PS5 Explanation: - DualShock 4 and aftermarket pads don't work for PS5 games because Sony wants people to experience DualSense features (haptic feedback and adaptive triggers). - Legacy Support on PS5: It's based off Developers to include legacy support for specific genres of PS5 games. Most PS5 fighters should support all officially licensed PS4 arcade sticks just like PS5 racing sims should support officially licensed PS4 steering wheels and flight sims with flight sticks/HOTAS. - Brook Wingman Converters: Brook's flagship converters that converts the market's most popular inputs, Dinput and Xinput. Almost all USB based peripherals use either signal. Wingman series has replaces their single compatible Super Converter series. - Brook Wingman, Fusion and UP5 addon all do the same thing, they emulate the PS4 legacy support feature meaning that you can only use these items for PS5 fighting games. - Razer Raion is the only known PS4 controller/pad that is recognized under the legacy support for some unknown reason. Great for padhacks (stripping down a controller to it's PCB) and pad players. I've been using my salvaged Fighting Edge (RAP4 PCB) since I got my PS5, I just got myself a new fight stick and replacing the RP2040 Pico Pi PCB with a padhacked DualSense PCB (my launch PS5 controller that has left analog drift and PS button doesn't work like 98% of the time).

Am I able to use one of these adapters on my Xbox. I have a hori mini for my pc and I have a lot of fighting games on my Xbox. Just wanted to know if it would bypass the incompatibility
Nothing has changed. It’s the same situation as before. Officially licensed PS4/PS5 controllers and arcade sticks work fine. That includes Victrix, Madcatz, Hori and Qanba sticks. However custom sticks and unlicensed 3rd party sticks like Etokki won’t work. There was also an issue using Brook PCBs as they weren’t officially licensed. To remedy this first Brook released an adapter that plugged directly into the PCB that added PS5 support and now they have PCBs that offer native PS5 support. So unfortunately this is nothing new.
Bullshit! So, why the hell not I can't use my Hori Fight Commander gamepad controller for Guilty Gear Strive PS5 version. And that controller is officially licensed by PlayStation.
If you are more tech savy, the same company makes a Universal Board for your arcade stick. If it plays games and has a USB, you can set your stick up to play on it. Its as simply as holding as button when you put it in to switch to the different profiles for consoles.

@@Pihneshe didn't lol! His source is "trust me bro" 😂😂😂
@@Neosin1 The source already exist, Brook's dongles have already been tested and have no input lag, it's not for nothing that they are used by a lot of professional players in tournaments, Luffy have win the EVO on street fighter with a Ps1 controller, how did he plug it i??? trust me bro 🤣 🤣🤣
@@Lolo.13 Thanks.
Will this work if I have PC hitbox which is not compatible even with PS4 (fightbox F1)?
I have the brooks X1 wingman for xbox, my Madcatz TE xbo 360 works like a champ on the xsx
Very interesting ! Perhaps you could compare this WINGMAN with a MAYFLASH MAGIC-S Ultimate ?
I have the ultimate and it does the same but doesn't have that compatiblity with many USB controllers but can't say the same for this one since it hasn't been fully tested
Tried playing shredders revenge on ps5 with the 8bitdo switch arcade controller and says top right this controller can’t be used 😢
Works on tekkan 8 tho. Any work around?
Just remoteplay, then connect any controller to your remoteplay device. I use Deck+Chiaki
good review....
but you didn't remove a doubt from me:
this controller i could use it to play (AL PC)
with quake\serious sam and similar?
I mean, I could move the character with the stick,
and at the same time manage viewfinder \ weapon change and shooting with the MOUSE?
Thank you
Does this version of the wingman help with improving input delay? I’m using a PS5 victrix pro FS and was wondering if using one of these would be redundant or would actually improve the experience playing on PS5 (and PC if I choose to for other fighting games).
Isn't vitrix pro PS5 certified anyway?
