Hey Jack! It’s Paige and Mark from The Anchor! We have had the pub for 5 months and started to take the pub to its full potential! Thanks for featuring us in your video of Faversham! Loving the content, please drop us an email we would love to have yourself and a friend in for lunch one afternoon on us! We have a fantastic head chef I’m sure you will love the food!
Really enjoyed your whistle stop video tour of Faversham. Have lived here for 20 years and I love it! The only place I've lived with a real sense of community. So many great characters in this town, some of whom are sadly, no longer with us, but there are still plenty more! Come back again.
Thank you for showing how you don’t need to walk very far from the built up areas, to find the peace and beauty of nature - one of the many reasons why I am so glad I moved to Fav!
Discovered your channel with my girlfriend on Friday before we went to Hastings and are hooked by how casual and laid back the videos are! We're both exploring the countryside more so are bound to visit some of these places 😊

I'm sure I am not the first to say but you really do sound like Noel Fielding - and it is nice to hear the estuary accent once more (I grew up on the Dengie Peninsular and hearing you gently speak takes me back to there). Living in the US but using videos like yours to soften the homesickness until it is time to come live back home. Happy to have subscribed and looking forward to more, Jack.

A shame you missed the Abbey Physic garden and the Old Grammar School behind Abbey Street. Some of the old Thames barges moored on the creek. Last week you could have gone onboard the Repertor which was accessible due to Open Faversham week. This weekend is the most popular weekend of all for many people. It is the Hop Festival which is worth its own video. It’s a long weekend of live music on 5/6 stages around town from Preston Street to Standard Quay plus virtually every pub will have a stage in their garden, plus a small parade Sat/Sun morning. It’s not for everyone though due to silly behaviour by a few and maybe loud music.
Wasn't sure if you were being sarcastic about Faversham at first then realised you were serious. Tescos was the old Whitbread Brewery. On the outskirts of Faversham is the Brogdale Farm where research is carried out into apples and pears and has the National collection f the fruit. Interesting video.
Soon you will not be able to drive anywhere from Faversham. The roads were designed for horses and carts. With all the building of houses on going soon you won't be able to move. Ok for you to show the good bits, but you need to live here to see the cons.
@@LUCIANAIBVA if you visit Faversham on a Saturday you can join an informative walk. The history walk includes pointing out the pub in Tanner Street ( the oldest street in town) where Nelson paid his sailors.😀

@@grahamcook9289 ha ha I did not see Bob but I’ll do another video one time going looking for him 😄
A shame you missed the Abbey Physic garden and the Old Grammar School behind Abbey Street.
Thanks for your comment Anne and for the helpful info, much appreciated. Hop Festival sounds great and I’m sad I missed it! Maybe next year
@@jackryanmiller it’s 31st August and 1st September - you haven’t missed it!
It has a great visitor centre open 7 days a week and an original Magna Carta on display inside.
Cheers Scott I’m sure I saw the visitor centre although I didn’t go in, sounds great though
Wasn't sure if you were being sarcastic about Faversham at first then realised you were serious. Tescos was the old Whitbread Brewery. On the outskirts of Faversham is the Brogdale Farm where research is carried out into apples and pears and has the National collection f the fruit. Interesting video.
Ha ha I am deadpan usually so no one can tell if I’m being sarcastic or not, thanks for the info sir 😄
I've lived here for 21 years
It looks a lovely place to live!
ThatTudor building on the quay was an original warehouse so I was told
Ahh well it’s an amazing building for a warehouse !
I live there, good place
Looks a great place to live
St Mary’s church is lovely , the spire is unusual
Yes! That spire really is unique !
😎
James II escaped from Faversham to France in 1689. I just thought you might like to know that.
I had no idea, thanks a lot!
its great to learn more as well as have a laid back vlog tour
Really enjoyed watching this video.
Thank you Wendy
The birds are Moorhens 😊
Cheers, the moorhens were very cute
Jack Ward, who was the real Captain Jack Sparrow, was born in Faversham . True story!
Aha that’s so cool !
@@jackryanmillerbrilliant 👍
The Tesco was the old brewery
Thanks Carl
If you're feeling "squiffy " after three pints stick to lemonade or lager.
I’d be even more squiffy after 3 lemonades
My old flat at around 2:40
Tescos used to be
Another brewery whitbread.
That’s a shame a classic building like that turned into a Tesco
You should investigate the urban myth that Bob Geldof lives in Faversham. Has anyone ever seen him in Faversham?
He does indeed live in Faversham and can often be seen walking around the town.
Many years ago, I worked at his house, it was semi-detached to a church!
@@mikdavies5027 Was he effing and blinding all the time? 🤣
@@grahamcook9289. No, not to my knowledge, but he had "filed" his gold discs to the cupboard under the stairs. 😀😀
👋🏻 Hello. We enjoy The Bear.
I need to go there next time 😱
Moorhen.
Thank you !
Soon you will not be able to drive anywhere from Faversham. The roads were designed for horses and carts. With all the building of houses on going soon you won't be able to move. Ok for you to show the good bits, but you need to live here to see the cons.
That is very sad to hear
are there any facts about historical buildings and heritage in these walking videos ?
I’m afraid not, but I know there’s loads of great videos out there focused on the history 😄
@@LUCIANAIBVA if you visit Faversham on a Saturday you can join an informative walk. The history walk includes pointing out the pub in Tanner Street ( the oldest street in town) where Nelson paid his sailors.😀
listen mate , you better STFU about how great this last little gem in Kent is, Do you realise how close to London and all those monied weekend warriors we are? . I am not kidding point youre camera somewhere else. Ive heard the Medway Towns are nice , especially Rochester and Chatham and they are closer to London. You have been warned . Do not listen to all those idiots in the comments inviting you down for the "Hop Festival " either, it's a waste of bloody time no one ever turns up, and it sometimes rains. Go away .
Thanks for the comment
If you liked Faversham’s historic buildings, why not try Sandwich for your next jaunt around the Garden of England.
Thanks very much I’ll definitely be doing that in the new year 😃
A bit juvenile, actually impressed with "water" "a street" "actual ducks" " a pub" " a car park" "a butchers shop" "a dog" Sorry.
Apology accepted
Crap town .
