I went from the iPhone 6s to the Galaxy s10e for a few years. Now, I'm ready to return to the Apple Ecosystem for many reasons. I miss the compatibility and ease of texts and moreso sending videos in group chats between family and friends. The IOS system is easier and more reliable. Apps are more compatible (subjectively speaking) and the Apple video recording is on a next level in the phone industry. What's the point of having an amazing spec'd out camera if the apps you want to post the photos/videos for degrades them if you have an Android? That's another reason. And boy, that iPhone 12 Mini is the perfect size to come back to. I do have a question before switching, would you recommend going for the 12 Mini or waiting for the 13 in the fall?
The s10e is also a great phone, but I think you will appreciate the refinement of the 12 mini. You seem to be one to care about the Apple ecosystem and proprietary goodies. Honest Review being a first time Iphone User 1. The size and form factor is great, reminds me of the old days and I like it. I can easily slip it into my pocket/purse/bag. 2. Display is superb. Pro looking tiny but cute phone. 3. Speaker can be compared side by side to the speaker of my ipad mini 5. It sounds very clear. 4. Speed. Hats off to A14 bionic chip, it does the job. 5. Battery is not great but pretty decent. I charged my phone yesterday at 7PM and at 6AM today I still have 60% with moderate use of chat and messaging apps/ with wifi on/light to moderate browsing including youtube. I recoomend this phone to those who treat their smartphones as a “phone” and use their tablet/ipad for high content consumption. If you’re on the gaming side, video/photo editing/ get the regular or pro size.

I’ve been using large phones, I carry an iPhone 12 and galaxy s20 Fe. So I decided to trade out an old phone laying around and got a great deal for the mini. I swear that at first I couldn’t tell I was holding the mini. Dropping to a 6.1 inch to a 5.4 inch, the way that both phones feel it’s hard to tell. The way I noticed was how I could type with my one hand. It’s like my brain doesn’t want to except that the mini is smaller 😂. Battery life is awful. But it’s worth it since fast charging is a thing. Plus my Gs20Fe can wirelessly charge the iphone in a crunch if I need it that bad, I can. But if you are a moderate user the battery life will be fine. But definitely carry a charger or battery pack if you can. I’ve seen MagSafe battery packs that will stick to the back.

I have watched so many review videos and I am subscribing to you man because I see great potential in you. You're not just throwing specs out. You are honestly telling us what is your experience with the phone. You know what you do. There are just some details that you can research about if you are not sure like the dual sim capability. The 12 mini is dual sim capable (nano-SIM and eSIM) or if your variant is really not capable of such, you can point that out more so that we'll know. Nevertheless, you did a great job! I am excited to see your channel grow. Keep it up man, your good!
Great point about the battery. Batteries deteriorate by the number of charging cycles. Sure, the 12 mini depletes faster and conversely charges up quicker. But if it takes 2 charging cycles to to go through a 10 hour day vs. 1 charging cycle for an android phone to work the same amount of hours, then the iphone 12 mini battery will have theoretically half the lifespan of a big-battery android phone.
Just like you, I switched from Android after 13 years! The iPhone 12 mini does everything that I want it to without taxing me with a big form factor. You echoed my thoughts about the iPhone. Thankfully, I never play games on a phone, so no problem for me. Surprisingly, it’s great for viewing content and editing documents! This has almost replaced a laptop for me.
Full body (or close to) screens have been a game changer for small phones. Compared to phones like the iPhone 5 or original SE, or even the 7 and 2020 SE, the 12 Mini is a completely different experience.
Bought this beauty last week after using android my whole life and I don’t regret it. I really love it and the shape is to die for. My main reason of shifting to iPhone was the cute shape and the small compact size apt for my small hands and I finally grabbed it while I could. Though I’m facing some audio call issues probably need to visit the store. I can assure I will hold on to it for a long time.

When I go out I just turn on Low power mode . This will help a lot. Really no regret change back to small size phone. We have to check in everywhere due to pandemic. Small phones can be just put into pockets. Easier to access. Moreover you can charge mini quite fast. I don’t play game on phone. Any app keeps transferring data will drain battery fast. When I open bank apps always heat up “every iPhone”. For eco system, I hate region lock on iTunes nowadays. I bought music from Japan store now they cannot be played on iPhone. I paid ! For music subscription Spotify and TH-cam are so much better. I have an iPad, an Apple Watch, a Nintendo switch and 3DS. Mini is enough. Games on smartphones are just not great due to its limitation and you end up spend more money compare to a game console cartridges. I used to spend a lot on smartphone games. That is a scam.
