I started my exchange few weeks ago here in Seoul and last week when we had our first lectures even the professors said this is the worst pollution period they've ever seen. And one of our professors mentioned that last week on one day Seoul was the most polluted place on earth if we look at the air quality. We exchange students would love to go outside and explore but it's too hard to be outside more than couple hours.. Even after an hour it gets kinda hard
Ahhh, this makes me so sad :( The whole point of being an exchange student is to explore and experience a different country. Usually the air starts to clear up a little bit more in May, but these days it seems to last almost through spring :(
I really enjoyed the segment on the older arket areas of Seoul. Sorry that you missed out on filming street food market areas at night. Maybe next time.

Im really do feel for you with the air pollution. Where i live in Australia there isnt any industrial pollution but in the last few weeks we have had 4 major bushfires in my surrounding area. And although they are becoming contained the extremely still breezes makes the smoke hang low in the air in everywhere is covered in thick smoky smog. So i hope your air quality gets better soon.

Ohhh mannn the pollution looked really bad. When we took a family trip to China many years ago, when we were in Beijing, I vividly remember the pollution, and it looked exactly like that. Probably got black soot all up in your hair and stuff? Blahhh, don't care to have to deal with that again. Legos are so fun!! And they keep getting more advanced too. I don't think I remember any different sets being able to be combined?? Thanks really cool! I want to see you guys build one haha! Ohhh man, when we visited Seoul, we stayed in Myeongdong and hit up those food carts every night! Freakin every night on those streets you'd think it's Saturday night. Sooooo many people it's endless. Did you see the really tall soft serve? $2k won for 1 (back in 2013 lol), but so good! Hit one of those karts up if you go back, so worth it!
It’s been getting worse and worse, sadly :( Really hope this rough stretch passes soon. Ahh, those giant Myeongdong ice creams are the best! I usually get the vanilla green tea swirl, and Kyuho and chocolate vanilla swirl. They’re MASSIVE!

It is called "Chinese micro dusts". Korea has never got that level of air pollution ever since it just has graduated from "Industrial phase". You can also check it from air pollution map provided by NASA. I am sorry for Korea which has two good neighbors, China and Japan which are the sources of the air pollution and the nuclear radiation.
Though a large portion of the dust definitely comes from China, there is a chunk of it that is produced domestically. Whether the dust mostly comes from China or Korea on any given day depends on the time of year. Apparently Korea’s jet stream has undergone some drastic changes in recent years as well, due to global warming. One thing is for certain, both countries need to work together to figure out a solution, because it’s only getting worse.
@@2hearts1seoul - The seasonal spring "yellow dust" is natural and comes from the winds picking up fine sand from the deserts west of Corea. There's nothing that man can do to stop that. Most of the man-made pollution is from Corea's increasing dependence on coal fired power plants as well as from vehicle emissions. If Corea would replace its power plants with modern, clean nuclear plants like France and other nations have done, they could clean up the air considerably. Good morning from California! This video is exactly why I love watching, because you share everything with us....I love your Costco trips! I especially love your family time. Sarah..... I have horrible motion sickness. I used to take pills that made me so groggy. I now use a product called “Sea Band.” They’re wrist bands that work by applying pressure to the acupressure point on the inside of each wrist by means of a little plastic stud. The best thing....they’re drug free and they work! I was able to remain on a cruise ship, because of this product. You can get them on Amazon and I encourage you to research them. You just have to make sure you place them on your wrists properly.

Put 3 fingers starting at the base of your palm, you can feel that sinewy line right underneath your pointer finger. That’s where you have to place the button, when wearing the wrist bands. People have said “they don’t work, it’s all in your head!” No, it’s not! I know how I am with motion sickness! The first day of our cruise-many years ago...... I didn’t have them placed properly. I was sick and crying the entire first night, begging my husband to get me off the ship to go home. It was going to cost us too much money to disembark, so I had to suffer. When we visited the first port, the next day. I was able to walk to the nearest pharmacy and ask the pharmacist why the bands weren’t working. Her exact words were “oh honey, you don’t have them on right.” She moved them down-just a bit. Sarah.....from that point forward-I forgot that I was on a cruise ship! I was able to walk around and best of all-enjoy the yummy food! Sorry for this long reply..... I’m just a true believer in the bands. Praying that they work for you!!!
Is pollution a seasonal thing? My husband and I plan to be in South Korea in late May and are slightly worried about the air quality 😕 hopefully it’s not as bad as it’s been this past week!
It used to be a seasonal thing with mainly just yellow dust early in the spring. Now it seems it’s on and off throughout the week from winter through spring... :(

