There might be a connection with the first and third cases. The babysitter in the first one was named Lillian Choi, and one of the people Lisa was chatting with was named Lillian87.
Here's what I can assume is the entire story for 403: We know that during the interview, Jack and Grace give different versions of what happened. Grace says she saw Kristy, but Jack claims he saw no one. Most of the interviews agree that Grace was upset during the party and drank a lot, so we can assume that Kristy really did come out of Brian's apartment. After exploring the apartment, you find out that someone accused Brian of assaulting Kristy and he showed the notice with Grace, that explains why she was so upset. So why would Jack lie about Kristy? Well, when we first open the red bag, we discover it belongs to someone whose name is Carter. We know Kristy's name is Carter because of the interview, but the bag can't be hers because we also find a piece of paper about summer's school (we know that she's about to graduate, so it can't be hers). According to a piece of paper we find in Brian's room, all the boys are 18 (and about to graduate according to the messages on the pc) except Jack. There's also medicine for asthma in the red bag, and we know that Jack left because Brian was smoking a lot (they even had a heated argument because of it). So we can safely assume the red bag could only belong to Jack. We know Jack's last name is Carter, which means he is related to Kristy. We know that the rumor about Kristy being assaulted spread and that Kristy's parents have been made aware, so it's not surprising Jack would learn about it too and plan to take revenge. How did he find out it was Brian? There doesn't seem to be any perfect evidence, but we can assume that his sister would have told him, maybe he deduced it himself knowing that Brian got suspended, or perhaps grace got a little loud mouthed at the party and made it apparent. Another piece of evidence (albeit sneaky), is how Jack mentions finishing his drink before leaving the apartment, but funnily enough, Jack's cup still had alcohol in it, and coincidentally, no one saw him ever leave the apartment. And if he did, why leave his bag? Jack knew about the assault, and planned his hit on Brian beforehand. He showed up to the party and conveniently left out his sister in the story, he stole the keys before Lisa could show up. He left his drink to avoid getting drunk and waited for everyone else to fall asleep. When Brian started smoking, it threw a wrench in his plans because Jack has asthma (We know this from the inhaler in the red bag), so Jack started the argument with his friend in order to drive him into his room, away from the others. When everyone fell asleep, he used the spare key to unlock Brian's room, confronted him about the assault, and shot him, then fleeing the scene, forgetting his bag and forgetting to empty his cup. By the time the others woke up, Jack was nowhere to be found, we know this from Andrew's interview.
We were supposed to deduce that Jack's last name was Carter because the backpack contained a letter addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Carter and a case with an inhaler, and because Jack said he couldn't stand Brian's smoking? That's some tenuous logic. There are lots of people who aren't asthmatic and still hate cigarette smoke. Further, the case also contained epipens, which I thought would prove to be at least as big a clue as the inhaler, but apparently not. I feel like this last case's logic had other some other problems, too. For instance, I kept thinking that Grace was lying about being blackout drunk because we never found a solo cup with her name on it (unless it was somewhere in the apartment and Evelyn just never found it). Also, the Case File Report stated that "Jack has a younger sister named Kristy"; however, as you noted, Jack is only 17 and attending summer school, meaning he can't have just graduated, whereas the IMs on Lisa's computer between her and zayn78 tell us that Kristy is graduating. This implies that Kristy is Jack's older sister, not younger. Admittedly, that error doesn't affect the identity of the murderer, especially given that the evidence that Jack and Kristy were related at all was pretty weak to begin with, but it feels like a sloppy mistake that just goes to show the plotting for this last case wasn't as tight as the others.
