2hearts1seoul here in the Philippines it is not that common to use sheet sets. What average households usually have are only the fitted bottom sheet and the blanket. Funny thing is is that some usually use the top sheet as their blanket. Yes I know it might be too thin, but it is usually sufficient enough if you’re just using a fan in the room and not an AC. It works perfectly for this hot and humid all year weather. However, there are other households that use sheet sets as well.
In Nepal, we have a thing called quilt, its very heavy filled with cotton, and we cannot make it dirty because it would be almost impossible to wash ,so we put a thin white cover to the whole quilt and if the white cover gets dirty we just wash that , with the blanket which is more sexy in my view and mostly its imported from Korea and Korean blankets are very famous in Nepal as its very warm, with blankets some like to put white cover, some don't because if they put cover in the sexy blanket, they don't get to experience the warmth of blanket, so I guess it also depends on the person , Asia has almost similar culture whereas North America ,Canada and USA or UK also share the same culture especially with the white people, as people in the west value more convenience and luxury over money, so they get everything to make life physically easy whereas Asia is good at spiritual stuff and people in Asia are still poor, so people don't buy a lot of stuff . Well, Japan and Korea is definitely rich so they do a lot of things so much different than other Asian countries.
I'm from Singapore and we do not use the top sheet culture Sarah is talking about :). I think it's an asian thing, we mainly only have the bedsheet set (bedsheet, pillow case and bokster cases)...
I live in Denmark and I have never seen any of my friends or family use those sheets. We only use the fitted sheets on the bottom and then a duvet. The duvet does have a sheet around it, kind of like a pillow case, so in that way it is easier to take off and wash.
I've been wanting to get a duvet cover for my king size comforter that I use during the colder months but they're so expensive! Sometimes they even cost more than the comforter itself.
If you're in the US, have you tried places like TJ Maxx, Marshall's or Home Goods? They sell them heavily discounted. I got Ralph Lauren ones for much cheaper than the original price.
We don't do the top sheet thing here in the UK either. It's weird to us and not even in most hotels here either unless in the capital where a lot of foreigners come through
I totally agree!!!!! Especially in winter, the top sheet just so cold and I personally don't like the texture? lol. I guess that's why all those soft material type of blankets (극세사) are popular in Korea.
I'm from the US and when I was growing up my mom tried to force the top/flat sheet as a necessary piece of bedding but I HATED them and still do. They never seem to stay in place and always end up bunched up at the end of the bed or wrapped around my leg or something, but maybe I move around in my sleep more than the average person. It is a pain in the ass to wash my huge winter comforter but I still can't use a top/flat sheet, lol.
Yep same! I'm from the US as well and I remember as a kid when my mom would make my bed with the top sheet I would always take it out and just sleep with my blanket ever since. Usually by the time I wake up my blanket is halfway off the bed anyway lol but at the end of the day, the usage is just a preference I think
im from the us and im the same way, i HATE having a top sheet. i prefer sleeping in a cold environment and a lot of the times it just isnt cold enough so having a duvet AND a top sheet is ridiculous, i always kick them off to the end of the bed or they fall out from under the duvet. its too much of a hassle.
It definitely is a cleaner option to have the top sheet. Plus, blankets and comforters can make you sweat more--because they are fuzzy, but a top sheet keeps you fresh with high quality cotton. It smells fresh from the laundry! Most people only wash their blankets every month or so, and that would be gross to sleep with a dirty blanket over you!
In America, sheet blanket is a must. It’s too much to clean your quilt or thicker blanket every week. The sheet blanket keeps the heavier blankets clean for longer. Plus if it’s too hot during summer, it’s light and comfortable and it also adds a layer of during the winter.
I'm Korean American, and I like that top sheet. Blankets don't get washed as often as the top sheet and so you need it to buffer your blankets from all the shed skin and sweat. Mites eat your dead skin and poop in your blankets all the time (google it. it's a thing). It's nice thinking that some of that gets washed off with a top sheet. Duvets work as well. When staying in Korea with aunts and uncles, I notice they sometimes used a top sheet too, so I don't think all Koreans avoid top sheets.
I am from Finland and top sheet sounds so 1900s, i use duvet cover ( where you but blanket inside) to my blanket and of course one blanket per sleeper. plus you have doubletime to use before washing.
I noticed that in a lot of kdramas too. I just figured it was cultural. I'm from the US and have always used a bottom sheet and a top sheet. Like Sarah said it keeps oils from your skin from getting onto your bedspread, blankets and/or quilts so you don't have to wash the heavier items as often. Also, if you get hot at night and kick off the blankets you still have a sheet to cover with to keep a draft off of you.
I think in Europe there’s a third category to this whole sheet+blanket discourse: we have duvet covers (like a pillow case but for your duvet) But when I visited my friend in Korea four years ago I distinctly remember him having the same duvet cover 🤔
I'm a Korean American gal. My Portuguese husband and I have argued about the sheets too, because I never grew up using them (only experienced them in hotels and I would accidentally sleep on top of the sheet). Now I like having sheets, to preserve the softness of my nice blankies.
in Argentina we use the fitted and top sheets, then depending on the season we add just a duvet or just a thinner cover or pile on blankets during winter. but in summer you need that top sheet... not everyone has AC running (it's expensive) so you need something light to cover yourself with at night.
