I have been using this fin for 2 years now and agree 100% with this review, could not have said it better myself :). I also agree that you need to have a very good technique already to get anywhere with this fin. It is quite the powerful motor when you have the dolphin kick down; but until then, it is best to use a more traditional mono such as the aquamermaid one to perfect your technique.
I will probably not see any answer, if you give me one... but I've been in contact with the creator of the Dolphin Fin... he's 92 years old 'n' still going strong! I think I'm the LAST person to get one, cause he told me his web site is now "Out Of Business"... so now he's only asked me for $110. USD. I really like my Dolphin Fin!
Try to accentuate the wave movement. Dive to go touch the bottom of the pool and push yourself up to come back up. Repeat that movement to understand the wave movement. Important make sure to not kick with your knees :)
It's best to practice the movement with at least regular fins first if you do not have a monofin. It is very difficult to learn it without a mono or bifins. Start by extending your arms, keeping them straight and laying your hands over one another, like when practicing swimming kicks. The wavy arm thing is for esthetics only and does not contribute to the actual movement, so its best to forget it until you get the basic movement down. Focus on your hip movement, bowing your entire body back and forth because that is where most of your power will come from and keep your knees together. You know how you see dolphins' backs roll out of the water when they swim? Well for a mermaid or monofin swimmer, the equivalent is their bum lol! Also, aquamermaid made a great "incorrect ways to swim like a mermaid" that is very helpful. Hope that helps!
Please stop using my image as a thumbnail for this video of yours. That H2O tail with the Sun Tail monofin inside of it, that belongs to me. For everyone else, if you search "mermaid monofin" and scroll down, you will see it in the results. My video is no way related or has a Dol-Fin monofin. Nor am I associated with AquaMermaid.
So 27 Inches from tip to tip, so it does not fit in a Carry on Bag, You need to Check it at the Airport. I'm thinking of making a Fin under 20 inches about 18 - 19 Inches long.
I just attempted to email the company and their email address is no longer in service. I am pretty sad, since I really enjoy the look of this fin! I guess they no longer are selling?
It is impossible to get in cobtact with the dolfin monofin selker, does anybody knows about a working email? I am from italy and want to buy the fin for this summer vacation but does not know how to contact them and buy the tail also i need to know how much is the price for sending in italy... I guess they are not serious if they have a website but you xannot pay onlune or send a mail to them...
Hello there! I already received the tail and it's awesome! Thanks for everything! Oh and I have a last question, are mermaid tails allowed in public pools? (in regard to hygiene, safety etc) By the way I really like those monofin reviews, they are very helpful and enjoyable. :-)
Each public pool has their own regulation according mermaid tail. You should always ask the lifeguard before if you can swim with your tail. Sometime they will ask you to do a swim test to make sure you will be safe.
When you showed us the size of the Dol-phin tail, you showed the new Fin Fun monofin as a comparison. So if you have the new fin fun monofin, why use the old fun fun model in your other review videos, for example: your toy vs professional tail review?
I've never seen any of your videos but the way you said Muppet was so adorable 😄 you've gained a new subscriber
What if someone make fabric for this? That’d be really cool

Thank you!
I have one question how can you get this product
Where can I find that fin? I’ve searched online but they are not the same fin as yours. They are just fabric fins that are for mermaids
I feel like this would go well with finfun's shark fin (though they arw different animals)
Can you make a video of all the mono fins you have experienced which one is the fastest?
thank you for the suggestion I will work on that
Because I had to lookup that (via Google): 27" is 68,58cm
honestly, it looks like a giant mustache 😂
I would love a video on mermaid makeup and jewelry for under the water and some good tails for this age group (11-14)❤
Thank you for the suggestion! I will be looking for good video content for you.
Thank you!❤ So glad you replied!
wow I dont think they are selling this product any more and I an really, really, really sad

I have a problem with spins! Whenever I spin I keep getting water in my nose! Idk what to do
Blow bubbles with your nose when you spin
