There should be some resolution to people with roof racks running the opposite way to the rails. I had to buy some 25x25mm box sections and bolt it to my racks which i couldn't imagine the average jo being able to do without tools etc.
So annoying I bought the tub rack and the tent for my Ute and I have to have the tent opening out the back literally can’t have it opening on either side
Need more details on connecting to Crossbars, Want the tent to open up to the side. The Tent support bars run the length of the car. More detail on bolting the tent to the roof rack options is needed. Is 90KG loading cross bar sufficient?
Hi there, Unfortunately 90kg wouldn't be sufficient as you would have to take into account the person getting into the tents weight aswell. Regards, Courtney
@@4wdsupacentreAu That's strange as there are many vechiles that use the same rated roof-rack bars, Which is 90KG per bar. Times two that would be 180KG
Hey mate! It actually depends on the vehicles roof load limit, more than the cross bar limit. So first check what the roof limit is, if that’s ok and you’re using 2x 90kg crossbars it should be fine. It’s also worth considering static vs dynamic weight - most ratings are for dynamic weight which is when the vehicle is moving. It’s a lot stronger when the vehicle or the load is stationary! Cheers, Cahn
Can I change the direction of rails? I have crossbars roof rack in a Honda crv and the rails of the rooftop tent are parallel to the crossbars which make it hard to open the tent to the side of the car. Thanks
Hey guys, I love my RTT however I have some issues with it. I have email head office many times heard nothing back. I want to get it fixed ASAP. Can some one help?
