The Target defines the test. Seeing an expandable hold up after hitting bone is impressive, good job to you and your team! As others have said it would be cool to see the same test with a 65 or 70lb bow.

I saw it shot out of a kid's bow with 4 pounds of draw weight, by Josh' son, and it still deployed. I will be buying these for my next hunting trip in the US.
@@nickolaichristiansen3558 I saw that as well, and yes it deployed (and stuck in the target about an inch if even that). I'm not talking about the blades deploying. I'm wanting to see penetration tests like he's done with his 90# bow but with a more standard/average bow/arrow setup.
The exact thing i wanted to see was showcased on the last shot. Blade avoids bone, broadhead isnt fully expanded again until its traveled nearly the distance of the width of the ribcage again outside. So if you "avoid" a frontside rib, you wont have full deployment until exit. I'll stick to fixed blades.
Surprised this is not a more popular topic as it seems very obvious it took at least 6 inches to redeploy after folding from the bone.. it would almost be out of the cavity if the close side ribs were hit.
@mike44442 doesnt fit the narrative they want to push, so they try to distract you with everything else. As for me, this was exactly what my biggest concern was, and glaringly obvious in this test. 900mph spring is a joke, thats 1378 fps. So if its true, and say the arrow is still going 300fps, that blade would have been fully deployed much quicker 😅

That is one of the best ways I’ve seen to test Broadhead wow awesome video and to show all the haters this is a man has made a great product and is proud of his products and really showing what these heads can do I’ve got mine in and this video just makes me that much more confident to take these broadheads into the woods this year
That’s awesome, I do agree with some others about shooting the test with lower lb bows like 50,60,70# just to show everyone that it still performs as advertised. Great video 👊🏻
I bought a pack last week, they look great, and I’m looking forward to trying them out this season! Practice point flew beautifully, hoping the actual heads fly the same (assuming so seeing Josh lob these crazy shots in Africa…) Love the “bone deflection” design. Also, the very tips of these are insanely pointy! It’s exciting to see innovation and I absolutely hope these broadheads are a winner. 6 weeks away here in WI !!!!
@@jayseale3609 I agree that 300fps is a pretty common hunting speed... but in my experience, its actually too fast and I find that 280 is the sweet spot. I find that anywhere between 270-290fps is a good range. All my best hunting setups have been in this range and all of my target setups are in this range. There is a reason the best shooters in the world do not rip arrows at 320fps... things get too finicky at those speeds and inconsistencies in equipment and form become more noticeable. Its almost like the bow is half way into a dry fire because they are pushing such little arrow weight. Its also why bows shooting super high speeds are loud and can sound crappy.... If you are not hellbent on speed like some people are these days, then 280fps is hard to beat for all round performance. The bow is happy, arrow is happy, and deers are dead. For what its worth, I am not a "heavy arrow" guy either. I hear that's what the ranch fairy crowd is all about... IMO there is always a middle ground that gives you great all round performance while maintaining great accuracy. The internet is full of garbage in regards to archery i have learned. Even many of the big influencers are lacking on things. It can be a challenge to quantify any verifiable differences between setups in accuracy or forgiveness if you cant at least shoot an indoor 300 round .... but, like I said, don't listen to the internet or my little rant... try everything yourself and verify things. Good luck this coming season.
Hi from South Africa Growing up and shooting and hunting with bow for over 20 years I've grown up only using fixed blades because early mechanicals were not as effective on African game but after seeing your cape buffalo and giraffe videos im defiantly looking at getting my hands on these. Just watching all these videos is converting me from only using fixed blades😂

Ordered mine today 🤘🤘. Had to switch to a crossbow this year due to a shoulder injury, and have been trying to find a good broadhead to shoot with my 425 fps Hyper Raptor BCX.
I would like to see this same test with a much slower bow, maybe 55-60 lb. Either way awesome video and can't wait to see some more videos with that new camera.

I can honestly say that ive never seen any broadhead company go to these lengths to promote their product and ive watched countless videos on broadhead reviews as well as companies trying to sell their own product, this video here is truly amazing on showcasing the effectiveness of these broadheads..Quit hating on this man for trying to bring a product to the Archery industry that he knows is always up for discussion on whats the best broadhead. Josh is very passionate about performance and if you watch his channel you would know this, he spent YEARS on developing this broadhead so we all could benefit from having another option in a mechanical broadhead and i commend him for that, if you want to hate on him then let me ask what you have done for the Archery industry lately??
Everything about the Broadhead works the exact same out of lower poundage bows. Obviously the higher the poundage the more penetration you get, but in terms of functionality, it’s the exact same

Nice broadhead. I love the evolution broadheads have taken. Rock to steal one piece. To aluminum multi piece mechanical cheap crap back to one piece cut on contact tough heads to now people are designing mechanical heads that are tough and take on issues facing mechanicals. I love my VPA 2 blades but I’m not against anything that will hold together and sharp. Great job

Please do this with a 60-70 pound bow. I get mechanically everything should work the same as a 90 pound bow but I promise you’ll have more people interested in this broad head if they can relate more closely with their set ups.
This is a good test but I would definitely like to see how it performs with lower poundage bows. Showing basically the worst case scenario and possible ribs that simulate an elks? It would be cool to see that data.

I just spent $64 on a two pack lol But after seeing how sharp they still were after the first shot I should be able to take at least two deer per head. Awesome stuff congratulations on a great product

Why would you use a 90# bow for the test. You should use average arrows and average bow weight. I shot a 62# bow,so I'm thinking, it works for a 90# bow but maybe it won't for my setup 🤔

What Broadhead won’t go through a deer at 60-70lbs? lol this was a function test to showcase how it works not a penetrating test. It works the exact same at any poundage. The only difference is, you get more penetration the more poundage you shoot. LIKE EVERY OTHER BROADHEAD ON THE MARKET HAHA

We need to see more tests on these with "normal person" specs, like Sarah's setup. 60-65#, 28-29" draw, 450 grain arrow, etc.

I’ve bought 2 packs so far. John Lusk video shows just how sharp they are and even more impressive was the sharpness retention.
They are the sharpest of any type he has ever tested before and after shooting them.

Smoked an elk a few hours ago with a 100gr Beast. Shooting a 65lb Lift, 300 spine VapSS. Incredible blood trails! Went maybe 40 yds.

Why would you use a 90# bow for the test. You should use average arrows and average bow weight. I shot a 62# bow,so I'm thinking, it works for a 90# bow but maybe it won't for my setup 🤔

What Broadhead won’t go through a deer at 60-70lbs? lol this was a function test to showcase how it works not a penetrating test. It works the exact same at any poundage. The only difference is, you get more penetration the more poundage you shoot. LIKE EVERY OTHER BROADHEAD ON THE MARKET HAHA
