    Back in the days this PC was the best money could assemble! Top of the line EVGA mobo, triple CF, the first i7 to ever hit the market, custom WC and ultra-fast DDR3 RAM running in triple channel mode! Just WOW

      The ram wasn't the correct model to be the best. The best would have been 2000c7 or 2000c8, this kit was 1600c7.

    I am in love with this pc, in both old and new configurations. the DEFINITION of an old beast. So glad you kept the custom watercooling loop. the 3 gpus just told the story of how badass this pc was back in the day. great work.

    Believe it or not, but the 3050 will slightly bottleneck the cpu by about 6%. I can definitely say I’m surprised.

    The case would be worth some money, those 800D cases are pretty good, I am using one. The components, fittings (try buying them individually) etc would be worth something so I would think it's worth the 230, they would be usable in another build.

    Pretty sure that nvidia card was used to run Hybrid Physx with modified/older nvidia drivers. It allowed you to run PhysX even if your main GPU was AMD/ATI.

    The HD5970 is "high end" if high end is throwing money away for no reason. It is two 5870 on one card in 'Crossfire mode', which will probably run slower than the single HD5870 because they are clocked slower and Crossfire doesn't work in many games.

    really dedicated work,although the pc was kind of destroyed and even spending 230 dollar on it wasnt actually worth,liquid spilled,full of dust,components are too old that even today's games would struggle to run like that i7 980 and dont know what gpu,Though u did awesome work and even gave rtx 3050 which no one expected.

    This was, at one point someone's dream pc, the water cooler back then must be hella expensive, yet i have no idea why you need that much liquid cooling for 920 i7, you can even get by with the stock cooler

    Cant believe some one went to the trouble of water cooling an i7-920....That was like the worst and coolest of the i7's back then, Atleast should of gone top tier i7-980X 6core. Or throw an old X5690 server cpu in there and overclocked the stink outta her upto 4.5ghz. They love it...

    The amount of water cooling in this system is ridiculous as hell for what was in it. It didnt need all that BS and in the end it just fried some parts. Good vid though as usual.

      Windex or any glass cleaner with ammonia works but don't forget to rinse with water

    Just wow great video allot of work put in here, personally i don't think i would have had the patience. My version of this video would have been tear down and put everything into one of them large ultra sonic cleansers that's it, they, make allot of this level of cleaning no longer necessary but A+ for effort.

    Cool pc rebuild but sucks, that Rtx 3050 will be bottlenecked hard. I had similar system 3-4 years ago and it performed quite bad back then. I was rocking dual x5677 with 36gb ram and rx 580 4gb. And it could not keep fps above 100 even in CS:GO. Later unexpectedly got great deal on i5-10600k and it was night and day difference.

    I am not sure why you didn't ultra-sound washed the motherboard. There is only hope that the coolant is not that aggressive to metals.

    the rad was clean because it never saw any coolant lol. it was all at the bottom of the case and inside of the power supply.

    I can't help but feel the guy could have avoided being scammed simply by bothering to google the model number on the motherboard, generally speaking gaming PCs advertised in 2023 that are based around parts from 2008 are not going to be very legit :P

    Did you try those GPUs with UEFI disable? I remember haveling issues running old gpus in modern motherboards that support UEFI.

    i don't use sound off my monitor i have my sound card directly connected to my stereo great sound 4ft speaker boxes 15" woofer 5" mid horn tweeter i built myself got them from the thrift store had to replace everything good sound

    Id rather have the 5970 and 5870 than 3050, they are way better and more valuable. I think they reason they didnt dispaly in the test system was because it was probably uefi
