There are two sure ways to lose control of any situation... release a herd of wild angry buffalo into the room, or invite Robin Williams. It's so sad we're left with only one today. It is such a shame that someone loved by so many suffered so badly.
What’s sad is that there are a lot of funny people... no one lets anyone shine these days and the ones we want to see are shunned or hidden away while we are sold the worst of the bunch.
"I used to think that the worst thing in life was to end up all alone. It's not. The worst thing in life is ending up with people who make you feel all alone.” - Robin Williams
He had a serious illness that caused more intense depression, pain, insomnia, delusion, memory loss, etc so NO. HE DID NOT RATIONALLY DECIDED TO LEAVE. His illness killed him
***** Come on man, don't be an arse about it. If you're an atheist, that's fine but I grew up watching Robin's movies as a kid and the roles I remember him the most was as the Genie and Batty. People do still miss him and I get some folks didn't like him, that's fair enough, you're entitled to your own opinions but have the decency to respect those that actually miss him rather then going around and saying spiteful things just because you didn't like him. Be better then that.
***** In that case, maybe he'll wonder the earth, keep an eye on his family, chill out with his ancestors, be able to sneak into the cinemas :) There's endless possibilities Bud. Also sorry for my harsh reply, I thought you were being a troll ^^; My bad.
I remember I was up all night doing coursework and I had BBC News on so I heard some background noise. Then out of nowhere this story about Robin Williams jumping up on stage to kill time at a conference while they had technical issues. It was a nice break from studying and I loved listening to it again and again when they replayed it every hour
He seemed like such a happy guy and he was so noticeably loved by everyone. It amazes me that the man suffered from depression and alcoholism enough for him to off himself.
DarthBlam He found out he would not last long functioning as he was, so therefore he made his choice. To me this is an inspiration as I deal with the same and a terrible disease. I try not to tell anyone and keep it to myself as not to burden anyone else but when you speak of alcoholism you should really know what you are talking about and not the media reports, Robin had been sober for decades except for one small relapse. The fame, expectations or obligations he had and the diseases is more than I bet either of us would be able to deal with considering all the constant attention he had. I also know people who worked with him and many in Marin County who just knew him as a beautiful man and he was just their neighbour, really a great guy who treated everyone the same. Just because the media tells you info do not call him an alcoholic or a drug addict, not true in his later years and he was very upfront to the media about it to(moreso than any other celebrity), that is just not fair, his choice was his choice alone. No one in the world has EVER made us feel like he was just talking to us alone and was our own friend on this level, that is special and so rare. The world still cries but thankfully we have the laughs, he just ended what would become a $hit-show and he did not want that. I thank Robin for that and respect his choice. Peace and Praises
+l8on99 wow, eloquent comment, higher thinking, tolerant insight, peaceful & respectful admonishment. As a lifelong & passionate fan of RW, I genuinely thank you for this comment, & though I don't know you, it truly pains me to know that such a seemingly 'good', well rounded individual who is clearly EVOLVED is suffering. It's comments like these that take away an overwhelming bitterness & weariness at the exponential explosion of selfishness, stupidity, & growing absence of the most basic common sense & human kindness, a species thats embracing mediocrity & shrouding free thinkers & silencing those that are crying out: "Wait a minute! This isn't right! What the hell is going on here? Stop the hypocrisy, were all in this together, how dare you ignore my equal right to have joy & peace & a comfortable living & wonderful environment to live in!" Sorry for the rant, but people like yourself renew a 'drowning in the candlewax' spark of a reason to continue through the darkness. Thank you for being what, sight unseen, sounds & acts like a truly GOOD human friend (even though i must surely be coming across as total whackjob by now) 😬😎

