Amari is to die for!! And he's such a great supportive friend. This was a really sweet movie. Just goes to show: "When one door closes a window opens." Just keep your heart open to the possibilities.
"Shut up! This is my story, okay." I love it! Very well-written, a great script, and the cast are so natural, altogether a first rate production. Looking forward to seeing more. Amari is the best friend everyone needs. He is 100% supportive of trying to help Carlos be brave. It's not easy, especially when you're shy, have low self-esteem, or any doubts about who you are asking out. The fact that Amari helped Carlos to just get it out there was awesome. It's even amazing that he was supportive with the result. This was a beautiful story. Seriously, this short story was well played and so relatable to many of us who have felt this way or been in this situation on all fronts.
and I like the character because every time there is a gay story all the characters are gay, instead they are literally best friends and he is not gay, I don't know if I explain myself
It just reminds me of texting my friend who moved across the country that I had a crush on a coworker. She told me to go for it and update her on my next break. I have terrible self esteem, awful social anxiety, and a bad habit of overthinking things. Safe to say, I drew the courage to ask him out, and I was very fortunate he was very sweet when he said he had a girlfriend and profusely apologized. It actually made me feel better to get it off my chest and I was able to work the rest of the day a little lighter. It sucked, but I remember saying “you never know until you try, right?” He agreed and wished me a good rest of my day. He still smiled and greeted me every day afterwards, no awkwardness. Sometimes you just have to go for it. It’ll make you feel so much better when you do, and you never truly know until you try

I hope I'll have sort of somethinf coming to my life soon. Cheers to the actors and the people who made this, you folks are amazing!
When his straight, Bi or Pansexual bestie said, "HE MIGHT BE GAY...OR BI...OR PANSEXUAL!"... As a Pansexual/PanRomantic I literally almost cried because there are sooo few avenues of inclusion for people who look at "HEARTS NOT PARTS!"... AND the guy doesn't have to autofault to being strictly gay just because another person of the same sex likes him!... I'm sooooo happy to be included in the conversation. 🥺... Awwwww, the guy who liked the guy also said, "Liking Gay culture isn't strictly a Gay persons thing!"... BL and GL Stans and allys are also included!...I know sooo many non LGBTQ+ individuals who Stan BL and GL and are Allys... Also his bestie being an Ally...Gurl! 🥺... Also the fact he mentioned how you cannot always tell someone is Gay or LGBTQ+...Yes! We all talk about Gaydar and that's a thing, but ESPECIALLY with woman it's hard to tell because woman compliment each other on their outfits or hair or make-up often and they still aren't doing anything but pointing something out they like...So, it's REALLY hard to use your Gaydar on woman or Trans Woman. 🤷♀️ 🤷♂️... Gurl, YES!..."DON'T WAIT FOR THE RIGHT TIME, MAKE THE RIGHT TIME!"... Quotebof the week! 😎🥰😎... WAAAAA! THAT TWIST ENDING! 😳🥰
This was WONDERFUL. The song, "Get to you"...the close friendship...the awkward crush....the feeling of being completely understood and supported...the feeling of being completely unseen and an outcast...the discovery that feeling unattractive obscures how attractive you are to others...from the very start to the end with the girl with the lollipop compounding the awkwardness, it t felt like a modern day John Hughes film. So sweet. I so love when we can see LGBTQ relationships evolve from tragedy to just the normal, terrible, beautiful experience of just growing up.
This is just such a great work and actors and music and place and how Carlos's steps hit the bit on 7:07. So comforting. Definitely gonna rewatch that time to time.
Top of the line movie!!! Writing, acting, editing. And sound, which seems to be the biggest pitfall in so many YT gay-themed movies. The smile I had throughout was because, how many of us have Been There Done That? Or just been there and didn't do that? Thank goodness for Ari! I wondered if the guy was going to figure out if he was being stalked, and (politely) confront Carlos. No matter, I'm bookmarking this one to watch again and tell friends to watch, too.
This was so great. I love the way it's shot, all the angles and close-ups really pulled you in. Love Amari. Their dynamic gave me life. Also, library/book store setting for the win!
