Was a blast hanging out! The Vibe inflatable kayak with AutoBoat GPS motor surprised me for performance. It was 19-31mph winds that day and AutoBoat held anchor lock position really tight. I thought for sure the light inflatable kayak would have gotten blown around. I was wrong. Love this lightweight fishing watercraft setup. Can actually easily carry the motor, battery, and inflatable kayak to the water….no cart needed.
Great setup! My autoboat came in today. Can't wait to get it rigged! Tight Lines!
Got my AutoBoat installed. If I can install it any one can. I had to bypass my Digital Motor. Have not had a chance to use it on water. I really like that you guys answer us if we send you a message. My boat is the Pond Prowler 10 ft.
Is there a good way to pull the motor up in shallow water or to inspect the prop from out on the water?

Did you have to use your rudder A lot? I have a Lure 13.5 without a rudder and I trying the motor in the pod but it was really hard to control in strong current.
Yeah you have to, but you can parallel the motor with the rudder to turn tighter
YakGadget doesnt have a pod mount for Old Town PDL. Hopefully they get one. I know I'd jump on it quick. The Autopilot is nearly 5k and only comes in the 120 and 136. Getting a "DIY Autopilot" 106 would be money.
If you bring it up to him, I’m sure he would make it. He’s got molds for everything.

Is there any way to face a specific direction while in anchor mode? Or does the kayak have to face the wind / current?
Generally, the wind dictates the way the boat is pointed while anchored

I need somebody to make a trolling motor bow mount for OTs and I can get this lol
For my Wilderness Ride and Vibe Yellowfin I just cut the front off Minn Kota mounts and used toggle bolts to attach them, bow and stern. I ordered the mounts off amazon so they are all the same across my kayaks. I can move motors to whatever kayak I want to use that day and bow for lakes or stern for creeks as needed.
