She even hangs off her “puddin’” when it happens as if they’re experiencing some sort of romantic getaway.
@@thomasraines1396 Lmao literally nobody but 4 people in the Injustice universe bring up the fact that Harley has killed millions. 1. Martha Kent: who bans Harley from entering the Fortress of Solitude, since this was Superman's home. And then it is immediately rendered pointless because she then enters anyway when Zod attacks. 2. Ra's Al Ghul: He's basically trying to commit mass murder in the Injustice 2 comics. And when Harley opposes him, he brings up that she basically did the same thing to Metropolis. Harley gets mad at that and threatens him. She later tells him that she hoped Superman would stop the bomb like always because "good guys always win" or some other bs, which is no excuse at all, and then the story has Ra's (who was completely right) apologize to her. 3. Wonder Woman: She brings up that Harley was responsible for Metropolis, which she immediately turns around by saying "I was trying to impress the wrong guy, kinda like you with Superman". 4. Jon Kent: He got sent to the Injustice verse in his latest solo run, where he meets Harley and she apologized to him for basically murdering this universe's version of him and his mom. And his response is basically "If you're seeking forgiveness, you won't get any. All you can do from here is atone for what you've done". So, we literally only have 4 interactions of people calling Harley out for her BS, and 1 of those is immediately rendered pointless by the story, while in 2 others, the story portrays the party opposing Harley as wrong. agreed, she's truly lost in the arkhamverse. To me atleast, the most evil Harley is the DCAU one, she literally helped her "Mistah J" kidnap, torture, and break Tim Drake's Robin both physically and mentally, and seemingly didn't mind despite her helping the Joker literally torture a fucking kid, and that's pure evil even if she wasn't the one torturing Tim herself
@@altalia07well the joker relationship is flipped in Telltale. It’s Joker who genuinely loves her, and Harley is the one who is manipulating him. She’s kinda got the vibe of a mafia boss.
She’s the most evil because she started the trend of TS playing her in everything. I don’t hate Tara Strong, she’s widely talented. There’s just something about her Harley that never clicked with me. I was even excited when they said she’d get the role in Arkham City. But it just always feels like an impression to me, but not a good one. Time to be crucified…
@@joshuaseagondollar2495 She sort of started to sound like a parody of her own Harley Voice. Or maybe it's because she's in almost everything that I think she's just playing a different character.
I think the main difference is the simple fact Arleen's Quinn used an accent while Strong just uses a high pitch one. Arleen and even Walch gave Harley Quinn a Brooklyn esque kinda accent so she wasn't always speaking in her usual whimsical silly pixie girl voice. But with Tara Strong...not so much which is strange cuz she has the voice range to do it. Tara Strong's Harley Quinn voice lacks depth.
Tara Strong is a good Harley Quinn but only when when used sparingly, I think her Harley Quinn voice was done best in the 2015 DC Superhero Girls TH-cam shorts, tv specials and movies (not to be confused with the Lauren Faust rebranding of the DC Superhero Girls)
Kari Wahlgren did a pretty good harley in Gotham Knights too. Love that game or hate it - some of the characters and characters moments were on point. I loved how different that Harley felt whilst still respecting who she was as a character. They made her smart and not stupid like she was in the Arkham games... and Harley is smart, it's just a shame lots of iterations portray her as stupid. Makes no sense to me.
Harley in Arkham: Helps Joker without question, remains dedicated to him after his death to the point of trying to murder Batman, blow up Robin, murders a little girl and her grieving father to get Joker a fancy amusement park base. Harley in Suicide Squad: Proceeds to talk down to Bruce and acts as if she has any moral high ground, murders him in one of the most undeserved kills since Arya Stark murdered the Night King.
I think its important to note that not only, i feel like the arkham „universe“ seems darker than the already dark versions of dc shows, movies, etc., but also Harley as a character works different. Its Not so much Harleen turning into Harley, but rather them being two personalities that split through Jokers manipulation. After that Harley keeps Harleen mentally locked away. We can see that in her chapter in Arkham Knight, if you stay in her detective mode Harleen and her talk from time to time. And though Harleen doesnt appear as sweet as she does in some shows, she seems not as cruel as she does in Arkham Origins by far. She seems much mir human and emotional in some way. But i did like this insight into her Arkham version. Great video to get me back into the mood to play the games.
I always thought the most evil version of Harley was the one from the Batman cartoon, even before she became a villain she has been shown poisoning squirrels which is something most versions of her wouldn’t do
@@MistahJay7Nah, it's Arkham Harley. She helped torture Jason Todd, she OD'd a kid, she helped Joker with the titan formula experiments, and she helped Joker when he killed multiple kindergarteners and cut them up into pieces.