Switched from Samsung galaxy s21 ultra to iPhone 13 mini . I was so tired of the phablet I needed something small to carry around and use with one hand and I was interested in the mini since 2020 so I decided why not. I’m loving my little guy
I am seriously considering this one as my 1st gen iPhone SE just got water damage and I found myself having difficult time switching back to larger phones. Two things stop me from getting it are the price and the fact that the 13 Mini with many upgrades is coming in a few months.
One point I guess we need to be aware is that since the charging is more often times than a larger battery android or pro max, the battery health will drop drastically faster.
Mike, I’m switching to the Mini from the 12 Pro this week. Can’t bear any longer to wield and type a heavy phone, surgical steel notwithstanding. I know the next Mini is due in 8 weeks but the current notch is no deal breaker. The form is everything I think and it helps to know it can do everything with ace night photos like the Pro/Max.
@@janarthanansubramanian5004 They were all changes for the good in my opinion. The battery is not a cliff dive at all. The overwhelming change to still have the power of a 12 in my pocket, and a reasonable size is so worth it all. Weather I’m in dress pants or exercising, i barely even notice it in my pocket. No printing, and no heavy brick anymore. If I need a bigger screen, I simply bust out my iPad Pro.
64 gigs is solid. Unless you a phone gamer. Those are the big apps. But 64 gigs for me is great! I only use 20 gigs with all my daily apps. I stream my music, if I pay for unlimited data Ima use that ! And photos are easily backed up to cloud service. Just how I live my life
Very helpful video Michael, I tempted to try the iPhone 13 mini when it’s released this year, as the 11 is to big for pockets. The problem is I shoot my TH-cam videos on the iPhone 11, I’m wondering if the smaller phone will be a little to fiddly to operate
Just upgraded from the iPhone X to the 128GB Mini through Verizon. With my trade-in it cost me a whopping $109! Sooo worth it.....finally have the small form factor I loved with the iPhone 6!
I have the 8t and a black mini 128gb. Love them both but I keep coming back full time to the iPhone even after 10 years with android, all my brothers and wife have an iPhone, and all my co workers and best friend, so, yea, I guess it's iPhone for life (with an android on the side)
I really wanna upgrade to this phone soon, I just like small iphones, currently using an iphone SE 2020 and I love it, but the bigger screen and better camera are tempting... I come from a Galaxy S20 FE and yeah, it’s a big change but there’s just something about iphones that’s so smooth and works so well, I’m willing to give away some features for the user experience :)
I brought this model of iPhone for my first iPhone and I really love it! I am still learning about it as the last phone was, let's just old ok a Nokia N900! things were not easy for me ok! 😉🤪
That green is so sick I ordered one yesterday in 128 gig over the 13 mini. Not worried about battery or not getting the a15, I only average 1 hr of screen time a day and 6 hours of podcasting.
I got the mint today! Cheers! Curious as to whether you chose a case with it. White cases are so tough to find! I went with the Rhinoshield solidsuit white case with mint buttons :).
@@motoworlddd I just ordered the white with mint buttons yesterday from Rhinoshield website. It could take 5-10 days for it to arrive here. The only other alternative was the Moshi case but I don't like the off-white beige-ish sides.
Getting this tommorow my 1st iPhone I've only ever had android Not concerned about the battery or storage I don't use my phone much plus my LG stylo 4 has only 30gb of storage and all my stuff fits cause I don't overload my phone
I have the 128gig model of this phone. Like the reviewer said if I had the 64 gig I probably wouldn’t enjoy my experience as much. I’d order it from the Apple store or order from your cell phone provider, and wait for it instead of settling for the 64 gig. 👌
I have the same issue. Got the 12. Then got the mini. Now I want the 12 back again…but I know realistically it’s a bit too heavy and too large for one handed…so that ruins it for me ..but the mini just isn’t as immersive..it doesn’t even feel like I got a new phone really… I guess I’ll stay with the mini tho cause that one handed use is important to me
My first phone was iPhone 4s and I absolutely loved it until it broke and I got iPhone 7 plus. however, that was way too big for my hands and my comfort. Since 2 months ago, I've switched to 12 mini and I am 100% loving it! it's so cute, a beast in a small compartment, and has the same design feeling as my beloved 4s. I haven't had any problems so far and not a single day goes by that I miss those big phones. I highly recommend getting 12 mini if you don't play many games because while playing intensively the battery drops heavily. however, any other aspect of this phone is similar to that of iPhone 12.
