I'm sorry, but breakfast probably is the most important meal of the day.
That's why I'm just cooking up my breakfast now at 2pm, a 6-extra-large-egg omelette with salt and plenty of butter and a few slices of bacon on the side. 3 of the eggs had double yokes 💪🏽
    Thanks for the advice, Kelloggs

Low Carb Down Under is very cool as well. Great content with Dr Muecke, this is a great man, he is sucha straight talker, he doesnt sugar coat he is firm and that is what is needed. He is bringing great light to ee surgery like Dr Fred Hollows did but its his work with metabolic therapies with Diabetes that I am so interested in EVERYTHING he puts out now. The world is watching us now in a good way. In a very GOOD way!!! Andre

My kids didn't have sweets till they were 5, if l had my time again, no carton fruit juice either.

I feel fortunate that I found low carb and now carnivore though solving my adult life long IBS. However, I’m still the weirdo who eats fats with my protein and no processed foods. As A older Ausie male in my 70TSs I can recall "Australia rode off the sheep's back" wool was an worldwide in demand commodity & fatty lamb, hogget & mutton was mostly a very cheep by-product enjoyed by every Ausie. Lard. dripping was used for cooking everything, puddings tasted delish. only oils available were from chemist's, medical purposes in small bottles. Low carb diets A proven healthier diet. Having been blind since I was basically born, it's hard to imagine a world with sight for me. I might be able to detect some form of light but I'm not even sure if I can. I definitely don't see colour if I do see light. I have to be very close to it as well. I guess the only thing I could really compare it to would be going to bed with normal hearing and waking up with none. If that ever happened to me I would be afraid. Because then that would be two senses lost. Sometimes I find my blindness a blessing because people rely too much on site, to the point they may not even see if somethings gone bad, or if someone is lying. I can tell if somethings gone bad by either the smell or the feeling, and I can tell if someone's lying based on how they're speaking to me. I love that about myself.

My loss of 47 lbs in 6 months (obese XL size -> healthy S or M size) and improved health is living proof when I tell them. They call me disciplined (self-regulation is my achilles heel), and ‘they never could,’ but I was so desperate to deal with all the GI problems I was willing to try anything. (GERD & IBS-like symptoms got so bad I mistook a heartburn for a heart attack.) Indeed it’s a strong personal choice.

Not for everyone. For most of us some avocado, olives, a handful of berries are fine. I'm not going to argue because carnivore has a lot more in common with clean keto than it does with other terrible diets. We should be working together not at odds with each other over small differences.
Eat real food. Go carnivore if you like, keto, even vegan if that works for you but avoid processed carbohydrates, pro-inflammatory seed oils, sugars, flour and packaged foods of all kinds. Vegan doesn't work for me but there are people who do it and are very healthy. We are not all the same.
Practice intermittent fasting unless you are still growing or a pregnant woman. Breakfast is not the most important meal it is a meal most of us should be skipping.
I do intermittent fasting, I eat one main meal a day, grass-fed beef or wild caught salmon, pasture-raised eggs, not quite carnivore because I do eat avocado and some olives, a little bit of spinach occasionally, a handful of berries. I have not been convinced that this is bad. To the contrary, it seems to be healthy based on everything I've read. If someone has persuasive evidence to the contrary I am happy to read it.
Get reasonable exercise and great sleep. I'm still working on the sleep part!

One issue I have is the measurement of blood sugar, millimolar per littre. As science trained I understand mmol, but I have to calculate the grams per L. At 5 mmol/L that is 0.9 g/L of glucose in the blood, for the average person that is less than 5 g of sugar total in the blood. 2 teaspoons of sugar can potentially double the blood sugar. Using grams of glucose per litre rather than mmol per litre would give everone a clear indication of how little sugar should be eaten.

