I got my 17 ATS in December 2021. Can’t even lie I was not excited for a 4 cyl coming from a V8 but this car surprises me all the time. I’m gonna finally order this intake and then work my way towards zzp stage 1.
I own a 2015 ATS coupe with a 6 speed manual here in Ontario Canada. I have put the intake, exhaust mods. There is a lot you can do with this beast. I call mine "Ruby" because of the colour.
YES! Otherwise you will end up with a P0171 lean code. I have the same car and same mod. TRUST me don't get this mod unless you plan on tuning the car very SOON. Thanks to California Smog i gotta take off my intake.....Now i'll be forced to leave it off cause i never got the tune which was a big mistake for alot of different reasons. I'll wait to get the ZZP downpipe before putting the cold air intake back on this way after the downpipe is installed i can just get the ZZP tune and my car will be a stage 1. :)
I just bought a 2015 ats a few months ago and it came with a zzp intake already from previous owner, he in fact did not get a tune and my check engine has always been on and car is running lean. Any suggestions for this? If I go back to factory air box will the code go away on its own? Looking for help here

You WILL end up with a check engine light and a P0171 sooner or later. You have to get a TUNE.

@@user-dz2dj7ej6q Check The Pcv hosing because there could be leaks causing the light to pop on. code will be P0171
Stay with the factory and pray those little plastic guides for the air next to the MAF are still there. Car will not run right without those!