I f’n loved this movie. Brought back so many memories for me trying to pick up guys at B&N. I have the biggest smile on my face after watching it. I’d love for this to be a series on Netflix or some streaming service. Great job to everyone involved with this 👏 👏👏
this is actually wellness. no big deal, the right one will come/stay/comeback/leave. life is weird, we should not force it, be balanced, and go with the flow. such a good portrayal of characters! GOOD JOB!
That was so awesome! Really well done to all the cast and crew! I loved the range of emotions and the funny scenes, and you really used the B&N store to create really cool shots!!
Absolutely love this! Okay, so this is me... There's guy I met at the coaching institute when I was preparing for medical entrance exam. He had a great masculine physique and a charming personality. I was drawn to him from the first day. I would watch him secretly and admire him whenever I could. Gradually, I developed feelings for him. But I couldn’t just stare at him forever. So, decided why not sit beside him? He sat at the back bench, where there were many empty seats. That’s how we started talking. We had a lot in common, especially our academic interests. He was kind, gentle, and helpful. His soft voice always made me smile. He was so cool. We became good friends and loved to chat about random things. I enjoyed every moment with him. But our time together was limited. The coaching was coming to an end soon. I wanted to tell him how much I liked him and how long I had been observing him. But I never did. I was afraid of his reaction. Maybe he was not into guys or maybe he was straight. I didn’t take the risk. And now I regret it. If only I had told him and faced the consequences, whatever they were.
I feel you my friend, I was in a similar situation though I actually picked up the courage to send him a text to which he never replied, though the burden is now gone I do have a lifetime of regrets inside of me, I just hope I can move on and who knows maybe he and I could unite one day, same goes for you and him.
This was just great 👍🏽 The twist was truthful as well as heartbreaking in the moment.. but the outcome was just amazing. Each character I feel can be relatable.
There really isn't anything like being stuck in your own head about talking to someone you like and once you make that first leap the rest starts to just come in its own. I never had anyone flirt with me and then I took a chance and opened myself up to flirting and now I get flirted on constantly. Loved this!
Saving this to my favorites cause I love the realism. I definitely felt his rejection! So relatable. The way another opportunity opens up for him at the end is just chefs kiss. Reminds me to keep my heart open as well.😊
Awwww I loved how Carlos was shown following Milo like a lost puppy....it was so well captured and i really liked the ending....very different and awesome acting. And I really wish I had a friend like Ari....his acting was sooooo good
I adore Ari and Carlos' friendship. Its so perfect. Its an especially great example of how even if you are friends with queer people it doesnt mean you yourself are queer and I think we need more healthy examples of that :]
scriptwriting: 9/10 the flow of the story made me excited plot: 10/10 the build up is so raw that I feel every emotions dialogue: 10/10 wits and wordplays are mind-blowing acting:10/10 the way they present the dialogues made it so raw directing: 9/10 force the viewer to examine every detail of the short film cinematography:10/10 camera angles, spaces, and subtle representation are great musical: 9/10 I love how they reinforce the song background to complement with the cinematography overall: 9.57/10
So stinking cute and relatable. Love Ari, he's such a supportive friend/wingman and funny too. He was so personally offended. I'm glad Carlos plucked up the courage to ask Milo out. Lol couldn't be me.
I really enjoyed this. Short but sweet; not too cheesy with just the right amount of humor and emotion. And I'm always a sucker for a realistic/more hopeful ending than a fairy tale one.

there's always somebody for everyone :) so just take the rejection and move on to more compatible ones rather than being sad about it , I love how realistic this short film is.
The way the camera moves and the placement of the actors according to the book genres is brilliant.
Awww my gosh I loved this short film. Ari is such a great supportive friend, more people like him needs the world! Even if Carlos didn't get it with the first guy he got a second opportunity. I hope I'll have sort of somethinf coming to my life soon. Cheers to the actors and the people who made this, you folks are amazing!
Lo necesitamos jejej un gran amigo como ari!!!
“Where y’all magazine’s at” KILLED ME
I can't stop smiling love this story so so much, that was so realistic and just amazing! The actors is so talented. Thank you😭❤️
A dithering, insecure and childish man is unattractive and not a catch. Only a fool or another man with a lot of problems would get involved.