I was able to regain my eyesight after I lost a portion of it over a period of time. I'll explain how.
Ive been losing eyesight off and on for the past few years.
I noticed that reading fine print became very difficult and at times my vision was very hazy especially in the morning and at night but eventually it would go away and my sight would return to normal.
At the time that this all started, I was under a lot of stress, and not eating properly all the time. High stress can induce insulin resistance from the high cortisol that constantly strips protein from your muscles and turns it into glucose. The constant levels of glucose in the bloodstream is what triggers insulin resistance and leads to higher blood sugar levels and eventually nerve damage including optic nerve damage.
About 2 years after the eyesight damage started, I began taking a supplemental compound that helps heal injured tissue, ligament, tendon and yes, bone. The compound is a peptide that professional athletes and sports medicine surgeon have been giving their patients after surgery to rapidly improve healing and its called "body protective compound 157" or "BPC-157" for short.
I noticed that after taking a cycle of bpc-157, my eyesight would return to perfect clarity.
There was no longer any need to use reading glasses.
But then Id notice that overtime, my eyesight would flare up and then it would clear again. At the time, I made no connection to the bpc-157 and improved eyesight.
Looking back, I also realized that not only stress, but certain foods made my eyesight far worse and they were coffee products, chocolate, especially alkalized chocolate powder and dairy products. Oddly, consuming added sugar alone never triggered eye problems although, I would think that it should. I've been doing extensive food elimination diets and tracking the results for a few years.
When I avoid these food triggers in my diet, I dont experience vision degradation.
I believe that the bpc-157 is working because it removes damaged tissue and stimulates healing by increasing growth hormone sensitivity at the receptor of the tissue, allowing for rapid healing. After we stop growing in our late teens to early 20s, growth hormone becomes the bodys "repair hormone" which is why bpc-157 works so well to repair injured tissue, tendon, ligament, bone and also damaged nerves.
FYI, dont use bpc-157 directly in your eyes. From what Ive read, this can increase ocular pressure inside the eye which you don't want.
I dont know if bpc-157 can work for recovering from severe vision loss. Maybe it can improve the condition?
But it does work for recovering from minor vision loss in my experience.

You can prevent and reverse type two diabetes eating a ton of carbs. They just have to be whole food based carbs like steel cut oats, brown rice, potatoes and sweet potatoes.
You also have to eat a lot of fibrous vegetables and not go overboard with sweet fruits. Lastly, you have to eat leaner protein sources like chicken breast and salmon and consume very little fat so very limited amounts of avocado and nuts.
Eat this way, whilst maintaining am energy deficit, and you can be lean as you want and not feel hungry at all.
When I was low carb my LDL cholesterol was 238 and I was starving all the time.
Now, eating the way I describe above, my LDL is 77 and, because I eat over 6lbs of food a day, I am NEVER hungry.
My fasting blood glucose also went from 100 down to 85.

I don’t wanna be mean, but you’ve just said that you’re absolutely scared and then made 2 excuses as to why you’re not gonna do anything about.
If you’re dollar poor, you shouldn’t be wasting money on empty sugar foods they are not cheap.
Sugar is a cheap ingredient but the processed foods that you’re eating, sweets, pastries, cakes et cetera are not. I bet they add up to a lot of money in your budget and they don’t give you any nutrition.
Using the excuse of time doesn’t wash. In the 1970s when I grew up, everybody cooked from scratch, there were no automatic washing machines and both my parents had full-time jobs as well as doing everything around the house.
With modern conveniences, there is no real excuse, cooking from scratch can be almost as quick as putting something into a microwave.

One of the biggest wake up lines in the lecture is that it takes about 13 years to get a diabetic diagnosis.
In western societies, it is estimated that 80% of people are ostensibly undiagnosed diabetic.
When blood sugars start spilling backwards into the blood, as the doctor said, you have been diabetic, maybe even up to 20 to 30 years with all the damage occurring.
Anybody that’s a bit fat around the middle, is probably diabetic. And most western society adults aren’t just a bit fat they are grossly overweight.
If you measure your height in inches and measure your waist, without lying, around your bellybutton divide your height into your waist, if it is above 0.5 you’re diabetic, or at least you should assume that you are and deal with it.

This is why it's critically important to change the official Dietary Guideline of every country that foolishly followed the US in 1980. Those guidelines determine the foods in schools, hospitals, nursing homes, prisons and the military. Anywhere that gets government funding is obligated to follow the guidelines, and anywhere that isn't obligated is pressured to follow them. Parents especially need to challenge the state of insanity that forces their kids to drink low fat chocolate milk instead of whole milk. In some places in the US parents can't even send whole milk in their kids packed lunch. As parents you have some power if you join together.

Big Food does not care about your health, only their own profits. There is no Keto Board that gives an official stamp that a packaged food is "keto friendly". It is marketing and nothing more. Remember that. They will jump on any dietary movement that picks up steam. First low fat, then "no HFCS", then gluten free, now keto. But as the other poster said, none of it is real food. I'm personally happy to do my part to destroy their profits. They've lost thousands of dollars from me alone since going keto/carnivore 2 yrs ago. I have very fond memories of the Sesame Street song by fun puppets about breakfast. The low fat diet trashed my health by 2019, and very low carb fixed almost everything. I would have died without low carb or insulin injections etc. I chose a radically different diet instead of any meds or surgeries. To my shock, 3 days after going KETO, I didn't need help to get up onto my feet & walking, still very painful feet from 15 worsening years of Plantar fasciitis, but then at 3 weeks the pain COMPLETELY STOPPED!!! Unreal. It was starch/fruit/sugar causing all that pain!!! My podiatrist never mentioned the dangers of starch/fruit/sugar for foot health.