You didn’t even acknowledge the part where Harley supported the torture of Jason Todd and bombed children’s consoles after selling them in the comics killing dozens of families, oh and helping Joker skin babies and sew them together
I agree with this take. I've always felt Harley has a certain level of insanity and evil and it makes her a bit scary in this series. I feel like I would like to see more versions of her where she's really dark and has an element of scaryness from how evil she is. But I also do like her other versions with a softer side. I think it's nice to have both depending on what canon
Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League can’t have the quirky anti hero Harley and be set in the Arkham Universe because Arkham Harley *never* moved past her relationship with The Joker and never reformed. She’s just like that because it’s the most popular version of the character.
I always assumed the character bios and tapes were in universe. In Origins she doesn’t officially become Harley. My guess is that she worked with Joker secretly before becoming Quinn. In the first audio tape it already sounds like they’re teasing each other.
I always the most evil Harley was the one in the Birds of Prey. She was a Harley was never outed as a supervillain so she remained a therapist loyal to the Joker. I think this was her first adaptation outside of the animated series.
I thought Harley Quinn in the graphic novel "Joker" by Brian Azzarello is pretty evil. She's is depicted as a mute stripper that smiles whenever Joker does something f-d up.
While this version is very bad the Harley on Injustice helped the Joker blown a full city killed millions, mentally tormented Superman to madness point and still had the face to play victim and blame superman for all.
What every Harley centric story attempts to do nowadays is focus on what she would be like if Joker was no longer the center of her world, and if she lost his influence/motivation on her actions. Sure she’d still be messed up but no one seems to think she’d be straight up evil and cynical as he was. The problem with Arkhamverse Harley is that she never let go of the Joker, every iteration clung to his identity. So much so that when the Suicide Squad game shows off their new 5 years later Harley it doesn’t math with all we’ve seen up to that point. She never showed any sign or interest in being disassociated from him or acknowledging her mistreatment, or any regrets about the abhorrent things she did in his name. So it’s a real stretch when they characterize her now to match what everyone else has been doing with a Harley that’s distanced herself from the Joker. It’s watching someone make the wrong choice every time, never show any signs of learning from it and then after a time skip they somehow performed a 180. It just feels unearned here.
Unfortunately the writers are too much of a fanboy of the new and "improved" good girl Harley and completely "forgot" the Arkham version of Harley has no such personality. It's like those clowns watched the HBO cartoon and thought "we can do that too".
When Harley was first created for Batman the Animated Series her original origin story was reveled in the book version of MAD LOVE and its companion TV episode with the same name. In both versions of MAD LOVE, Harley meet Joker in Arkham where she was his doctor.
I’d love to see a version of Harley that kills the Joker and saves Batman after years of being loyal to the joker and realizing that he doesn’t care about her and sees the error of her ways that would be a fitting Joker death because he would be so full of himself that he wouldn’t see the betrayal coming in a similar way to Darth Vader when he betrayed Palpatine in Star Wars
The arkham games are the best iteration of Batman's gallery of Roues. They are proper villains. All are evil monsters through and through, which makes sense being that only true monsters could do what they do.
Other Harley Quinn’s: they become better they are better and get a happy ending and I ahve a good friend ship with Batman Arkham Harley:Batman even though I’m a mass murderer youve hurt so many people I’m gonna shoot you and not try to look for a cure
I hate Harley quinn for killing Batman, he wasn't evil, none of the members of the league were. They were victims, they were being mind controlled. The Squad should've saved the league and stopped Brainiac, he's the problem and I know they're badguys but they're good badguys, why bring back a Batman that so many people grew up with, that I grew up with, one of the things that drew me to Batman just to have him killed at the fan's hands. WHY WAS I NOT MORE UPSET ABOUT THIS! Also I didn't see all the cutscenes but Waller sucks, she orders the squad to kill the justice league and she yelled at king shark I'M YOUR DADDY NOW! she just seemed so mean. F*ck this game.
waller has always sucked, thats the point of her, she's worse than the villains under the guise of a government hero. the problem with this game is the writers hated the mythos and didnt understand the characters in the series
Waller has almost ALWAYS been this mean in some way shape or form. On top of this, there’s theories going around that the Justice League in this game that are controlled by Brainiac are clones of the originals. The originals are in stasis pods, according to a leaked Flash recorded message in the game’s files. Doesn’t make it any better though.
I really did love this interpretation of Harley who was already dabbling in dubious activities even before she met and became obsessed with the Joker.Which makes her grandstanding to Batman in KTJL so much more nonsensical.
The Alberto Falcone thing doesn't seem too incriminating tbh since it's hinted at but unclear what's actually going on. It's normal for people who go to therapy to feel like they're being experimented on. I interpreted it as a guy who was embarrassed to go to therapy due to the stigma and Harley was mentioning how she was going to tell his dad about his issues to make him come to his appointments. Not morally justified, but it's not murder or anything like that. You also didn't mention the other tapes with the Warden how Harley was going out of her way to give free therapy for the inmates at Black Gate, for anyone she could, even when the Warden told her she didn't need to and he didn't see why she would even want to. The Warden is clearly a bad guy in the tapes, mostly focused on running the prison as cheaply as possible. From the context of the tapes she was new to this and was genuinely curious about the criminal mind. I do feel like that is a good thing she did, even if it was because of her obsession with the criminal mind that led her to her Joker fascination.
Harley Quinn was a better character when she was tragic, badass, and the Joker's girlfriend. She's SUPPOSED to be a villain. The whole "lesbian feminist Deadpool" thing needs to go.
Perhaps the Arkhamverse is so rotten compared to the normal universe because of Harley being legit evil in this timeline. In the normal timeline, she's a mitigating factor on The Joker for a while, to the point where Joker realizes it during Death of the Family. She ends up acting as a bridge between the heroes and villains of Gotham and beyond even before this, driving a big grey wedge between Batman's black and white morality. She acts as a conduit for Themysciran ideology to spread more thanks to her time with the Amazons, she moves Ivy to being an anti-hero in the vein of Animal Man (makes sense, there's a spectrum between Animal Man and Ra's Al Ghul with the same goals and different methods and Pam slides across it), and she's generally able to walk on both sides and tell off everyone. Jason won't even kill her. Without Harley Quinn, there's no real bridge between the heroes and villains, which causes things to get this bad.
So I had an idea. What if there were a version of Harley with the typical origin? Obsessed with Joker, breaks him out, yada yada. But what if instead there was a version who's actually manipulating Joker? She's pretending to be obsessed with him (or at least in love), and is trying to get closer than anyone to actually be able to understand him from a psychological perspective? And one day, she drops the act, and turns on him and Batman.
Well there's Harley quinn in batman the tale tell series Who does manipulate the joker? And then there's also Harley Quinn in Batman. The white night comics, I'm super smart.
Hmmm… I’m going to disagree. In Gods and Monsters (well, in one of the cartoons made to lead up to Gods and Monsters) she was a serial killer who taxidermied people and the treated the taxidermied corpses like her family.
Could canon inconsistencies between Origins and Asylum imply Bruce Wayne's reliability as a narrator? Cuz Rocksteady said that even though they didn't work on Origins, it's still considered canon to the Arkham Trilogy.
I literally said this a few weeks ago 😭😂😂😂 They turned the most evil and Joker obsessed version of Harley into an anti hero who hates Joker. That's why that speech she gave Batman before she shot him was fucking rich. This is the Harley I like not the "anti hero, feminist lgbt icon, I am a victim and not responsible for my own actions" Harley. They try to make every Harley like the Margot Robbie version and Harley Quinn show version.
Having Harley as an antihero type isnt that important to me. I like her as a villain but i like the idea that she was good before meeting Joker. The world twists us sometimes and I feel like Batman has always been good about expressing that as opposed to the Marvel and the way they do things. Im drawn to the darkness, what can I say?😆

