- It's was a very exciting day for... LET'S JUST SAY 🥴
Today, we started off the day by replacing rear brake discs and pads on a 2012 Hyundai i20. This one surprised me the most. I couldn't believe that the customer is still alive and well after seeing his brake discs like that. Wouldn't have skidded, surely?
Next stop is a clutch and dual-mass flywheel replacement on a 2015 Audi A3. The customer only came down to Brighton to visit friends and watch a gig, but unfortunately for him, his concentric slave cylinder failed, causing him to get stuck in Brighton. His car is now ready to go back up North.

@suratullahkhan6158 clearly not automatic when you can see the clutch and flywheel. 😂 It would have been a torque converter if it was automatic.

I flat out refuse to fit Eicher (known as Eishite). Used them once for a customer and they were warped from new. (Yes I did clean the hubs). Cheapest I use is Pagid but will only fit Brembo or Mintex in my own vehicles.

Been repairing cars for years, ( DIY )couldn’t agree more about using a good name parts. Used to look for lowest cost now will only buy a good brand.

Random one my relay won't start when its warm its an 07 plate. Have change loads of sensors filters etc. After the 5th or 6th time it will start have checked battery connections and replaced battery. No error codes now just reluctance to start when its been running a while

Probably injector/s leaking off fuel pressure.
I used to work for a taxi firm and DW10's do suffer with this especially when warm. Please feel free to tell me off if i'm not allowed to diagnose issues here 🤣🤣

Nothing will beat a dealer’s diagnostic machine. After-market, I’d go for Autel/TopDon

Have you got any experience of drivetec lower arms / front track control arms, do the rubber bushes last ok on them?
This is just my opinion but I’ve never really had bad experience with them, even though they’re not my first pick, I’d consider them ‘okay’. Not good, not bad. Not something I’d fit to a premium brand for sure

It never ceases to amaze me how bad some customers let their vehicles go, and still keep on driving them. Those brakes must've sounded like nails on a blackboard when they were applied?

A replacement will be hundreds of £ because the flexi, downpipe and cat converter are all one piece. There are kits online that are for just replacing the flexi and are obviously much cheaper (and the flexi part is better quality)

The amount of times ive had to grind the little lugs on eicher pads is an absolute joke. Ive stopped using them

At what point does a normal human not realise from the sound alone, never mind the brake pedal feel, that their brakes are completely shot, i cringed when i saw that sight.

Not only his caliper, by the state of the contact patch on those discs, even his life!!

@themarvelousvlog ik the discs can be £40 difference but seriously! But ik for dads peugeot the pads were £50 for the front from euros £30 from gsf ik theyre different brands for brembo or pagid but i went with delphi as i dont mind em theyre decent quality. Apecs also good.
