    That is really neat stuff. Great comparison. Following. Now I am trying to decide how serious I am about all this. 👍👍😎🇺🇸

      Thanks shift, yeah I don't think this tool is for everyone at that cost. If you really like to build cars and tinker it's a great tool to have but for most home racers it's probably not needed.

    NOW we can hear 'em! Can't believe we couldn't hear that during our Discord chat Monday night, wow!!

    I find it was worth the cost, useful performance tool

      If you are a club racer or really like to tinker and build cars yes it is a great tool, I know I will get good use out of it, still not worth 200!

    • @warstarbs
      @warstarbs ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah it's pricey, rc car dynos can be $500, ha so I'm not complaining

    Good job! I would suggest just turning off the power when removing a high power chassis running at speed. Surprised the unit doesn't have that built in. Probably deemed unnecessary since most power sources have an on/off switch, or at least should have one. Wouldn't have guessed these cost that much but if it's built to last it may be "reasonable".

      Thanks Jeff, yeah I have had a few jump off on me, definitely a good suggestion turning off the supply first on the high powered cars.

    Not a cheap piece of gear but seeing the performance really helps you know your dialed in.

    • @marksslotcargarage
      @marksslotcargarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, it is a good tool but at 200 was a bit steep. $150 would be more reasonable.

    MSCG..nice tool to have,I like the fact that when running the car you can hear how bad the car is when it comes to vibration, I think it's the #1 killer on performance 😎

    • @marksslotcargarage
      @marksslotcargarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, and yes I also like being able to hear and see how the chassis sounds and vibrates, very helpful information to have when tuning your cars.

    Glad you are happy with it but I gotta say I'm not sold on the dyno. I think my ears and the lap timer tell me what I really need to know.
    What's the most I'd pay? 100? Maybe 120. But then I'm kind of a cheapskate anyway.

    • @marksslotcargarage
      @marksslotcargarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am with ya, paying 200 was hard to swallow, I am not cheap but I don't like over paying. Agree with you on the price as well.

    Mark what is the dyno showing on the red screen? Voltage? Thanks! George subscribed

      No that's the speed the tires are turning. It's not really RPMs but the higher the number the faster the car. If I hit above 400 on the Dyno for a 6 ohm car that is a good number. Thanks

    Awesome Video and really looking forward to the SRT vs NC-2 matchup. If you could show the traction magnet comparison, that would be great to:) Thank you very much!
    Also, I think you mentioned getting a NC-2GT to? Guess that wouldn't be a fair comparison with the BDR SRT since the GT has a 3.5 ohm arm as compared to the 6 ohm SRT. Not sure which motor magnets they put in the GT either, maybe the 1700 Gauss ones? I believe the Stock NC-2 has 1150 gauss motor magnets.

    • @marksslotcargarage
      @marksslotcargarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I do plan on showing the down force readings on both cars. I may throw in the GT version of the NC-2 just for a comparison so you see what a little more money gets you. I will be doing that video tomorrow.

    Aside from seeing a speed readout, as a dynamometer, how do you load the car?

    • @marksslotcargarage
      @marksslotcargarage  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not sure what you mean by that? Running the car with the rear axle is all the load I really need to break in the car. I usually run it at the low voltage setting for 30 minutes without the rear end to break in the brushes then with the rear end to break in gears. Breaking in the brushes is what I am most concerned with.

    Am I seeing things? or did I see your mean green mag run as fast as your 3.5 ohm Tyco?

      I think you may be right! I will have to retest that.

    Been looking at these, but haven't pulled the trigger. They're just a bit pricey, as you said. ☹ Just want to enjoy the hobby. Without taking out a mortgage, or selling a kidney.

    • @marksslotcargarage

      Yeah it is too bad they are so over priced now. If you build and like to work on cars the Dyno is definitely a good tool to have though.

      @@marksslotcargarageI've been slowly adding to my set. Buying tools for my pit boxes & service parts for the cars. Also, new cars when I can. It just seems everything is so overpriced. Most of the stuff on E-bay is total garbage & sellers want ridiculous prices. ☹

      @@a.c.m.e.ink.4568 Yeah that is the sad state of the hobby today. I agree everything is over priced, especially on eBay.
