BiancaRibet At least somebody agrees if not sadia🙂
Loved your videos and your kitchen too. Please make a video giving tour to your kitchen. I am fascinated by how it’s covered with plants!!
Blender! I can’t live without my daily smoothies. But I would love more space to accommodate more gadgets, specifically a food processor.
Could not live without my chef knive and blender!
I was just waiting for your video love ypur videos alot
Super amazing video 💜💜
My Vitamix is the only appliance I cannot live without. I have had mine for twenty eight years and it still works like day one. Whatever I have thrown at it, it has handles beautifully, even almond butter and crushed walnuts for my walnut and pomegranate stew.
Wow!which brand do you use cz am looking forward to buying one
Beautiful shirt