@@MichaelZielinski-n8h You deduce that the letter addressed to the carter's is Jack's from all the other evidence. Maybe a little convoluted but I mean it is a detective game. I think some cases in real life also require some stretches. You can only figure it out if you know Jack isn't gonna graduate so he's the only one who could do summer school. And we can assume that Grace was blackout drunk as multiple other sources claimed she was throwing drinks back like there was no tomorrow
@@MichaelZielinski-n8h the epipens are accurate, just rare one would need them, as typically it overlaps with anaphylaxis (i.e. being allergic to something such as dogs, cats, peanuts, etc.) and you can also get inhaleable epinephrine (though sometimes this doesn't work, especially if you, y'know... can't breathe). source: I fucking hate having asthma
What i'm trying to understand is how lillian, the babysitter from the first one, is involved with the third case AND the gun. she was lisa's friend and she knew about the sexual assault allegation. but she was brenda's babysitter as well. so im curious about why the gun match those bullets, unless jack pawned it and clyde bought it which maybe.
The events of the last case (Brian's murder) take place in 2003, whereas the second case takes place in 2004. So, I don't think it's likely that the same gun was used in both murders. Rather, I think the game's developer simply didn't want to have to create another type of bullet casing, so they just reused the one from the second case.
@@MichaelZielinski-n8h probably, since they didn't even make it look like the luger ammo was fired (no dent in the bottom where the hammer struck, like it does on the other ammo) or even "real" ammo (aluminium cases are typically "practise" ammo for the range/target shooting with less power, which makes it hard to murder someone without being point-blank [at least according to a fuzzy memory of a true crime story that involved aluminium cases I listened to a while back])
These take place in the US, it wouldn’t be far fetched at all for neighbors to own the same brand of gun if it’s a popular one. It’s probably just reused assets but it’s still a completely believable coincidence story wise
I don't know where Jack got the gun, but I imagine he brought it with him to scare or threaten Brian when he returned to the party because he was angry about the sexual harassment allegation, and when Brian denied it, Jack probably got so mad that he actually shot him,. then panicked and fled without his bag. Jack was already wound up (he mentions Grace being unpleasant all evening and Brian smoking, even though Brian likely knew that Jack was asthmatic since they were in a band together), so the idea that Brian assaulted his sister was probably the last straw.
@@shinyfirefly5034 Nope, Andrew was the drummer. The drummer's bag and Jack's are two different bags, the drummer owns the blue sports bag with the drumsticks and Jack owns the red backpack with the inhaler and the summer camp documents

Couldn't be Andrew because the culprit used the spare key, which was already stolen by the time Lisa and Andrew arrived. The most important clues were the spare key and the red bag. First, it's important to ask ourselves why the spare key was stolen. If the culprit stayed at Brian's the whole time, there would be no need to steal it. Also, while the spare key was used to open Brian's bedroom, no one could have foreseen that Brian would get into a heated argument and lock himself in his room (unless it was planned). This means that the spare key was stolen to open the entrance door. This piece of information pretty much narrows down the suspects to the only two people who actually left the apartment at some point: Kristy and Jack. Kristy couldn't be the culprit since she was back home by the time Brian died, and since she was willing to lie about not having seen Brian in at least a week, it means she was confident no one actually saw the two of them together during that timespan. She wouldn't risk committing the crime herself and ruin her own alibi. This pretty much leaves Jack as the culprit. The red bag is how you find out why he did it. We learn the bag belongs to someone whose name is Carter, which is Kristy's name (interview). It can't be hers though, because there's a piece of paper about summer school. Summer school can be mandatory or voluntary (at least in the USA). Manditory if you failed something or missed too much school. Voluntary either by the kid or the parent. Voluntary by the parent if they can't afford a babysitter or daycare and don't trust the kid at home alone for whatever reason. Voluntary by the kid if they just want to go to school. In some cases, I believe the kid can get extra credits going to summer school. Sometimes, the school might offer classes you wouldn't usually have while school is in a regular session.
The layout of this apartment is uncannily similar to a real apartment I’ve spent a lot of time in and it was sort of eerie feeling like I knew what was right around every corner. It’s furnished really similarly too! They had a young kid.
