Sooooo helpful thank you!! I’m interviewing for clinical psychology PhD in the States and this video definitely helped me feel more prepared. You’re awesome!
Thank you Dr Amina for the tips. I had an PhD Interview last week. I was so nervous felt like I was going to throw up. Good News I got in to the doctoral program so excited. They didnt ask me the questions tell me about your self but pretty much asked the questions in your You tube. They also asked about my methodology and why I have chosen it .
This is by far the best video on PhD interviews. I also think your video generalizes across all the concentrations and fields. Overall, this is well done video. Thank you!
My PhD interview is on next tuesday but I'm from México AND I postulated in italy. My first Challenge Is The language because i dont have experience practicing my english skills. I think that my english skills aré no well but I will try. This video Is helping me a lot !

Fantastic video! You are an excellent communicator and it’s clear you will be a brilliant lecturer/teacher. I have an interview coming up this Friday and you have both calmed my nerves and provided me with confidence in my ability. All the best.
A short funny story. I have learnt all your questions and I was prepared for the interview. However, the professor asked what topic I would like to work on and what will I do there. He ended up saying: "So please make a secondary research and write your expose, and after that we will discuss about it". I am still confused but hope it was a good sign. Thank you I guess ^^
This is a very helpful video. I have my interview in 11 days. I'm very nervous as I've never had one before. I really want this PhD I think I'm most nervous about the presentation 😅
I'm going to have my MPhil interview on Monday, Thank you, this video is very helpful. It's only 15minutes interview but really fluttering my heart :') but, Fighting for everyone who pursuing their dream
how did it go? I have an MPhil interview too on thursday. I was asked to make a 10 minute presentation about myself, my research experiences, and my future interest. I'm kind of confused what to do with my presentation. A lot of phd interview videos only focused on their research. How does an MPhil interview differ from those Phd interviews. Thanks so much for the insights.
Thank you so much for this video ! So many great tips, my interview is the day after tomorrow, and this really helps. Cheers ! (FYI, I'm French and i absolutely ADORE London haha)

Hello Amina, so I had my PhD interview today which was around 26 minutes and it included questions that were all technical and complicated. Only 2 of them were around what you said: What made you apply for our programme? What are the challenges you find...in don't remember what? My problem is the following: I have a VERY VERY weak memory. I practised for an entire week before the interview on things that I found on FindAPhD's website where you found your questions and I had all my answers written in a word document next to me. I ended up reading from it the entire interview, but haven't had answers prepared to ANY of the questions they asked in the middle - which most specifically targeted my Research Proposal and some random questions that I didn't even expect to be asked, such as "Give me an example of a project you did from the past?" or "How would you explain a technical problem to a non-technical person?". In other words, it seems to me like they will always have a unique set of questions made for you in every single interview and that I might never be prepared for interviews properly if they ask things that I don't expect or that I cannot find anywhere to prepare an answer. Is there anything you could advise me on for questions that I don't expect or that I don't know or remember an answer to? Because I consider my problem to be recalling memories from the past!