I've been hunting for this form factor since a while now, I ended upgrading to the S20 last year, and the only thing that deterred me from buying this was the refresh rate, which I find amazing on the s20. At some point will pick up the mini, but will keep an android phone hanging around the house for the battery life.
Went from iPhone 11 to iPhone 12 mini. I am not entirely sure on it. I like how it’s small enough for my hand, but I feel like I’m getting a downgrade at the same time due to the screen size and battery life. I really do like the phone. I have the white and it looks luxe. Im going to keep it. I’ll just use my iPhone 11 for watching videos, video games and when I plan to be on social media for sometime while I’m at home.
hello I currently have a note 20 ultra as my main phone, in fact I have 2, one personal and one from the office, which is very tiring and annoying. Since both phones are the same, I always have to turn them over and see the animation to know which phone I have to use, so I made the decision to buy an iphone mini as my office phone and I can tell you that it is one of the best decisions I've ever made. The size of the iphone mini screen is so small compared to the note 20 ultra that the time I want to spend on the phone has been dramatically reduced, with this change I have realized that I do not really need to spend as much time in front of it. phone, in other words, it is a very good digital detox. Previously to leave home I always carried my personal phone for any situation that might arise, but with the practicality of the mini, now in day situations I only charge with the mini and at night or meetings where I know that it will not involve a lot of alcohol I use the note 20 ultra since definitely the quality of night photography is an issue where apple for me could not compete.
Honestly I think that the peeps that are going to play games are going to want larger screen and larger battery, for the rest of us that want to put the phone in smaller pockets and enjoy one handed operation and lighter weight its great. Much like the SE but with the extra bells and whistles and a little better battery than the SE, and 5G capable. I dont want to carry the mini-tablet sized phone around..no way for me. Huge phones weighs too much for cycling too. Decent honest video here. And you can use your old charger if you had one.
It was the watch and iMessage ... The galaxy watch 3 is pretty good and worth a try. I use both but this last year I’ve used a Galaxy S20 + and have been really Pleased with the camera , screen obviously it’s probably the best screen out there or one of the best and Samsung has really upped their game when it comes to software updates and security updates they come regularly on this phone.
Very true. I had the S20+ before the OnePlus 8. A great phone overall. The Apple Watch and iMessage truly were the deciding factors on coming back to iOS.

The 12 mini is dual sim capable (nano-SIM and eSIM) or if your variant is really not capable of such, you can point that out more so that we'll know. Nevertheless, you did a great job! I am excited to see your channel grow. Keep it up man, your good!
Thanks for your support!
The larger iPhone 12 versions have a longer battery life as well, but you wouldn’t be getting a small phone if that’s what you want.
Good informative video. I liked the way you showed the size comparison by pulling mini back...its really tiny.
Thanks for your support!
Watching this from my mini ! I switch from iPhone 11 to the mini best thing I have ever done !
Nice! Thanks for watching !
My battery is so bad it looses so much battery when it’s off.
@@omaid05 what’s your battery health ? Mine usually last all day if I use it for emails calls and text . If I watch videos then yeah It will last maybe 5 hours .
Considering changing from iphone 11 pro to 12 mini. Need a small one
@@tirswa6721 you should ! It’s life changing !
Love my iPhone 12 mini white small fits into mostly all bags 💼
Great review, thanks!
Excellent review! Ultra underrated for this quality content! I switched from oneplus7t to mini. Like u said keep coming back and forward.but mini is winner. Love the camera the most
Hey thanks for watching ! Did you pair with an Apple Watch too?
🙋♀️Mate, really! I to have 7t... Am just thinking on the battery life..! Is it so much awful...? Is that sure I can switch...?
@@jonsnow5379 depends bro , I have watched some tests , and 4- 5hrs(includes 30 min of gaming , browsing , video recording , social media) of normal continuous usage , sorry for late reply
Very good content. Quality work !
I just switched from iphone 12 pro max to iphone 12 mini. So nice to hold and very light.
Wow that must have been a big difference. Much lighter. Thanks for watching !
Good insights and I must agree with you. Thanks for watching!
Switched from Samsung galaxy s21 ultra to iPhone 13 mini . I was so tired of the phablet I needed something small to carry around and use with one hand and I was interested in the mini since 2020 so I decided why not. I’m loving my little guy
I love my iPhone 12 mini and I hope Apple will not discontinue small phones in the future
They did unfortunately. The iPhone 13 is the last mini phone they will make.
No doubt
It’s mini in the size only
The best iphone 😍😍😍
12 mini 💕
I had the Pro Max for a month. Switched to Mini and was the best change Ive ever made..