Okay, this is wild. The second (demo) apartment is the exact layout of a college apartment-style dorm where I went to school and I have specific memories from parties there!
I find it interesting that Jack was freaked out by shooting Brian and Brenda walked up to Clyde while he was trying to get away and shot him instead of calling 911
This is comparing a teen boy who we can't even be sure intended to shoot anyone, to a grown woman being stalked by drunkard ex trying to take her kids. Obviously they'd probably have very different reactions to shooting someone.
@lacytaylor1501 All I said is I find it interesting that they reacted the way they did. Not the fact that their reactions are different. Also we can't be sure Clyde came for the kids either, but it's all about perception. Either way, I find it interesting.
@@hmars2164 He might not have been there for them then, but the other kid said the father talked of getting him away from their mom so that did seem to be an eventual plan of his. But I'm not trying to be harsh or anything, I was just saying why it's likely they were such different reactions. Also another point is Clyde pulled a gun, Brian was unarmed. It's very interesting seeing the differences here with a petty poisoning shoved in between
Clyde could’ve also been looking for birth certificates. If you’re going to steal your kid you may want it’s social security number card and birth certificate, that way if you need to get on a plane or if he wanted to try to give em a life enroll em in school etc he’d need those things. So steal the papers and the ring for $$ then the kid. 🤷♀️🤷♀️

It can't be hers though, because there's a piece of paper about summer school. The only one who isn't graduating in the group is Jack, who is 17 (clues in Brian's room). You also find medicine for asthma in the bag, and we know Jack left because Brian smoked a lot. So we can safely assume the bag belongs to Jack. Thus we learn that Jack and Kristy and related.
Since the rumor about Brian and Kristy spread around school, it's not surprising that Jack learnt about it and took revenge for Kristy.
@@Ventpiire This is a brilliant answer! Thank you for clearing it out!!!
@@dora6090 No problem :)
Also, if jack left why was his bag still there? Because when he came back to have it out with Brian he didn’t think he’d end up shooting him(or got scared when he actually shot him) and forgot to pick it up as he fled the scene
@@Hazysocrazythe only thing I can think of is Jack leaving the apartment in a hurry due to a potential asthma attack
This has been super interesting, I would love to see more!
yay! more of this! I loved the first video, I'm so glad you're doing more!

Nothings better after an Epidural Injection procedure than recovering with Gab Videos! ❤️ Baby and I are tuned in, late but so excited for this video!!

This was an interesting one! Thanks Gabs!
Reminds me so much of The Painscreek Killings
can’t wait for the next walkthrough, i’m loving this game!
OMG YES! I'VE DYING FOR THIS (will have to watch the entirety later)
Edit: Finally got to watch it, but these cases are confused. It's a little hard that they aren't connected
Ahhhh ive been waiting for this! So excited!!!! I got my snacks and im ready baby!
Hey Gab! I love your videos, you’re my comfort TH-camr. You and your peaceful energy have gotten me through some rough times lately. I really appreciate you and what you do.
Maybe someone has suggested this already, but if you like this game, you may like a game called Shadows of Doubt!
I absolutely love this game. Mysteries like this are so much fun to unravel, and these stories have all been really interesting. I especially like that the explanations are provided in the end, even if they don’t solve every loose end. I do wonder if that’s because they’ll be mentioned in later cases or not. Either way, this is a great series. 😊
PLEASE do the next case file soon, im so in love with this series
I love you playing these I’m so hyped!!! 🎉 excited for the next one! The next few files ARE SO GOOD
I really like this game and your videos for it!Great job and I'm glad you continued them! Also loved BBs outfit! So fire!
Do you have ANY IDEA HOW LONG I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ❤❤❤
The baby did it, don't trust the baby 😂
Awesome been waiting for this, happiest of new years 🎉
I just finished watching the missing file case and the cps hannah have the same surname as lisa and brian, is this also connected?
before i watch the rest of this it makes me think of witness protection thing, like they were in witsec and were finally found.
