- Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! TH-cam's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we'll take an up close and personal, in depth look at the 2006 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.
MSRP pricing of the SLR, before options, began somewhere around $450,000.
During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

Savage, salvaged or cabbage. I want this car. Maybe when I'm a doctor I can afford a used one. SLR puts rolls Bentley and lambos to shame. Considering a 6 year old used SLR costs the same as a late model brand new rolls or lambo.

Excellent tour and in-depth review of one of my all-time favorite cars, Kyle. The SLR McLaren is a truly formidable supercar, a marriage of two auto manufacturers' illustrious racing history in F1 bought together for a engineering and artistic marvel of a road car. Amazing!
This car is now almost 10 years old and it's absolutely incredible. The looks and power blow away a majority of sports cars today.

This car is awesome. When it came out I think it was overshadowed by the Ferrari Enzo, Porsche Carrera GT, and Ford GT.
Perfectly said. Also, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 was just around the corner as well. A shame though, since the SLR is just as cool.

Still til this day my favourite car. I don't care that it's old or that it's auto. The short little butt and that long nose and those fan blade rims are just...... gah....beautiful. I shouldn't watch shit like this, it just makes me depressed.

I actually like the fact its an automatic. These 5 speed transmissions were used in many Merc models and even Chrysler (300C) and Dodge used it for their own cars (Challenger & Charger).
It was a tough transmission built to handle gobs of torque and be smooth in shifts.

xBuzz996 if the engine has just been started, it's cold. it has nothing to do with the temperature outside. the internal parts arent up to operating temperature and neither are the lubricants.

well it was made in 2005 and the 2006 version basically has no changes and it wasn't really a average car this specially made for racing

I for years have been a fan of your videos, especially the every day cars, the practical ones. U plan on getting my first car in a few months now and am looking at a Hyundai Tiburon GT. I know you did a Tiburon when you were comparing it to your Genesis "amazing car", but you did the basic Tiburon. If you could find a GT "preferably manual" to review it would really help me assure that I want that to be my car. Thank you :)