It is called "Chinese micro dusts".
Korea has never got that level of air pollution ever since it just has graduated from "Industrial phase". You can also check it from air pollution map provided by NASA. I am sorry for Korea which has two good neighbors, China and Japan which are the sources of the air pollution and the nuclear radiation.
Though a large portion of the dust definitely comes from China, there is a chunk of it that is produced domestically. Whether the dust mostly comes from China or Korea on any given day depends on the time of year.
Apparently Korea’s jet stream has undergone some drastic changes in recent years as well, due to global warming. One thing is for certain, both countries need to work together to figure out a solution, because it’s only getting worse.

@@2hearts1seoul - The seasonal spring "yellow dust" is natural and comes from the winds picking up fine sand from the deserts west of Corea. There's nothing that man can do to stop that. Most of the man-made pollution is from Corea's increasing dependence on coal fired power plants as well as from vehicle emissions. If Corea would replace its power plants with modern, clean nuclear plants like France and other nations have done, they could clean up the air considerably. @@tanzanable Korea belongs to the top-tier nuclear tech countries which can build nuclear powerplants for other countries. Of course they still do it. The point is not about the seasonal yellow dust from Chinese desert but the toxic air pollution from the industrial complexes in the mainland China.

Good morning from California! This video is exactly why I love watching, because you share everything with us....I love your Costco trips! I especially love your family time. Sarah..... I have horrible motion sickness. I used to take pills that made me so groggy. I now use a product called “Sea Band.” They’re wrist bands that work by applying pressure to the acupressure point on the inside of each wrist by means of a little plastic stud. The best thing....they’re drug free and they work! I was able to remain on a cruise ship, because of this product. You can get them on Amazon and I encourage you to research them. You just have to make sure you place them on your wrists properly.
OH MY WORD, I had no idea such a thing exists, but I’m pretty much willing to try anything at this point! Thank you so much for the tip! 👍
2hearts1seoul.....I totally get it Sarah! If you look at the inside of your wrist-palm side up. Put 3 fingers starting at the base of your palm, you can feel that sinewy line right underneath your pointer finger. That’s where you have to place the button, when wearing the wrist bands. People have said “they don’t work, it’s all in your head!” No, it’s not! I know how I am with motion sickness! The first day of our cruise-many years ago...... I didn’t have them placed properly. I was sick and crying the entire first night, begging my husband to get me off the ship to go home. It was going to cost us too much money to disembark, so I had to suffer. When we visited the first port, the next day. I was able to walk to the nearest pharmacy and ask the pharmacist why the bands weren’t working. Her exact words were “oh honey, you don’t have them on right.” She moved them down-just a bit. Sarah.....from that point forward-I forgot that I was on a cruise ship! I was able to walk around and best of all-enjoy the yummy food! Sorry for this long reply..... I’m just a true believer in the bands. Praying that they work for you!!!

Is pollution a seasonal thing? My husband and I plan to be in South Korea in late May and are slightly worried about the air quality 😕 hopefully it’s not as bad as it’s been this past week!
It used to be a seasonal thing with mainly just yellow dust early in the spring. Now it seems it’s on and off throughout the week from winter through spring... :(

The idea of building Lego in a TH-cam vid would be awesome & fun!!!! I saw it already on Insta with a famous Russian/international (I don't know the man's nationality) couple. They built the Taj Mahal Lego. I was stunned. And both were involved. I loved it!!!

해마다 한국의 3~4월은 중국 사막에서 불어오는 계절풍의 영향으로 황사가 심합니다.. 미세먼지와 황사가 섞이면서 더 심해지는 거죠.
