  • Brockwood Park 1982 - Question #1 from Question & Answer Meeting #2
'Most of us are married or involved in a close relationship which began for all the wrong reasons you have so correctly described. Can such a marriage or relationship ever be made into a really positive force?'
This channel is managed by the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, UK, and by the Krishnamurti Foundation of America.
The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.'
We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.
Our videos contain thousands of subtitles in more than 25 languages, translated by volunteers from all over the world. If you would like to help us with translating subtitles, please contact us at digital@kfoundation.org

The sense of wanting to be with another is an unconscious fear of loneliness.

It's hard to grasp and practice this concept
Because in many relationships one party repeatedly exploits the other or hurts them deliberately. So if one is to practice K's philosophy, one would keep getting hurt again and again !
Also, K is someone who himself always stayed away from close relationships!
Maybe he knew after all how difficult it is to practice what one preaches!!

He says in the video that you may have to leave a person that exploits you, have you listened? His point is that intelligence will act if you love someone, independently of marriage, leaving or staying.

For this and any other extracts, you can look it up yourself by searching for the full talk using the information in the video description. In this case, simply search for 'Brockwood Park 1982 q&a 2' either directly on TH-cam or Google. If you learn this method you won't need to ask for the link again. Hope this helps.

I don't know where I can find more about something he mentioned and it's been going around my mind for a long time. What we do with you take responsibility on your part but the other part doesn't? It could be in your relationship with your partner, your family, with your neighboring country bombing at your house... Do we accept to be violated? It's not this pursuing of the other also violating ourselves physically but also psychologically? What do we do when are being bullied at work and so on... It's confusing for me because I haven't heard from here any response to that. He always mentioned to make a change in yourself and don't be violent. And also we pointed out when there is problem in relationships we just walk away and find another partner/job/friend and have to face the same violence, bullying... Does you as the foundation any video to recommend me?
