    The limited number of family members to deal with is very appealing. Leaving time to actually care for the patient.

      Agree!! Especially with this open visitation policies and now being present at shift report.... That did it for me!

      This is the struggle as family and patient are one. See article about nurse-patient Liason in JOPAN. It’s about the patient, not about the nurse. A NPL does the socializing and coordination of one family member for short pacu phase 1 visit.

    Join ASPAN know the national standards so that your practice doesn’t get high-jacked by business model and throughput. Many institutions see PACU as a machine. Don’t let this happen.
