Hi Cozy RC!I found yout today!Ialso model airplane and ship models!I don't have any projects for the winter so I found this video just in time!I will finish it in the winter, and it will be swimming in the spring!Hello béla!
Yes trial and error for the weight versus rise is worth wasting some product and an area for it to expand out of a big opening is important. If you can do it with the deck on it is stronger because the foam sticks to both the hull and deck but even if it’s done to the deck and sanded then the hull and sanded and the 2 pieces have a gap between them when joined it’s still way strong, doing it this way allows the foam to completely go all the way around the deck including the sides. It can be carved once dry as well.
Thanks, me neither! We will start with a mild setup, for my sons. I'm considering to put a crazy setup in this one lateron, to beat the Recoil 18 performance 😄
@@CozyRC Speaking of speed tests. I got myself a speed tracker like your. Neet thing (tested it with my RC buggy). On the T-800 front... I just got a freelance contract. I used wood glue, because it allows you to slide- and tape the pieces in place, before it cures. Then, I sealed it with epoxy resin, to make the hull water tight.
Hey dj, what props do you recommend for the full size wild thing The mini wild thing The hydromite Do i also need to work the propellors before use so yes how? Do you have a tutorial. Could you leave some links not to expensive if possible maybe aliexpress Kind regards mylan
This is a very fun project that you did, and I appreciate that you are sharing it! I’ve been looking for something to do this summer now that I’m taking a break from school. I myself am an RC enthusiast, and I’m slowly getting into RC boats. Quick question: How did you print the build plans so big on paper? Did you go somewhere to print it on a specific size?
Thanks, good to hear you like it 👍. The plan should be printed on A1 paper size. You can go to a print shop, or print it on multiple smaller paper sizes and glue them together. Some PDF readers have that option. This is a fun boat to build, and not too expensive. It would be a great summer project (just as I build it right now).
This is great! I am almost finished making a boat hull with a similar profile to this and look forward to see how you complete the rest of the build since I am a beginner at it making it up as I go and can learn from you.
@@CozyRC Yeah, I built my hull in a similar way to you with ply sheets, but I started with a deck to define the shape and then cut access holes in the deck. I didn't use CAD software. And I was painting the internal wood to waterproof it. Maybe I will add polystyrene into the cavities to add buoyancy in case of accidents? Anyway, look forward to your updates.
Hi James, Thanks for the tip. I heard some good results, especially regarding hull strength. But I also heard from a Dutch RC boaters, who destroyed his hull with it. He already pit the deck on, so that might be the cause. I will consider it for sure!
I personally would be careful with foam. Maybe get some extra info about it. Especially if it is totally water resistant and or doesn't suck up moisture. It is off course strengthening and floatation at same time. If you use it, maybe consider to ducttape (or something else) the hull during the expansion off the foam because its very strong...

Hi Belas, that sounds good! This is a very nice hull to build and run. Enjoy!

Another Cozy build! Looks very cool 😃👍
Thanks Woods! Great to see some of your boats on the water again, too 😎

What adhesive did you use to attach the bottom and sides to the frame ?

Yaay, build going good! Looking for the speed run already. Sorry, i know it's too soon 😬
Thanks! Yes, looking forward to see this little boat scream across the water!
nice laser cut pieces ;-)
Laser cut by jig saw 😅👍

Hi Mylan, please send me an email at cozyrc1@gmail.com. the props also depend on your motor, esc and how many lipo cells your run your boat on. 👍

Very nice!! Thanks for your videos👍👍👍
Where can we find the plans for this boat?
Thank you Ruben! I will modify the plans a bit, for an easier build. I will share them in about 2 weeks from now. 👍
@@CozyRC I have plans for (V hull) it looks like yours but little bit different. I will be happy to have your plans to. I am appreciate to your job.
Hiii Brother, which material you have used for making
Hi Rajesh, I recommend 2-3mm plywood for the bulkheads / frames, and 1mm birch plywood for the plating. ✌️
Thank you Brother
Do you have rc boat plans?
I will work on the plans, and share them in 2 weeks from now ✌️
beautiful.
@@TimCully Thank you, Tim!
Where can i get the plans from ?
I will release the plan within 2 weeks. I need to make some small improvements.
What is the pdf paper size?
@@UsedRoboticShopKhulnaURSkhulna The paper size is A1!
Great job😊
Nice project 👌 ❤
Thank you, I appreciate your comment!
diamond files on wood? i've got the same set.
@justinbevier8231 Yes, perfect for making sharp edges!
Cool little boat DJ. Looks like my little radio flyier.
Thanks! Yes, you are in the same process, so you know all about this, now 😎

Some very nice building techniques there. I learned alot. Thank you. I am considering building this design with my son.
I can highly recommend this boat as a father and son project! It's one of my most fun and best running boats to date! My sons enjoy it as well 😎👍
Awesome 🙌
Thanks Brenton, good luck with your build! We will be in contact ✌️

@AWBuilder I recommend to add flotation material indeed!
that was great thank you
@Trademan_24-7 Glad you liked it!
I want 80 km\h too...😜I am wondering if a high KV low voltage setup is better for this mini boats.
I think it is, for the esc and for the space of the lipo. Like a 4000kV range on 3S sounds good to me 😎
Yes... I was even thinking about a 4800 kv 2s setup
@@kaprc631I think it works great, but still too low rpm for 80km/h on a small hull with small prop!
If you fill all the left over unused space in it with 2 part polyurethane expanding foam it will be virtually indestructible.
