when it comes to parties, what should a mer have prepared? other than props. like skit wise? what have you seen work best? also, when it comes to the swimming classes, if you have students who want tails but you do not make them, you can buy from someone who does. but should there be an extra fee added so you as the middle mer receive a small profit? or is that not something you should do?
Hello Stephanie, - For mermaid swimming parties you should bring accessories like hula hoops or pool sinking toys. - Skills wise you should practice your dolphin kick on your front, back and side. You should be able to swim without using your arms if you need to hold kids and/or accessories. You should be able to guide the swimmers to take nice mermaid photos. You should practice to flip you tail after diving to make a nice splash. - To sell mermaid tails you can buy our Aquamermaid tails at wholesale price sell them at retail price. It all depends what you want to do with your tail. Different models are better for different use. As a starter mermaid tail we recommend ou Aquamermaid tail. aquamermaid.com/collections/store/products/mermaid-tail It is light and it includes a real fin inside. It will give you a lot of power when you swim and flexibility to do more advance movements compare smaller fins like toys. You could be a Vet and a Mermaid. You can tell your parent you are being a mermaid now just for fun and to do sport and later if you want to start working as a mermaid you can do it part time to start.

I plan on getting a furred tail so I can swim in the winter. As I am also on the chunky side I can say that I'm an Artic mermaid with a layer of blubber to keep me warm. I think my local zoo/aquarium would be ok with this. But I need to ask first. I think the zoo is an amazing place.

I think that it might actually be easier sometimes because there aren't very many mermen, so photographers and shows need more. However, it may be hard to overcome stereotypes, but I say go for it!
NEGAN I would argue it's easier. There aren't as many mermen as there are mermaids. So you won't have as much competition. But to be honest, I'm no mermaid so I have no idea how easy it is. I imagine it isn't that different from any other performer.
