4 years later, and here's the answer: There was a glitch when Brood War was first released (v1.04) involved triggering Hydralisk's morph to lurker ability on other units. First, hotkey a hydralisk into a group (for this example, group 1). Research the Lurker Morph upgrade. Have the zergling group selected, then quickly switch to the hydra and activate the morph Lurker ability (essentially pressing 1 + L very quickly). If done correctly, the zergling group will actually morph into Guardians instead of the hydra into lurker. You can cancel those Guardian cocoons and get yourself a nice bunch of Mutalisks there. You can slow the game down to have better chance at triggering this glitch (which was done in this video). This glitch was of course immediately patched in v1.05