Yay I was hoping to see more of this!!
Amazing Game! Thanks for playing it!
So excited for this game!
Yay! More of this game by Gab! Friggin' awesome :)
Loving scene investigators ☺️ can't wait for the next episode 💜
Another scene investigator! Yeay!
I just want to say how proud I am, growing up with you and your channel. Being here since end of 2014, thanks to Fatal Frame, and still here. I barely watch yt in the past, but you're my very first channel to subs, and I could even discover few other channels from you. Checking on your new videos is my routine before I go to bed (since it's 12 am here when you upload), and I enjoy your videos with my son in the morning since he was a baby till now.
Now that you have more cozy theme, you're inspired me to make my own channel. I do like playing games, but limited due to consoles or pc, so I usually just see your let's play. So I play some games that I can afford for now and hope I can be a great youtuber-gamer like you. Please keep humble as you are now ♡
Oye big message aye? (I have no idea why I became Australian for that but ok.)
YAY! Been waiting for this, can’t wait to watch when I wake up 😊
i really love this gam ^^ and gabs playing it is so nice
The day after I watched this video I was walking by one of my cats and he lets out this pitiful loud meow and I was instantly like *gasp* BARF MEOW 😂 and it saved my rug from getting barfed on like he usually does since I was able to move him to the hardwood floor in time
Summer school can be mandatory or voluntary (at least in the USA).
My day gets better with a Gab upload
The layout of this apartment is uncannily similar to a real apartment I’ve spent a lot of time in and it was sort of eerie feeling like I knew what was right around every corner. It’s furnished really similarly too! They had a young kid.
Okay, this is wild. The second (demo) apartment is the exact layout of a college apartment-style dorm where I went to school and I have specific memories from parties there!
I love the fact that you upload every day 😁 Big fan of the Japanese horror stuff!
They were really reaching with that last case
I loooooove mysteries lately ❤ I recently played This Bed We Made after seeing you play it ❤ it's such a lovely game!
Everyone cozy & comfy?
I love this game! Please play more :)
27:10 thats actually a logical beef stew recipe. might have to try it for myself 🤔
Love these!
Ahhh been waiting for this!!
for the dinner case i kept thinking "and you did it at my birthday dinner"
I find it interesting that Jack was freaked out by shooting Brian and Brenda walked up to Clyde while he was trying to get away and shot him instead of calling 911
maybe clyde kept trying to find them even with the restraning order, she got so mad and shot him or could be out of deffense :-)
It's very interesting seeing the differences here with a petty poisoning shoved in between
Love your content gabs keeps my head up every time I watch your videos much love ❤😭
8:07 Aww! Star of the show! Such a cute boy
I love your videos and your positive ❤❤❤
Clyde could’ve also been looking for birth certificates. If you’re going to steal your kid you may want it’s social security number card and birth certificate, that way if you need to get on a plane or if he wanted to try to give em a life enroll em in school etc he’d need those things. So steal the papers and the ring for $$ then the kid. 🤷♀️🤷♀️
I loveeee this game Please play more. Love your vids!❤
omg YES!!!!! I've been waiting for this video!
I love watcing you play this. So cozy 😆
I heard the date and it caught me by surprise. That's my birthday!!
so your tellin me...that no one noticed that they kept a safe with gun..in a kids room??????? thats...not good
Gab, please more scene investigators..!
i really thought that the last one, the celebration, would end with grace having made up the thing about brian hurting kristy because secretly brian had hurt her and she didn’t want all their friends to know. i kinda didn’t like how they wrote that one tbh.
Havent started watching yet but already so excited! The last video you did on this game was so fun! Always love it when you do play ditective lol
Ah yes I needed to be traumatised today, lets go
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS❤
I honestly forgot that these cases are connected in ways... now I can't remember who is how or how they connect. This is going to be a rough time trying to track it all again. ahahah
Detective Gab Smolders 😎😎