Robin was a comedic genius. To be able to improvise humor so well speaks volume to his natural ability to make people laugh. And whilst he made millions laugh, he struggled with depression. So sad a man such as Robin couldn't find the happiness he gave to so many others. RIP
What an energy What a talent and yet What a dark secret this man holding in himself I truly felt his pain He wanted to help everybody and nobody could help him.So sad
+Leslie Eldridge It's like the story of a clown that i heard. The clown was feeling sad and he went to the doctor... after a while speaking to the doctor, the doctor said to the clown "i now something that can help you laugh, go to the circus in town, i heard that there's a famous clown who always make people feel happy". The clown sadly rises his head and looks to the doctor and says: "I am that clown!"
It is so tragic that someone who could bring joy with such ease couldn't find it for himself. The world is a darker place without him. Gonna miss you Mork.
Robin was the absolute MASTER of IMPROVE. He was a comic GENIUS and there will NEVER be another like him.It was a sad day, the day he passed away. r.i.p. Robin (The world's a darker place, now that you have gone)

god open your heavenly gates to a man that dedicated his whole life to make people laugh it cost him his life ....and he gave it all to us ...please forgive him
Forgive him? that's insulting and judgmental, and in the context of your comment also highly hipocritical. It's hard to tell if you're a clever and evil person who hated him or if you meant well but you're just plain stupid
I have bittersweet emotions. It still happens (2019) when I see Robin Williams on the screen that I get my eyes full of tears. I'm pleased to see him but at the same moment, I feel bitterly grief. We lost one of Gods greatest Masterpiece (too early)!
Robin Williams shares stage with Sergey Brin, unintentionally #robinwilliams comes to the rescue during a taping of a TED BBC show. Apparently there was a problem during taping and he decided to keep everyone entertained while the organizers sorted out the problem. What a guy! #robinwilliamswillliveonforever
A lot of the audience looked rather confused or unamused. Maybe Robin Williams was just too quick for them. The world was a better place with him in it.
Such great love from this great man. He created such great peace in the world through laughter. An iconoclast all the way, his light still touches us and gives us a bit of brightness in this humdrum trot that is our human race.
Thank you for posting that video. I m European and french speaking but Robin is THE ultimate comedian, so far out there that he must really be coming from another planet. I m a big fan of him. I wish he would make more movies so we would see more promotional interviews. For sure all would be turning into hilarious improv stand ups. Robin rules
Robin Williams is just a icon in comedy, the man has got it all. Hope he lives forever so he can share and bless us all with his joy and gift of amusing, entertaining and brightning our days. Gotta say it even if it seems corny, ROBIN YOU'RE THE MAN.
OMG I love Robin Williams and I am so grieved by his loss. It is great to be able to see him via TH-cam. But I also want to comment that while watching this the audience pictures sometimes are a riot. At about 2.05 in there is a shot of a cow (no it's a woman) looking bored and chewing the Heck out of a piece of chewing gum. I am like "Heifer, don't you know who that is? Are you a throwback in genetics?" LOL.
He's one of the best thing that happened to earth
He's THE best thing that happened to earth.
There, I fixed it for you.
It's amazing that given three minutes at the BBC he could excite a crowd that much. He died a legend.
He lived a legend too :)
He lives on as a legend.
There'll never be another like him...
Nobody could improv like this guy.
One of the greatest performers of all time.
He's just randomly spitting stuff out totally on the fly. No one could do that like Robin. We'll never see his like again.
He was absolutely the best, because comedy was his first language, and also his second.
Jim carrey
He was so quick too they way he talked and the jokes just don't stop idek how he talks that fast
I agree! :)
come back tomorrow, robin :(
aww
+gravecactus one hour :(

robin was tired.
so, he left.
creative people, truly creative people, get tired, and sometimes they leave.
be glad he was here for a while.
Finally someone understands)
yes i know the comment is 3 years old, but im reading it now :D
CGTV As am I.....
Nah his wife fucked him for milions of dollars in alimony. Check it out the amounts of money are from space.
He had a serious illness that caused more intense depression, pain, insomnia, delusion, memory loss, etc so NO.
HE DID NOT RATIONALLY DECIDED TO LEAVE.
His illness killed him
Agree completely robin was ready to leave...for whatever reason its OK
My whole life I wanted to meet Robin Williams and give him a hug....I guess everyone can do that in heaven when our time comes....

the man who didn't invent improv but he sure took it to a whole new level
The beautiful thing about Robin Williams is his comedy is pretty much 10% script and 90% improv. The man is a genius.
I love how he got away without saying yes at the end.
I wish you made it up there.
