    This 50cm Mini Mono ticks all the boxes: It's fast, cheap, and easy to build yourself!
    We're oval running the boat, and I share my setup of this hull in the 2nd part of the video.

    That’s is a huge surprise I thought the weight would make quite a difference.

      Yeah, I honestly expected a bit more, too! I think there's more in it with another prop. This 936 prop drive draws too much current. I will test other props soon!

      I'm glad I could help you forward! 4S is going to be ballistic with the Rocket 2948 3450kV 😅. I will try that with the carbon Mini Mono.
      With this wooden one, I got 84km/h on 4S with a 2600kV motor.
      Next video, I will try a 38mm prop on this one ✌️

      @CozyRC  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      oh, too bad about your esc! First, make sure your boat runs good on 3S, with low temperatures. Then, maybe try 4S, but as I said before, that is a very hot setup!

    Hi Jan… again, very nice video. However i have a question.
    Is there any disadvantage in moving the rudder a little more towards the center of the stern without obviously interfering with the rotation of the propeller? This is because the propeller will generate a conical flow of air. But if there is such a possibility... is there any disadvantage in terms of performance? At least it will turn better to the left, right?
    Tks

    • @CozyRC
      @CozyRC  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's a good question! The prop rotation and motor rotating mass, already result in a torque on the boat, steering it in a certain direction.
      Most times, mono hulls have a rudder on the right. But there are mono's with a rudder behind the prop as well. My Psychocat catamaran also uses a rudder behind the prop. I notice that boat does have more torque steer than my boats with a right-posotioned rudder.
      I guess the most efficient way, is not to disturb the prop thrust cone with a rudder. If you prefer left- and right steering ability, a center rudder is a good option.

    So your running a 36mm prop
    Is it standard or de-tongued ?
    Is it 1.4 pitch

    • @CozyRC
      @CozyRC  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Correct, this is a TFL 36mm 2-blade prop with 1.4 pitch. It's not detounged, but it is sharpened and balanced.
      I'm also running a CNC aluminium 36mm 1.9 pitch prop. I did detounge that prop. The setup runs a bit hotter with that prop, but the boat is faster too. I hope you figure out your setup! Cheers ✌️

    Good day, Jan! I hope you are doing great.
    I got a question for you. No, actually,i need suggestion from a Veteran,my Step down mono has a 4050Kv , willing to run it with 3-4s , which propeller should i take? I'm going for 70-75Km/H i guess.
    And, 4050 kv 4s a bit much? Should i stick with 3s?

    • @CozyRC
      @CozyRC  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Sakibian, I'm fine, thanks! I hope you are doing well, too.
      Regarding your question: 4050kV on 3S is already a hot setup. On 4S is a very hot setup, and I wouldn't recommend that.
      70-75km/h must be easily possible with that motor on 3S. For the prop recommendation, I need to know 2 things: how long is your boat hull, and what size of motor are you using? ✌️ DJ

    • @sakibian01
      @sakibian01 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@CozyRC The Hull is 648mm long , using a 2860 inrunner motor.

    • @CozyRC
      @CozyRC  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would start with a 34-36mm 1.4 pitch prop. It's a high rpm setup, so better try a smaller prop first! 70+ km/h must be easily possible.

      @@CozyRC Noted!
      Already using a 36mm plastic propeller(on maiden trial,using 2 cell) Going to get into a Tenshock 36/37mm CNC pretty soon. But i also have a 40mm Tenshock CNC, that's why i was confused.