Honestly it's a big disappointment that we didn't get to see this personality of hers in SSKTJL, or at the very least, her having an arc that lets her finally show some humanity and finally get over Jonkler.
I think even they would realize how stupid it would be to have Harley do them sick twisted shit and then judge Batman for “causing mental and emotional damage.”
@@8-bitpersona16 It's in character for this version of Harley
It’s all done off screen which is shit and they changed Harley to be more in line with modern interpretations but it’s so artificial and unearned. Don’t get me wrong I love modern Harley, just this Harley isn’t that.
bro she’s been over the joker for 5 years. she’s been telling boomerang that she’s nobody’s sidekick. she’s OVER IT. she’s grown. she’s still crazy and i love her for that because that’s just how harley is
plus she’s growing, every character grows somehow. times are changin, man. get used to it.
I feel like people need to be reminded that Injustice Harley literally helped to NUKE A FUCKIN' CITY, and then blamed Superman for failing to stop it.
They also give her some schlocky relationship with Black Canary once she finds out she’s pregnant. Canon Harley has killed children before, Injustice Harley would’ve been involved with the deaths of millions of children when Metropolis blew up.
Only interaction which is completely in-character is Jon Kent.
@@thomasraines1396 All the other heroes on "the good side" are completely fine with her roaming free.

