Good first out of the box look at the knife. I'm a bit worried about that sticky handle. Did the stickiness on the handle go away, if so what did you do? Interesting knife, I'm probably going to buy a black one when they become available here in Europe (Sweden).
Mine was almost dull ,the edge had a slight rise about half way down the blade and definitely didn't have 90 degree spine. I ground the spine flat and put a good edge on it, I think it's serviceable now.
Sometimes the QC may not seem up to par, but for the price, at least I know what to expect. I have many Condor knives and if I don't have to strop it out the box, that is considered a bonus. I will always anticipate some honing of the blades or maybe some sanding. It is what getting and making a Condor knife your own is about, at least for me. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Just got mine and its in very poor shape the scandi grind is shallow on one side so the knife point is asymmetrical and the 'scandi' grind has a secondary bevel?
I have the Terrasaur and stainless Garberg. For most outings I take the Terrasaur. To me it is more of a rugged beater. In adverse or wet conditions, I bring the Garberg, instead Both are excellent working knives. If the fit & finish of the Condor and blade sharpness out of the box was on on par with the Garberg and they were the same price, I would still buy the Condor over the Mora. I must say the Mora leather sheath is nice and I would pay the extra money to have that. As for a rugged beater knife, you cannot beat the value of the Terrasaur. In my opinion, the Garberg is at least $25 over priced. I like the handle contour of the Terrasaur better. The Fit and Finish on the Garberg is top knotch. The Terrasaur is a little lighter, not tha that matters to me. As you pointed out, I do not like the thumb release point on the Terrasaur sheath. I find it annoying. By the way, I don't have too many other Condors, but the Terrasaur fits nicely for me in the Kephart sheath, although even with the thumb thing, I carry it in the plastic sheath. In the future, I would love to see a Micarta-handled Terrasaur and the option for a leather and/or stainless version of the Terrasaur. I love the Mora, but given the choice, I would have chosen a couple of Terrasaurs over the Mora for the same price. I do like the slightly heavier Bushlore very much as well and I hope Condor comes out with a 1095 version with Micarta scales. I would also like to see some more Terrasaur colors. I like the released all orange adn would like to see a ice blue, cinnamon color, and in particular, a deeper forest color blade handle and/or the Green Micarta.
Much prefer the condor!!! The handle and blade design seal the deal. Not knocking the mora, it is nice but I think mora should have improved on the bushcraft/bushcraft black as it’s near perfection.
The price is the big deal, I've owned two Garbergs cause I sold my first one and was regretful...😂 I love the Garberg but the blade shape is something that bugs me. The Garberg belly to tip is very annoying for fine detailed wood crafting and also is a bit annoying to sharpen. I've been sharpening by hand for years and its a natural process and for me I think the blade shape of the Tarasaur is one of the best for true bush crafting tasks. The Garberg was designed more as a survival bushcrafting tool like the Tops Bob which it is excellent for the task. This new Condor IMHO is a lot like Joe Flowers Tops Brakimo but with a smaller grind edge ......This is the poor mans Brakimo which I've wanted for a long time, I still want one but the Condor is a good pacifier😂 Thanks for sharing and great collection, I got rid of my knife collection and kick myself for it.
Good points on the Garberg and comparison. I have the Brakimo, but do not use it, not sure why, maybe the handle is too thin, like many TOPS knives. Thanks for watching and commenting.
That is a tough question which really comes down to personal preference. I am very fond of the Bushlore as I have a few but the Garberg is a great quality knife. And to be honest, I don't recall having to sharpen a Mora out of the box but have done so for several Condors. Wait for the price to drop on the Garberg (under $70) and get one. Thanks.
I like the look of it! Very happy about the 1095!
Yes, glad they are using 1095 more. Thanks for watching.
I got mine a couple days ago and gave it a good stripping it’s now a fantastically sharp carver
You have a very nice collection of Condor knives. I do like the thicker blade stock on this. Thanks for the video.
I do like Condor knives. I have many, lost count after 25 : ). With more on the way, Cavelore and Plan A. Thanks for stopping by and the sub.

I think it was a coating from shipping. I'll check tonight and clean it up and let you know, I think it'll go away. Thanks for watching.
No stickiness on the handle. Just had to wipe it down with a dry rag.
Great, thanks!
Bonjour So which one is the best ?
Good question. I love my Garberg but this one is very close.
Awesome man. Please hit us up with a field test with this knife next. Thanks for the video my Bladed Brother ⚔️
I will try but life is busy these days. Thanks for stopping by.
I got one for my son-in-law for Christmas I thought it would be good for wood prep to start a fire
It will work great. Thanks for watching.
44 dollars is half of what the Garberg costs. there is a varnish on the ground edge on mine,
No issues with mine other than needing stropped. Thanks

Nice blade , sheath will be replaced for sure...good to see ya my friend
Yes the sheath is like a basic mora plastic sheath. It gets the job done but doesn't impress. Thanks Mark, nice to hear from you friend.

I like both the Garberg and Terrasaur. Both great and the Terrasaur is a great deal. Thanks for the comment.

Can't go wrong with the Terrasaur. I do like my Bushcraft Black as I started out with that one. Thanks
Very to the nice sir! The 👍👍
Thanks Chad.
That's a nice knife. Condor could do better in sending the knife razor sharp.
I agree. Thanks Nathan
how dull was it? in 10 minutes i sharp an unsharpened D2 blade 😂
Easily stropped to razor sharp as shown in the video. Thank you

The backward facing camera angle is making me dizzy.
What are you talking about? Nothing is backwards. It's straight on view as I see it.
@@sameold77 It just looks like the camera is tilted a little back toward your hands from above. If it isnt, dont worry about it.
The edge will outlast the garburge
