Calm Sunrise Breathing Animation - HRV (Resonant, Coherent) Breathing

  • Animated breathing pacer. This breathwork is known as resonant breathing, coherent breathing, resonance frequency breathing, cardiac coherence breathing, or HRV breathing.
    How to use this video: Sitting upright and still, synchronize your breathing with the animation. There is no need to breathe very deeply, about 50% of maximum depth is a good amount. Adjust the speed to your preference using the gear wheel in the bottom right corner of the video player (desktop) or the three little dots in the upper right corner (mobile).
    Everyone has their own individual resonant frequency that will produce the best results. If you are a tall person, it is likely that your breath cycles need to be a bit longer than 5.5s. If you are short, your breath cycles may need to be shorter.
    My recommendation is to perform this slow calm breathing for at least 10 minutes twice every day for a week and see how you feel at the end of the week.
    Loop: Right click the video and select loop if you want to have it running continuously.
    Try the Night Mode version, which is optimized for late-night use with minimal hormone-disrupting green and blue light - • HRV Breathing Night Mo...
    If you prefer the old Sunrise video you can find it here - • HRV Breathing Sunrise
    If you would like to learn what HRV is and why this breathing rhythm is so beneficial, check out this animation - • Everything You Should ...
    For easy access, bookmark this video, and drag it to your browser’s bookmark bar. Personally I use this type of breathing every morning and it has benefitted me immensely.

    Hey. This is an updated version of the HRV Breathing Sunrise video from last year. Changes include:
    • Music/breathing cue sounds created by the one and only Rosentwig: open.spotify.com/artist/3RvDvs8u3A7qVJjkG6NoPb
    • Longer duration (+2:28)
    • Added more animations and increased the size of the original ones to improve clarity of the breathing rhythm
    • Improved animation easings (speed variance) to more accurately represent the breathing rhythm
    • Added one more bird animation
    • Improved the clouds
    • Changed some colors, most notably the background sky, to increase the contrast with the sun.
    I’m pretty happy to finally have this out cause I was never quite happy with the previous version. Hope you guys like the changes! And if you don’t, the old version can be found in the video description or here: th-cam.com/video/K3ae7LWvSXI/w-d-xo.html
    My next informational animation video is 1/3rd done at the moment but is being delayed as I’m prioritizing another project. It will be more than 11 minutes long and similar to my video about neurogenesis.

      Well, actually no, because Stephen Elliot, the "inventor" of the coherent breathing, made it quite clear, that it is better to do 3 x 5 minutes per day than once 20 minutes. But you can of course do longer. He also said to try out 20 minutes every day for 2 weeks and see what is happening. But you still have to do 2 x 5 Minutes. If you want to get good results.

    28/03 40 -> 39
    29/03 39 -> 36
    30/03 36 -> 29 🤷🏻‍♀️
    31/03 29 -> 38
    01/04 38 -> 27
    02/04 27 -> 27
    03/04 27 -> 34 (no breathing exercises today)
    04/04 34 -> 35
    05/04 35 -> 20
    06/04 20 -> 22
    07/04 22 -> 23
    Update: a couple of years later… this is still my favourite HRV breathing video 💛 And my HRV is now usually 50s - 70s. A big improvement from a couple of years ago.

    Hello there, thank you for this great video.
    I have been struggling with the production of saliva. Thanks to your HRV video I’m starting to understand why!
    A few times into following this video I've started to feel saliva appear in my mouth. This is a revelation!
    I run out of breath after about 4 seconds on the inhale, does this matter? Will i improve with practice? Also if i keep doing this will my body have a chance at regulating my para + sympathetic nevous system? And consistently produce saliva.
    Sorry for the essay, this has just been such a breakthrough.

    • @MindDrip
      @MindDrip  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Douglas. I'm not a medical professional by any stretch of the imagination, but regularly performing this type of rhythmic breathing definitely produces health benefits in terms of relaxation and activating the parasympathetic nervous system. Producing saliva is one of its effects, so you can be sure that it's working as intended when you notice that happening!
      I don't know whether regular practice will allow you to extend the breathing cycle durations or not, but I would imagine so. If it feels more comfortable you can slow down the video in increments of 5% through the menu on the gear wheel in the bottom right of the video player, or the 3 dots in the upper right if you are viewing it on your mobile phone.
      If you continue with this breathing practice for a while and it becomes easier with time and you notice any benefits I would love to hear back from you.

    very calming thx :). how can i know if it fits my personal resonance well or if its too quick or long? and what is the advantage of this breathing rythm compared to for example 4sec inhale - 8sex exhale? in theory , the longer the exhale the more activation of parasympathicus, or not? but i like this one. just interested in how it works :)

    • @MindDrip
      @MindDrip  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think just trying different speeds and noticing which feels most appropriate is probably the best way to figure that out. You can also consider your height, if you are very tall, make the breaths longer, and vice versa if you are particularly short. You could theorize that longer exhalations creates more parasympathetic nervous system activation, yes, although I'm not entirely sure how it would work out in practice

    • @MindDrip
      @MindDrip  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're the first person to mention something like this. I'd assume perhaps you need to adjust the speed to make the breathing rate a bit faster (especially if you are a short invidivual), or that you would need to build yourself up to doing the entire video length, starting out with just a few minutes at a time. I wouldn't describe the sensation I get as being dizzy nor tingly, but quite often it does produce a pleasant feeling.