Can the wingman be updated so it isn’t made unusable by ps5 updates?
Glad I got you in my recs again love your content, hope you're well 😊
PS5 Explanation:
- DualShock 4 and aftermarket pads don't work for PS5 games because Sony wants people to experience DualSense features (haptic feedback and adaptive triggers).
I have a mayflash F300, should that USB work? 😮
I want to get a mixbox, but finding one with PS5 compatibility is not only difficult, but EXPENSIVE. Thanks to Brook, now I know there's an option that will save me a TON of cash. And @NihongoGamer, thank you SO MUCH for your videos. You've done so much for not only me, but gamers everywhere with your videos. I don't know if you hear this enough, but you are very appreciated and admired. Cheers!
Hello good evening, I have a hori alpha xbox controller, I'm using this adapter, but the touch button is missing, because the xbox arcade doesn't have it.
So this'll work for more than just fighting sticks?
Looking to use 3rd party controllers on PS5.
Will this work for my use case??
Thank you for making this video, I been asking about this in twitch chat and people act like they don’t have a clue. Thanks so much man!!
So this adapter is is strictly for PS4 to PS5 conversion? Or will i be able to go PS3 madcatz to PS5 and PC with this as well ?
Has anyone tested in any other ps5 game that's not specifically a fighting game? I mean how would the converter really know what's a fighting game and what isn't?
I had a Hori Real Arcade Pro N Hayabusa that would disconnect every 5 min. I recently switched to the Hori Arcade Alpha and now have 0 issues.
Is it possible to use ps3 arcade sticks with the dongle on a ps5?
This what I'd like to know
Would love if it worked for the sfxtekken mad catz pads for ps3 but I think will at least work for the sf5 ps4 pads
And it only works on the ps5? I'd love to use my dualsense on the ps3. Took my controller apart for the dpad rubber ages ago. would like to go and get that last trophy in MGR
As a custom stick maker, Brook is unrivaled.
Ive been using Brook XE for my arcade stick and fight pad which are for xbox. Will the FGC convert those over to ps5 like it did for ps4?
Just out of curiosity. Since this works so well. Do Xbox controllers work?
Will a Hori H.Rap.N work on PS5 just plug and play ?
I've played on the same Qanba Q2 Glow stick since 2013 (Xbox360/PC), and used a USB Brook convertor for several years to use it on PS4. Will be playing SF6 on PC so no convertor required anymore (Gotta love PC). Anyway definitely recommend brook convertors.
This is really hard to get in Vancouver, I basically gave up on it. It’s always sold out on Amazon and their customer service sucks tremendously. It’s impossible to reach a human being, can you imagine if you have any issues with the one you buy?
What about elite 2 Xbox controller working on the ps5?
I got an Obsidian2 and it plugs into the ps5 and works fine. I got the FC to try using a 8bitdo Arcade stick and never got it to work plugged into the FC or wirelessly.
What if they patch this thing out? I am spending the extra money on PS5 licensing, probably the new razer (I don't have a high end stick).
Does this work the same for ps4 and I assume a standard keyboard would work
Gonna order this simply to use ds4 on ps5 games. Haven't got a fight stick yet but im interested in a mayflash f300 elite as i want it for PlayStation and switch, this will pair nicely with it i reckon.
Is there any leverless that is reverse that works - like a keyboard style leverless
I cant find a UK site to pre order rhrough. I fuess i could just do the usual and buy from the states and pay the shipping snd tax. Cheers
My brook wingman just work for 5 minutes after its stops working. Yes i did the update. Using with hitbox ps3
Would this adapter also make a ps5 pad work on ps4 ? Os does it only work one way
I'm trying to use the converter for Dragon Ball FighterZ PS5 upgrade and it's not even working for my arcade stick with the adapter. Have more arcade sticks to test.
