What a gem of a series. Until an hour ago I ah no idea of its existence. Back in the early 1990's I was working all hours I could for a deposit on a flat. I am familiar with Rumpole which I enjoyed but this very good. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for this Major D! I still don't know how, but I completely missed this programme when it was aired. The lovely Jan, plus the bonus of the wonderful Richard Wilson. Great stuff! Cheers.
@@majordolbyscat I am very grateful. I saw some -- I don't think all -- of this series when it was first aired, and have been looking for it ever since. Look forward to you continuing to feed the beast! From the same era, there was a wonderful Aussie series called Embassy -- again, saw some, not enough. Any chance?
Richard Wilson the lucky old dog working with Jan in her mid length hair years. Cheers major all the best to you, you said there was some Jan gems still to come and confound it sir your a man who says what he means.
Superb acting & quality story aside, I've an admiration for forgers of beautiful art, they are still artisans regardless of their reputation. What is worse is a fake painting, or a rogue art dealer, who knowingly takes thousands/ millions for a painting when they know full well the provenance of the painting. Caveat emptor is the maxim that should never be overlooked, when handing over hard earned money.
@@majordolbyscat This was TV at its best. When broadcasters were brave and before they started scraping the bottom of the barrel. Thanks for posting these gems, it’s appreciated. I’m in the studio on Saturday evening but will check into the live stream later.
Richard Wilson is great and the rest as well, terrific series. Thank you for postings.