Rejection isn’t the end of the world. It sucks, but there are many other someones out there! Nice short film. 😁
This is a really good story, very human, funny, with a strong hide message and good people doing it. I was so excited. CONGRATS.
Just me or did anyone find the music perfectly fitting and damn good!? That synth is irresistibly catchy!!
Fun fact: the song "Get to You" by Dogjoy, which plays both during the opening scene and end credits, was created specifically for the film
Omg this was so cute!! Worth the wait. Thank you all for your hard work!
first I was like “why would he compliment his eyes if not interested 💀😭” but then realised this is life!! like this is so realistic i actually love it
Netflix really should buy this story
Especially The sound at starting felt like a Netflix film already!
Great cast and they did great job
I've never asked anyone out, that ish is terrifying. Kudos to you, Carlos!
How where you born
Oh God!!Amari got me everytime he shows up on screen and tbh every character was amazing and ofc their performance was on point🖤
Thank you so much 🥹🥹🥹🙏🏾❤️
When his straight, Bi or Pansexual bestie said, "HE MIGHT BE GAY...OR BI...OR PANSEXUAL!"...

Just a well rounded short - great acting, cute characters, realistic dialogues, captivating cinematography - thanks for that!
The world needs more Ari's and all Ari's deserve happiness.
Not even joking this is literally the cutest thing I’ve see in a while
I’ve waited for so long to be able to watch this and it definitely exceeded my expectations!
Everyone needs a friend like Ari. I have one and she definitely pushes me to do all the things that scare the crap out of me.
Great job to everyone involved with this 👏 👏👏
💚💚💚
this is actually wellness. no big deal, the right one will come/stay/comeback/leave. life is weird, we should not force it, be balanced, and go with the flow. such a good portrayal of characters! GOOD JOB!
Jeez, that's a nice B&N.
When he walking backwards up the escalator. 🤣
Aww this was gorgeous, I love his nervousness and his friend being such an awesome wingman. This was lovely little slice of life story. Congrats
Sometimes we are just so caught up on what an ideal partner should look like and not notice the people that could be good for us. 👌
That was so awesome! Really well done to all the cast and crew! I loved the range of emotions and the funny scenes, and you really used the B&N store to create really cool shots!!
Entonces esa librería si existe?? Me encantó parecía el paraíso de los amantes de los libros 👍
This was just great 👍🏽
The twist was truthful as well as heartbreaking in the moment.. but the outcome was just amazing. Each character I feel can be relatable.
The attention to detail is immaculate. "Red, White & Royal Blue" (@9:35).
There really isn't anything like being stuck in your own head about talking to someone you like and once you make that first leap the rest starts to just come in its own. I never had anyone flirt with me and then I took a chance and opened myself up to flirting and now I get flirted on constantly. Loved this!
I have chills! I've never had a film capture my breathe and hold me captive
Ari is such a nice guy. Man I wish straight guys in real life were as cool as him
Yoooo Forreal man
Saving this to my favorites cause I love the realism.

So grad to finally see this, so good!! It killed me when she asked where the magazines were 😂, great direction and editing!
Nice job! I really love the clerk’s willingness to go for what he wants.
This made me smile like an idiot the whole time. I related to the awkwardness and uncertainty, the last scene was so adorable
I love that somehow, I am getting GRAVITATION vibes, like this gay friend duo energy!
This is such an adorable filmed. this needs to be a full feature film.
adante is danderously talented and why does everone in his films act so well😭😭❤️❤️
This is amazingly directed and the actors were awesome
11 years in and we have a home together my partner and I. I was never the timid and shy one. Amari is gorgeous and a true friend to Carlos. Great movie.
Honestly can’t wait. Seems like it’ll be funny and cute and just- adorable. Cant wait
When the lady asked where were the magazines, while literally standing right in front of them, ACTUALLY HAPPENS.
I've expected a beautiful story, but it was beyond my expectations 🌈and Nicholas Di Prima's acting was outstanding 💜🤍