How did you manage the many degrees of changes ? Screen, battery, camera
@@SmithK95 well said
64 gigs is solid. Unless you a phone gamer. Those are the big apps. But 64 gigs for me is great! I only use 20 gigs with all my daily apps. I stream my music, if I pay for unlimited data Ima use that ! And photos are easily backed up to cloud service. Just how I live my life
great review. i liked the way u presented it
Just subscribed ~ very nice review.
EXCELLENT👏🏼
The US version has dual sim too. I use mine with Tmobile and Verizon 😊
Very helpful video Michael, I tempted to try the iPhone 13 mini when it’s released this year, as the 11 is to big for pockets. The problem is I shoot my TH-cam videos on the iPhone 11, I’m wondering if the smaller phone will be a little to fiddly to operate
Thank you for not reading the brochure! Bravo!
Just upgraded from the iPhone X to the 128GB Mini through Verizon. With my trade-in it cost me a whopping $109! Sooo worth it.....finally have the small form factor I loved with the iPhone 6!
I love the portability that the iPhone 12 Mini offers!
I have the 8t and a black mini 128gb. Love them both but I keep coming back full time to the iPhone even after 10 years with android, all my brothers and wife have an iPhone, and all my co workers and best friend, so, yea, I guess it's iPhone for life (with an android on the side)
Haha you are exactly like me. Hard to leave iMessage.
Awww. What a really cool review. Hadn’t seen the green one, so that’s interesting too.
If this is the case I do recommend you upgrade ! I think you will really enjoy it. Make sure to get 128GB or higher.
@@ultiprice I recently upgraded to a 128gb white iphone mini and.. best decision ever!
Appreciate the detailed explanation.
Just bought the purple mini today. I really love it
I got the mint today! Cheers! Curious as to whether you chose a case with it. White cases are so tough to find! I went with the Rhinoshield solidsuit white case with mint buttons :).
Do you like it? Im going to buy one right now!
@@motoworlddd I just ordered the white with mint buttons yesterday from Rhinoshield website. It could take 5-10 days for it to arrive here. The only other alternative was the Moshi case but I don't like the off-white beige-ish sides.
@@financewithrishabh8568 Other than that is it good?
@@financewithrishabh8568 My case is Rhinoshield too.
My love mini the best mini 😍❤️
Getting this tommorow my 1st iPhone
I've only ever had android
Not concerned about the battery or storage I don't use my phone much plus my LG stylo 4 has only 30gb of storage and all my stuff fits cause I don't overload my phone
I have a black 12 mini and a 8 Plus. I switch back and forth depending which form factor I want lol
I do that with a 12 mini and a xr
Good review 😎
I cant wait to get my ipad mini and iphone 13 mini 👌🏼
I have the 128gig model of this phone. Like the reviewer said if I had the 64 gig I probably wouldn’t enjoy my experience as much. I’d order it from the Apple store or order from your cell phone provider, and wait for it instead of settling for the 64 gig. 👌
The North American option does support dual sim physical and e
Thanks for your support !
Thanks. It was a great review. I thought it could be shorter to about 13 minutes or so.
Congratulations!
I don’t know if it’s just me but 64 gbs is enough, on my old android phone I had before I switched to apple it only had 25 gbs and I was fine
Yes il b buying it pretty soon, I love compact fones vs bigger ones
I have an 11 and planning to get the 12 mini. Is the difference in battery life big?
I just got the regular 12, I’m still using my note 10 plus, so I should’ve got the mini for sure
I'm on iPhone 11 and I think I'm going to get the iPhone 13 mini (as I heard it could be the last one)? 😭
Love your video!
hello I currently have a note 20 ultra as my main phone, in fact I have 2, one personal and one from the office, which is very tiring and annoying.
I'm going from the SE 2020 to the new purple mini. I love the size. 👍😊
You got money money
The screen on this phone dims? I have the regular 12 and it hasn’t dimmed on me once unlike my old X
iPhone mini my love 😍 the best mini
Have anyone tested whether the iPhone 12 mini personal hotspot is broadcasted in 5ghz ?
I was gone get the mini but i went with the pro maxx I’m glad i did
I use my surface duo and iPhone mini 12, good combo
How's the ram management? Been seeing issues with it vs iphone 12
Going to my local apple store tomorrow to pick one up for myself

I have dual physical sim iPhone. From HK, is the mini dont have a dual physical variant?
Yes i believe it is too small for dual physical sim unfortunately.
