  • I been wanting to do this video for a very long time. Probably one of the most effective DIY projects I've ever done. This really did help me out in the long run. Very cheap Build and can go with you anywhere to launch in those sketchy areas to get on the best fishing ever! I hope this video was helpful to you guys. I know I missed a lot of details in the process of the build and I apologize for that. Feel free to comment any concerns or questions about the video! AND DON'T FORGET TO LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE!!

    Stainless bolts with washers on both sides and locknut vs the screws.
    Drill a hole in the front board and install a piece of chain with a hook with a clasp on the end. Bring a metal anchor of some sorts you can put in the ground you can hook that hook to that will avoid it moving while you are sliding the boat down. You can use this to pull it up back out of the water. Also could use the chain to lock it up while you are gone to avoid someone taking it.

    You might try changing those screws out for bolts with a lock nut. That could keep the screw from wiggling out over time. Great idea though, i might have to try it :)

    That’s awesome dude. I thought about keeping a piece of plywood in my truck to do the same thing but your idea is so much better, and it keeps your boat from sliding all over when you launch and retrieve.

    Great video, plan to do a version of this for our kayaks. The redfish catch was an extra bonus. Thank you!!!

    I had to laugh at "I don't need this but I'm gonna keep it anyway" -I'm the same way. Of course I never actually find a use for anything until just after I finally get rid of it.
    I held on to a pair of crutches for literally 16 years and 3 moves before donating them. 4 Months later my kid sprains an ankle

    What battery do you use for your trolling motor? And how many hours do you get out of it when you go out? Thank you

    • @PFDTV
      @PFDTV  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I use a deep cycle marine battery. And it can run just about all day on it. Putting the trolling motor on high speed does drain the battery though. So I try to avoid that if possible. 👍🎣

    What kind and size battery do you use for trolling motor,

      It’s a 12v deep cycle marine battery. It last all day! 🎣🎣

    How did you know how long the make each PVC pipe? I’m making this for my kayak with a pulley system. Do I measure how long my kayak is?

    • @PFDTV
      @PFDTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      I basically measured it from the start to the end of the bed of my truck with the tailgate flipped down. So what ever was left hanging over was what I cut off so it’s about 8ft or so. 👍

      I also made one for my kayak a while back. My kayak was 12 ft but I made the pvc pipe about 10ft and it worked out well

    Here's the problem with this video - how did you get into your boat once the boat was in the water? assuming you didn't try walking through the mud, how would you then get back onto the shore, again, without walking through mud? Not every kayak has a flat bottom - your design won't work with a "V" hull. What did you anchor your launch to? Go out into a swamp and try to find something to tie a launch to.

      It's a cool idea. But you're right. How did he get in the boat