agreed, she's truly lost in the arkhamverse.
As for City, and that there she doesn't do anything that evil... well she gets those poor doctors for Joker, and she let's them be killed in very cruel ways, one of them as I remember is thrown into a cauldron and molten metal is poured on them. And then she mocks these doctors later that they don't help at all. Yeah, even in there she's complicit with assisting in cruel, sadistic murder.
In volume 1 of the Arkham Knight comics that took place between City and Knight, she did very briefly start to see the error of her ways.
Good point! I always hear different things about the comics being canon or not however, so for that reason, I didn’t talk about them. Thanks for letting me know however, didn’t know about that.

I like the idea of Harley being a horrible person from the very start, doing shaddy crimes as a psychiatrist with out having a criminal record, and then after assuming her identity as Harley Quinn she started committing horrendous crimes in public. Such a fresh take on the character, it's very tiresome seeing her being portrayed as a victim, it's really nice seeing that she can be worse then the joker.
It makes the death scenes in the new suicide squad much more satisfying.

Honestly I think she works best as a sidekick to the joker, any other way and she's just op and annoying
Joker actually caught Jason todd bc of one of his worst crimes, he mutilated and sewn together the corpses of children (I believed he also kidnapped them) whom he killed and Jason todd really couldn't stand for that and actively hunted joker bc of it and harley is an accomplice granted idk if it's confirmed that she helped joker but harley doesn't do anything without the joker involved, either way she was okay with the murder and mutilation of children
I damn well love a version of Harley Quinn that is pure villain. God we don’t have enough female villains. They always turn out to be anti hero’s. I wonder if this version of HQ killed a bunch kids too

She did the same thing in the arkham universe but with Jason for over a year.
TellTale Harley is easily the most evil one
To add onto the point the first reply made, she made a kid overdose, helped Joker kill kindergarteners and so on.
@@MistahJay7whatd she do? Never played it
@@altalia07well the joker relationship is flipped in Telltale.
Like Hynden Walch sort of sounds like an Arleen impression too but it’s different enough I appreciate it. Plus she nails the little quirks and even the comedy factor that Arleen’s Harley had. Welp. Time to be crucified…
I thought she was alright in City, but after that she just started to sound more annoying as time went on.
@@joshuaseagondollar2495
She sort of started to sound like a parody of her own Harley Voice.
Wow this makes Injustice Harley look like a saint
Great video to get me back into the mood to play the games.
i was always curious how christopher nolan would have handled her
I always thought the most evil version of Harley was the one from the Batman cartoon, even before she became a villain she has been shown poisoning squirrels which is something most versions of her wouldn’t do

This makes the SSquad Harley look even worse.
How come this is the same Harley in KTJL? They feel like different people.
That’s because they are.
They basically dropped modern anti-hero Harley in, without considering the fact that Arkham Harley was an absolute monster.

Dude Arkham Harley is more of a menace than Injustice 💀
Harley is better off being a villain i always hated her
Being redeemed.
Unfortunately the writers are too much of a fanboy of the new and "improved" good girl Harley and completely "forgot" the Arkham version of Harley has no such personality. It's like those clowns watched the HBO cartoon and thought "we can do that too".
This Harley was so iconic, sad that people now hate her cause she killed Batman
That and because there trying to redeem her by making her an anti hero
When Harley was first created for Batman the Animated Series her original origin story was reveled in the book version of MAD LOVE and its companion TV episode with the same name. In both versions of MAD LOVE, Harley meet Joker in Arkham where she was his doctor.
1:40 you speak so formal and smoothly. That “bitch” definitely hit harder than I woudlve imagined XD
Comic Harley killed a bunch of children using exploding video games, so no , not even close to the most evil.

I still say the Gods and Monsters Harley is the most disturbing version.

And yet people on twitter are cheering for her
Twitter is truly a cesspit.

But what if instead there was a version who's actually manipulating Joker? She's pretending to be obsessed with him (or at least in love), and is trying to get closer than anyone to actually be able to understand him from a psychological perspective? And one day, she drops the act, and turns on him and Batman.
