My favorite in Cincinnati is Holtmans. Never had one that I didn't love. They make an Oreo doughnut that is amazing.

I live less then 15 minutes away from Eastgate and I have never eaten at that donut place. The Meijer store that you were at if you would come out at the light and turn left and at the very end of the road there is a Busken and their donuts are delicious but they are closed on Sunday. The kettle donuts are a flaky more buttery flavor. Good to know I’m not really missing anything with these donuts 😊
Aww! It’s too bad they are closed on Sundays. That’s the day we always go.

Omg!!! I totally agree with you about the Krispy Kreme raspberry filled doughnuts… however, I feel like they’ve been skimping on the amount of filling lately… and the donuts have definitely shrunk in size…
The last few times we had Krispy Kreme, they weren’t as good as years ago.
I’m definitely a Donut 🍩 lover and love trying any donut I come across. The ones you tried definitely looked good but you could tell the doughnut was not a soft texture. Every time we go Walmart we buy several boxes of donuts and after awhile they are not as fresh so I put in microwave and they are good. But I’m glad you got to try them and truly a fun review.

The hole in the wall doughnut places have a good variety of cake and yeast doughnuts which I like. I prefer yeast doughnuts, but it is nice to try a good cake doughnut. My favorite hole in the wall doughnut place in my area is in a little strip mall. Loving the field trip doughnut reviews. 😊

I have a WYR question for you.. If you had to choose one over the other, would you rather have cookies or donuts? I'd choose cookies 😉
Whenever I got donuts, my standby was always a glazed chocolate cake donut (though I'd opt for munchkins/donut holes).
That stinks that this place wasn't all that great, but I think I'd be bummed if I found it amazing only to be so far away...
If we had really enjoyed it, we would have gone back on our next visit. Now, we will try to find something new. I prefer the cookies from Life’s A Baatch 😍
@@TamiDunn I’ve heard great things about Silverton’s and Holtman’s… both in the Cinci area. Never tried either but friends have said they are the “best” haha. I know at least Holtman’s is on the Butler County donut trail 😅 Eager to see what y’all try next time you cross the river!

That's a bummer these didn't taste that great. I've tried cronuts at a place close to where I am and I've tried it at a place in I think it was Victoria, BC, if not it was Vancouver. They were alright, I'm still searching for better. Probably have to go to NYC.

There’s a bakery near me that makes donuts… but they aren’t like this one??? They are literally croissants deep fried and drenched in glaze… and they are beyond delicious… apple fritters can be so good when made right… I love crunchy glaze and little bursts of apple pieces… sorry these weren’t better… they do look tasty.
