People, who require someone else to validate their life experiences, are just weak in spirit. ...and who needs a "hall monitor" watching your every move, not to mention, the constant, head-to-toe, body inspections?!
I love how you plate that dinner like it came from a restaurant. It makes the eating experience more enjoyable. People forget that step so often. That soft boiled egg is perfection. What a nice lifestyle you have cultivated for yourself. I'm sure there are lots of guys who would love to change your single status to coupled, but it looks like you're living your best life right now.
Great video! I lived alone for years and really appreciated getting to know myself. I had a partner but during that time, I wasn’t ready to give up my alone time. Now, we’ve been living together for 14 years. It’s great because I made the decision when the time was right for me. I didn’t settle or rush into anything. So glad that I waited.
I went from living with my family, to roommates to living with my husband. I was 50 years old when we divorced and for the first time lived on my own. It's now been for 11 years and love it
I’m 66-years-old and have lived alone for a total of 40 years. No roommate, thank you. And with lovers, I keep my space and he keeps his. When you eat alone, do you read (books, magazines, etc.), view television, or something on your cell phone 📱? It eases the loneliness. Listening to music 🎶 helps set the mood. Cleaning up after yourself right away helps. But if cleaning 🧹 up after cooking and eating, plus doing laundry 🧺 and cleaning your restroom and bedroom gets to be more time than you want to spend, hire a cleaning 🧼 person twice a month helps if you can afford it. I do not bring strangers to my home.
Hi Joey! I just found your channel - hello neighbour! Hanging out with friends also helps. Stay fit, watch your health and watch your soul.

I think you have hit the most important thing about living by yourself. Make yourself proper meals and prepare as if you have a person coming you want to impress. I have been doing it for decades.
That's a real contrast of my life, not so relaxing. My days are chopping wood, mowing lawns using a ride on mower, building sheds, knocking walls out in the house to open it up, dogging kangaroos and wombats while driving into town. I had my time in Sydney. I Deejayed in the clubs and pubs of Oxford St in the 80s, a visit to Sydney these days is short, too many people. You seem to like it and that's ok, enjoy it, all the best.
Finding and making friends in Sydney is extremely hard. Sydney born and bred - I got out and used to go out with some friends on Friday nights to Bears @ the Beresford. That was 1999 to 2023 - and then my friends all coupled up. That was it - over all. At 59 - I got out of Sydney 4 yrs ago - own place out Central West - but trying to find anyone new here is close to impossible. Best of luck living in Sydney : expensive and it's about meeting on apps (with the bars closed / gone).
At least they were still around. I lived through the 70's & 80's. I knew at least 100 people. Something was always happening and then we got hit with a huge "truck" - AID's. In less than one year the number of people I knew were about 4 or maybe 5. Many died and some moved "back home" and some just seemed to disappear. Everywhere was unsafe - not just sexually. People got beat up just for being gay; some even killed. And that was San Francisco!

I lived a lot like you did in London. But I always wanted to live with someone. I wish I could have just enjoyed living alone and being young. You do that and you know how great it can be.
@@joeyroey That's it. Enjoy the advantages of being alone, or being with someone. But either way enjoy your younger years, because suddenly you find they have gone. And after you are young, just enjoy every day as every day is a gift.
Hey bud. Check out the writing of Bella DePaul. She's an advocate of "single at heart". I came to San Francisco in 1983 right out of college, and have lived the single life here since 1988. It's been absolutely fantastic and wouldn't trade it for anything.

I think the issue for many people is they equate being alone with being lonely. Sometimes the loniest place is in a crowd. If you have a good circle of friends then living alone isn't really an issue.

Hello 🌹 I love love love living alone , don’t need the drummer in my life , I am very happy in my own space , ❤ keep going and keep living and be happy 😊✌️
There is nothing wrong with living alone. I've been alone for the majority of my adult life. I've given up on finding a soulmate and that's the way the cookie crumbles.
I've been living alone for 25+ years and I intend to keep it that way. I'm not a relationship person I'm a mateship person because I've always falling out of love because I'm stubborn and I like to do things my way. I've worked full time for about the same time I've held my employment and payed my taxes. When I travel the world, I buy campervans and sleep in them then when I leave that country, I sell it and use the money to buy another vehicle at the next country destination and so on. I dine myself out to cafe's and whatever restaurant's tickle my fancy. So yeah, I'm happy with just me and my mates.
Love the chill background music - so soooothing!! My jaw dropped to the floor when you said your rent is $520 per week!! That's insane for 1 person!! I hope you don't mind me asking, what do you do to be able to afford that?
My rent is $500/week, $520 is the one I was inspecting. But yes it’s still expensive. Can you believe that’s actually lower end price for a 1 bedroom in Sydney? It’s usually $700-800/ week. Crazy! I work as a registered nurse
