  • In this video we move ewe lambs home to the shed for pregnancy scanning and have a look at the ration they will be fed in the run up to lambing with a breakdown of the ingredients included.

    Impressive scanning results but surely with a bit of meal the ewe lambs should rear the twins ok they look in find fettle 👍

      Hi Paul. Absolutely, they will rear them no problem but I think it's like leaving a triplet on an older sheep. Just need some extra tlc....👍

    Being outside with dad is life learning. What is dogs name? She’s fabulous. Looks like lost of your sheep are textiles or textile crosses? Do the ewes get dry hay as well?

      No problem...👌 Dog is called Pops, she is great. Only get grass when they are outside. Will get silage when they move indoors for lambing...

      Have always fed Kiernan 20% nuts in run up to lambing

      Yes sheep are different to cattle, they can digest all whole grains without passing them...

      Made all the penning myself. Couldn't buy exactly what I wanted. Didn't like the permanent walk through troughs...

      Depends really on current price of different grains. Not much saving but all good quality with no filler/rubbish in it.

    Jesus there some lambs from grass my hogget would be nearly the same size ya clipping them as lambs is a great job don't get caught in the briar's in the forestry winter grazing North leitrim style 🤣🤣🤣

      They do a great thrive after shearing if you've good grass for them....👌
