I learned this trick first from totally Magic. Your explanation on the effect was also wonderful. Really appreciate the effort put into making this video
Brilliant impact MLT!! No setup. Self working.. mathematical too!! I tried with all variations of selecting the card 2 to 9 from bottom. It worked every time. (Understable . to reduce the number of piles to deal with one can restrict the spectator to choose a card between 1 to 5 from the bottom.) I thought of a minor variation in the trick. Request MLT to give his opinion. After making two halves and the spectator chooses one pile among the two. Now,.I would proceed the following way: 1) will ask the spectator to choose any number between 1 to 10. Let me assume spectator selects 5. 2) Now I will ask him whether he prefers to select a card ...fifth from top or bottom? If he says bottom...the trick proceeds as explained by MLT. If he says he prefers to select fifth card from top, allow him to select fifth card from top. Now magician says ...he will also select any card from top between 1 to 10 and while doing so ...he selects the 'bottom card'! Now place the magician pile on top of the spectator pile. Do a few false cuts and deal them into five piles. Combine the piles in any order and now instead of dealing the card face down...spell out your card and spread the deck and ask him whether his card is next to yours!! I feel this gives a choice to the.spectator not to restrict him to choose only from bottom.
I did the tutorial following every step, it happened that my card was the first on the top, so the spectator was dealing just one card, and the next one was his card, so beside the effect is looked like an ambitious card trick too, and it was just luck, INSANE
Every time you come up with an extraordinarily wonderful card trick!! They are just cool!!!! 👍🏻 And u are my biggest motivation... Also, you helped me a lot with your channel, I am just more amazing and cool compared to before and no doubt it is all because of you...😊 Thank you so much!! 😉
I'm missing something. Hopefully someone can explain it to me. When the mark places their half of the deck on top of your card (let's say their card is four above yours), isn't it possible that when they cut the deck, they cut it between your two cards? At that point, the cards would be too far apart from each other for the trick to work.
Yeah, that occurred to me as well. I would just skip that step. The fact that they deal out the stacks and then stack them in whatever order that they want feels like enough randomness to still impress the heck out of the spectator. I love this trick, aside from that one opportunity for it to fail. And the higher number that the spectator chooses, the more likely the cut will separate them cards.
@@rtesdahl I got a different solution for this issue: You give your pack to the spectator (or preferrably even another spectator) and let them split your pack somewhere in the middle. Tell them whenever you hold cards for some time, some magic sticks to them, but since the first spectator shuffled the deck, then went through their pack, their pack lost it now. So you gotta let's call it "sandwich" the spectators pack in between your pack so the magic can seep through and well.. do what magic does. All you gotta do is make sure to place the half with your remembered card UNDER and the other ON TOP of their pack.
This one is fantastic. And thank you for all your videos. You have helped me regain my love for card tricks! Please keep it up. I love impromptu tricks!
Really like this trick because they can shuffle prior to starting. To shorten the dealing time into piles I have the spectator cut off a portion of cards and then a second portion. Select either packet, shuffle, pick the number and count from the bottom. I shuffle, pick top card. This makes for less dealing into the 4 piles and decreases the boredom factor.
@@SPsMAGICS YO PRANAV! HOWS IT GOING! I'm so sorry I haven't been watching your vids. I have exams. But CONGRATULATIONS ON 1K SUBSCRIBERS!! HERES TO MANY MORE!
Yet another fab presentation and tutorial... one question... if the cut of approx half the deck, after their pile and yours unite, happens to be within the 6 or 5 card cards or players selection... wont that mess up the trick.. just a question.. sorry
Cool trick. I like it. I need to come up a good presentation for it. I'm not a by fan of dealing all the cards but since in different piles selected by their number its well disguised.
I'm your biggest fan you inspired me, you chris ramsay and bao you three and i don't think you are any low than david blaine or shin lim. And i can bet you know the most magic tricks i just got started with my magic channel after 3months of magic learning daily 4-6 hours and now i really wish we could collab someday... I'm already excited thinking collabing with one of my idol magician :)
Need to keep pattering during the dealing as it's dead time; and also to give motivation for the dealing. I think I'd say it's a way of mixing the cards in a way dependent on the number the spectator freely chose. Also, it doesn't need to be a full deck.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful trick my friend I certainly enjoyed it I will definitely use it take care of yourself and I will definitely catch you on your next video thumbs-up your friend Billy Simmons
Great trick as always MLT! I remember learning this from Totally Magic. I tried it out on my dad and he absolutely loved it! Thank you for another great video! #Roadto500K!
I can make this work if the spectator chooses a number between 3-6 so far, but not if they choose 1 or 2... Is there something I'm missing for these low numbers?
I noticed one person in these comments identify a potential failure condition for this trick. Unfortunately, they didn't give a solution. Here's my solution to avoid the failure condition. First off, this trick fails if, after the card selections, the spectator cuts the deck in between the magician's pick (top card) and the spectator's pick. This would separate the two cards on opposite sides of the deck. The trick fails at this point because when the piles are dealt out, the spectator's card will be at the top of one of the piles while the magician's card will be at the bottom, thus, separating the two cards. I fixed this by either allowing the magician to make an additional cut of the cards or simply direct the spectator to cut a second time, toward the middle of the deck, before dealing into piles. This would bring the two cards back together, if the spectator had cut between them when they cut the deck the first time after selection. If the spectator had not cut between the two cards, then the second cut (toward the middle of the deck) would likely not disrupt the selected card positions because those two cards (and the cards between them) will either be at the top or bottom of the deck after the first cut. The reason I suggest the magician do the second cut is just in case the spectator is a smart aleck and might cut the deck thin or thick, which could, again, divide the selection cards. On a side note, if the magician notices that the spectator's first cut after selection was high or low in the deck, then they can likely ignore this second cut. But if the spectator's cut seems like it had any chance to split the selection cards, especially if the spectator chose a high number like 8, 9 or 10, then doing a second cut is really mandatory insurance against failure of the trick.
I'm lovin ya no set up self workin card tricks 😊😊👍 They really help especially when I'm suffering & dealing with arthritis in my fingers on both hands...... see what I did there..... dealing 😉😉😂🤣😂
Guess what happened when I did for the first time? When I asked my sister to deal the cards faced up, my card was the first dealt. And hers was the next one :)
After the mark views his cards and sees his choice from the bottom, the dealer places the mark's pile on top of the dealer. f the mark cuts the cards in exactly the same place as the two piles were added to one another, the trick will fail.

wow!
idk if i did it wrong, but the trick did not work if the other person chose a number greater than 6.
There's a greater chance the mark cuts between the cards the higher the number. For the trick to work, the cut must not fall between the two cards.
What if my card ends up being the very last card shown I must’ve done it wrong. Lol.

If you cut in wrong place trick will not work. So make sure you dont cut in same plase where cut was made at start.

Doesn't work after I let them do the cut. Neat though
Why it didn't work for me 🥺 I didn't have jokers and I'm 52 cards
lol when i was doing it their card was behind my card
The simple tricks are more easier and quicker
The thing I don't understand is WHY they are together. I understand that they are together after doing these moves... But WHY...
After the mark views his cards and sees his choice from the bottom, the dealer places the mark's pile on top of the dealer. f the mark cuts the cards in exactly the same place as the two piles were added to one another, the trick will fail.
