Captain Falcon was furious because he only piloted the Red Falcon on the assumption he would get wings out of the deal. He did not.

Ever wondered if the 07 on the blue falcon is a tribute to F-Zero being the big demonstration of the mode 7 graphics on the SNES? Cuz the number was actually 111 in the first F-Zero, but when X came out it changed to 07

It does disappoint me that they so blatantly spoil this reveal, on the plus side though, the reveal is so good that it makes up for it to an extent.

The Red Bull is the Blue Falcon with better body strength and 940 more kg in weight. If this was GX this would make it the objectively superior machine, but Climax is a bit more balanced. Looks like the anime universe has made F Zero machines overall better, as quite a few of their machines have 12 point stats as opposed to 11. Perhaps in a future F Zero machines will have better stats, but compensated in other areas.