I have a ps5 slim with the usb c ports on the front. How can I covert the brooks converter to usb C to fit in my ps5 slim
Is there something like this for the Hori Fighting Commander? (PS4, PS3, PC) I hate the Commander Octa and bought a whole fight stick just for SF6 tournaments but I would love to just stick to my tried and true.\
EDIT: It probably does but it's SOLD OUT ALREADY! Fingers crossed for June.
Will be using the fighting edge but want to get one for my other sticks
Does it work on madcatz fightstick pro?
What about input lag?
Will victrix m bison version work ? On ps5 just didn't wanna buy another one
So when I get this I can use my 1st gen street fighter 4 SE edition for PS3 on my ps5
With the recent announcement of the Marvel classics coming to PS4 as well…
Would a new HORI RAP for the PS5 work without lag input on a PS4?
Ideally, I would like to use a new HRAP PS5 stick and a PS5 to play these new games coming to PS4. Not sure about overall compatibility.
Does this work with non fighting games? So Xbox one controller with ps5 with like god of war ps5?
I bought a snack box micro xl 2023 version cause it solves a lot of problems I have with my hitbox and it’s ps5 compatible
Do PS3 sticks work with this?
In other words it a USB passthru with a License that allows any device to work? 🧐🤔
Does it work wirelessly? I bent my old Hori Tekken 6 wireless stick dongle and it’s been broken ever since. Would love to fire it up again after all these years
puyo puyo vs tetris 2 does not work with a hori fight stick rap4 on a ps5. will this solve that too?
Man they got this thing out kinda late… some people be freakin out right now cuz they need one of these for the open beta in 2 days! Thankfully my Victrix is arriving just in time this week…
Would this work with ny madcatz xbox sf4 gamepad? Its not on the list but the stick is…
I am DESPERATE! I have a Hori Fighting Edge and it worked on PS5 since launch no problem. A couple of months ago, it stopped working entirely. I mean it has ZERO recognition. It only worked on my PS4 and PC. Contacted Hori and they said "tough luck, Fighting Edge wasn't made to be compatible with PS5" (which sounds wrong). Just yesterday, the stick stopped working on my PS4!! what the heck!? I've tried discord and Reddit forums and nobody knows what it is. It works totally fine on PC and all the buttons are recognized
ANY help would be appreciated, PLEASE!
I had to buy the hori alpha because my launch unit fighting edge broke. Anyone with faulty FE units know what might be the issue? I suspsect it's the USB.
Do the PS4 control sticks work or not? I only saw you use the D pad.
Will it work for fight pads as well?
Would a Rac-J500B be good to work on ps4
Am I able to use one of these adapters on my Xbox. I have a hori mini for my pc and I have a lot of fighting games on my Xbox. Just wanted to know if it would bypass the incompatibility
Does the Quanba drone ps4 work with ps5 games?
The wingman fgc is very inconsistent, why are we ignoring that?
may you elaborate? I was planning on buying one
Do they have an option for a person that wants to play on PS5 but with an Xbox controller?
Hi , do you known if hori stick mini will work without an adapter ?
If you are more tech savy, the same company makes a Universal Board for your arcade stick. If it plays games and has a USB, you can set your stick up to play on it. Its as simply as holding as button when you put it in to switch to the different profiles for consoles.
The UFB isn't compatible with the PS5. The UFB-UP5 upgrade only has the stick look like a legacy PS4 controller on a PS5.
UFB Fusion has compatibility with the PS5, but only certain games.
@@KetsubanSolo Wow, you're right. If I plugged my stick into a PS5 right now, it can only play PS4 games for some reason. Another reason to not get a PS5, its just a PC anyway. I got one of those.
Great video! I have a PC only Fightbox B1 Mini. Can I connect this controller on a PS5 using this adapter?
I have an old PS3 Hitbox. I wonder if this Brooke dongle would work? I am already using a PS3 to PS4 Brooke dongle.
Would a PS3 Mad Catz arcade stick work with it?
