  • I walk you through my initial impressions/review of the ‪@TeamAssociatedRC‬ DR10M, fitted with a ‪@TekinRacing‬ RX8 Gen3 and a Fantom ICON 3.5 motor. We make some practice hits, crashes definitely occur, I set no personal bests. Should you make your first RC Drag car a Street Outlaw King or should you just buy that Drag Slash RTR? I can tell u with almost 100% certainty your steering trim issue is that eco power servo. I have one on my drag car and one on my Raptor and they both seem to have issues with that straight out of the box. I put one in the Raptor then almost immediately bought another for the drag build before really noticing the issue. I run a powerhobby lp250 in my speed run car and it stays dead straight every single time. It is a little more money at about 75 bucks but it's worth the extra 30 over the eco power in my opinion. Other than that, you got a solid setup for sure!!

      Interesting that that might be the issue. I don't have any issues with ecopowers in my crawlers they hold straight and true even after being hammered on through really tough rocks during comps

      @@NHO-RC hhmmm......interesting. maybe it's sumthing with my transmitter cuz that's the only thing in common between the two, other than having same servo

    Looks so sick man! I’m a begginer myself as well lol I have the stock dr10 but just bought the same tekin esc just deciding what motor combine it with.

    My Losi 22S came with a steering dual rate adjustment on the remote. I found turning it way down helped me be less twitchy on the steering and less likely to overcorrect if the car got a little squirrely.

      Yes I do have both the steering and throttle curves numbed way out on my T4PM which did help!

    One thing, that's a 13.5 body. Keep it for sitting still but get another body cut out the back end. Your carrying way to much air trying to be pretty

    Great lookin body, love Paul Walker logo & the “live my life 132’ at a time,😅.
    Can you check if your loosing traction down range? ( motor rpm vs speed)
    Recommend you find a local drag race club/group, most are super friendly & could help you better than us TH-camrs. Thx for sharing!

      The Proline reaction wides were not doing me any favors. I've gone back to the blue dots and it's helped a good bit. I don't have the tuning app yet for the rx8 so I can't easily check that yet. I did go to a local meet, haven't put the video together yet tho

    look into the throttle curve on the radio, then adjust the esc settings, that control of the throttle is key.

    • @NHO-RC
      @NHO-RC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I've curved the throttle down on my radio as much as I can. I just dropped a solid rear axle into it yesterday I'm hoping that will help a bunch. I've heard it should

      Get rid of those tires they make the car so much harder to drive! Get some reaction blue dots or sweeps vht crushers. Those reactions hp+ are horrible for traction that’s a big part of your problem.

    • @NHO-RC
      @NHO-RC  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@talkmobuccz so I do have some reaction blue dots and was having basically the same issue. I swapped my rear axle to a solid rear instead of a diff and am hoping that will help a lot. Haven't had a chance to try it yet though due to the constant rain here in NH lately!

    How did you solder the volt meter. Does it come from the esc wiring?

    • @NHO-RC
      @NHO-RC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So you can either solder it directly to the batt terminals on the esc, or attach a balance lead plug like I did.

    Adjust your wheelie bar. Your bringing your fronts way too high off the asphalt causing you to loss control. In no prep the wheelie bar is one of the most important “tuning” options.

    • @NHO-RC
      @NHO-RC  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah Ive lowered it some but I feel like im losing so much traction by hitting the wheelie bar early in the suspension travel.

    Brother do you want to Sell it ???

    • @NHO-RC
      @NHO-RC  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I was actually planning on it yeah. I don't have the time to commit to the tuning that drag requires
