- As many of you know, 2018 didn’t have the best start for me but I’ve come round and decided that I don’t want to hide in this little stigma bubble and pretend that everything is okay.
My mission here isn’t to gain sympathy or to seek attention, it’s to raise awareness and make people realise that more people than you know are living with this virus, but there are things we can all do to put an end to the social stigma that surrounds it and the virus itself.
I’m lucky that I found it early and that I have friends and family and an incredible medical team around me who have supported me from day one, but others aren’t as lucky.

George, be strong. Your life is just starting. HIV positive people sometimes live longer than HIV negative, when they are on treatment. Just live your life and don't let the virus ruin it.

I was 19 too. It was the hardest, loneliest thing I've ever been through. Now I'm in my 30s. My health is ok, its just hell on dating! Get locked in with a support group of other poz ppl. so then at least u won't feel like you're the only one because I did and still do feel like that sometimes. Best wishes from America!

I'm so very sorry to hear about your plight. You are a young man, just starting out in life, and have many decades ahead. Stay strong and patient: there will be a cure available within your lifetime, and you'll be HIV negative once again!
I heard by 2030 the cure should be ready for the world a scientist confirmed.

You are so brave man....i cant deny i am also positive i was diagnose in aids few months ago......i was started taking medicine just october 2017 my cd4 counts drops 15 and now it goes 156 already and im hoping that it will go back to normal soon...at first i didnt know i am positive i had diagnose in tubercolosis few months before i found out that im positive....some people dont realy know what is hiv and aids and how it affects in human body which at first i am not aware from it also...i didnt think that i would have it but im wrong....now im living with it and i have to deal with it as you do...thank you for sharing your video

I was diagnos with tb i think its natural because i smoke but after doing some research i found out that tb might be one of the symtoms i have swollen lymph glands im already taking medication for tb but im not really sure if i have hiv i dont know if im just paranoid or i really have hiv
Baby Smoke u better test ur self in hiv...tb is a common symptoms of hiv dude....hopefully its not but u must have to be sure...

I was diagnosed in 2015 at the age of 30. I started antiretroviral medication with in one month. For the next two years I was undetectable. Suddenly I couldn’t walk any more the pain in my hips was excruciating. So I went to have an MRI and I was diagnosed with necrosis of the hips. So I had to have both hips replaced at the age of 32.
So now I’m 34 and I’m still undetectable but because of my hip replacements I can’t do the sport I used to do.
I haven’t had a relationship since and I’ve been abstinent from sex since. I just can’t do it anymore I feel like I’m disgusting and infectious. It’s really hard to get back to normal. I don’t think I’ll ever be the same.

Hey george i understand what your saying my life changed 2014 when my grandson javier aka nikko got really sick he was in the hospital for so long not knowing what was wrong he was tested for almost everything untill one doctor came in and said have you tested him gor H.I.V they said no doctor said lets test him for that and they came back and said hes H.I.V positive wow like a ton of bricks fell on me my grandson was only 3years when we found out so sad and my daughter javier mom has it aswell they got it from the dad he didnt tell my daughter he had it i fell you george your truly a strong young man your so amazing god bless you thank you for posting this video

We may have not been friends but that didn't stop me from caring about your situation and I'm relieved that you're going to be OK. Neither of us exactly got along but I never hated you, I wanted you know that I've received the message and I wish for you to be your usual self no matter what. wishing you all the very best mister stay strong I would suggest once you get you head round your diagnosis speak to your local HIV charity to access counselling. I was a counsellor at an agency in Manchester and talking around your hopes and fears will definitely benefit you.
You will learn to live with it and have a full and healthy life. In your lifetime there will be a cure and future treatments from a once daily tablet to possibly once a week to a functional cure,. The people in your life that value you, love you, support are those who matter . If you face stigma from other people, kick it to the kerb, those people are of no value, importance or significance to you, dont waste a second of your gorgeousness on them. You will survive and be stronger , happier than you thought possible. Go out there and live your life!

I'm so proud of you, to live in your truth, to be honest, and live in your truth. But you will be amazed how many other people walk in their truth. This will help you live, and perhaps be an advocate or support system for someone else.
Im lying on my bed and wondering about my life over and over again. Right now i really want to offer you a tight embrace for your courage. I was diagnosed with hiv one and a half month ago. It was the 30th of August, 2018. I still feel so sad ab it cuz i cant tell anyone. Hope we can be friends, i really need someone to share this with.

How much is medicine
Fortunately medicines for this are easier to take than high blood pressure medicines. In the 80s this was a death sentence, just like polio was in the early 20th century. Its easily treated now. You are very strong posting this. God bless you.
While I don't have the disease it's always good to see these stories and have an understanding of how the disease does and does not affect ppl, how to be mindful of my words and to be respectful and to be safe at all times sexually. Let me also say you are very attractive and sweet. I hope you just push thru and live life to its fullest.

Thank you for sharing your story. Life is unfair and throws the worst things at you sometimes but you will get through this, it will take time. You will come out the other end such a strong person even if it doesn’t feel like it now, I can promise you that. Did you get tested? Never sleep with people unprotected and preferably don’t do random hookups at all
although I know its not that easy to digest but honestly on medical perspective its like a chronic disease like diabetes or high blood pressure
People like u need to stop spreading this lie. Diabetes and high blood pressure are nothing like HIV and not contagious and are not STD's so stop comparing them to a contagious disease.
There is a term called medical perspective 😒 everyone knows hiv is contagious and hypertension and diabetes are not 😒
From a medical perspective they are nowhere near similar. Im pretty sure if you HAD to choose between the 3 you would rather have hypertension or diabetes over HIV.

Do you check yourself regularly, or was there specific symptoms that arose that made you take the step towards testing yourself?
I always check myself regularly, nothing happened in which prompted me to go for a test, although looking back now things did happen which, now with the knowledge I have, would have prompted me to take the appropriate steps.

Can i ask what the first few weeks were like in regard to symptoms. I know its different for everyone but i just cant find a single video or forum post of someone explaining the first few weeks.

Actually i was diagnosed last may 2018 but as of now im may not be able to take my medicine because im a working student its so hard for me to think positively i wish i have that lucky as you are