In Sweden (and probably many parts of Europe) we use, what we call, a 'påslakan'. It's a sheet that encases the blanket/duvet, just like your pillow case.
Definitely need a top sheet under a blanket. But when we lived in Switzerland for a year, we slept with only a duvet with a duvetcover. We had 2 of those covers and switched them and washed them with the bedding. It was very nice also.
in Hungary, Europe we usually have duvet under the blanket, the duvet has a "duvet case", it has a sheet material, you can put inside your duvet, it works just as a pillowcase for a pillow, so don't need to worry about it sliding down or becoming a mess, and its super cozy^^
I recommend a duvet instead and covers. Its so much better and in the wintertime, so warm, fluffy and cosy. The blankets is so thin. I change the covers once a week and its really easy to wash them together with the pillow casing and sheets.
Hello guys! I love watching your videos 😊 I have a similar story and I only discovered that my boyfriend (Korean) didn’t know about the top sheets also, because of your video! I am Portuguese and here we also have the top sheets, so one day Yoon was laying down on top of those sheets and I asked why he was doing that, he answered he didn’t know about them and I said he should go under them. This time I didn’t realise he completely didn’t know about them because they (Koreans) didn’t have it. So one other time, we went to sleep in a friend’s house and he was ready to sleep before me but he waited standing because he wanted to ask me where should he sleep, there were so many sheets/blankets/covers that he was confused and didn’t know between which ones he should sleep 😂 Then I saw your video and asked him about it. Learning new things everyday 😊 B.
Covering up with a sheet just feels so smooth and cool as opposed to a fuzzy blanket right on top of you. In the summer, I usually just cover up with my top sheet, so comfortable 🙂
I live in England and I've heard of top sheets, I just never used them. I just have a duvet and the fitted sheet. I haven't known anyone who uses a top sheet
@@marianlolaamy times visiting my girlfriend in the UK, she and her family /friends always used a flat sheet.. When we shopped for new sheets, they all had to be purchased separately through, just as the duvet covers or pillow shams were bought separately .. Maybe some just don't buy the flat?
I’m from the UK and I’ve never heard of a top sheet. When we make our beds we have the fitted sheet on the mattress and then our duvet with a duvet cover on it. Any additional blankets or cushions is a personal preference, but when you buy a bedding set in the UK you only get the fitted sheet, duvet cover, and pillow cases☺️🇬🇧
I don't use the flat sheet. I grew up Asian American, so my parents were like kyuho 😂 the first time I even rlly noticed the addition of other sheets was in a hotel, and I assumed it was them trying to be fancy. Also, I am totally digging kyuhos hair at the wedding! Much love, guys! 💙💜
Here in Portugal we have top sheets but mostly for summer and if you don't use a duvet but blankets. If you use a duvet you use a duvet cover which is like a pillowcase but bigger. Most houses use top sheets here.
Beautiful shots of nature👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Well done!!☺️. YES!!!! Have always had and must have the whole sheet set !! Fitted and flat/or top sheet. I would absolutely hate to feel the heavy blanket/comforter next to my skin. And definitely way easier on the laundry 🧺. I’m from New Jersey, USA and I believe it’s like that for most people here. Just LOVED Kyuho’s face when you first started explaining Canadian/American style bed making😂😂☺️☺️🤣🤣🤣. HAHA. Just gotta love the differences 😆. And boy was he decked out and fully equipped for a nap, man!! Earplugs, eye cover , cacoon wrapped!! Real serious napper😱👍🏻😂😂. Have a really great week and congratulations on your new mattress!!
Hi, I live in Canada, Province of Quebec and we use top sheet between the comforter or duvet cover. I will not be comfortable without it. Also washing a duvet cover is quite a job. I suppose is provided more warmness. I don't know if the habit of using top sheet or not are influenced by the climate that we live in?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 you go on & use your stupid sheets 😂😂😂😂😂 ohhhh man I can not stop laughing about that argument. We here in Germany don't commonly use such sheets. I've never saw such a combination. But your argument is so awkwardly funny & I can not stop laughing. That must be the life of a married couple. 😆
About the sheets, in Brazil the whole set are popular here, we usually buy the whole set. I don't know if it's just our family, but we just use the fitted sheet and store the top sheet and only use it when we want some light cover when it's chilly. I never thought about it being a barrier to the blankets so it wouldn't get dirty fast. Interesting!
I dont know for the whole of Europe, but I've always had a thin sheet over my fitted one. It makes it easier to not change the fitted one so often and makes it softer. However I don't have a sheet between me and the blanket as in the end it'll be shifted to the side the way I sleep. Blankets have a ''pouch/pocket'' sheet to be into so you wash those.
As an American with a thin blanket and top flat sheet, I find it hard to sleep in hotels who only have a duvet because they are so thick and I get too hot.
Going through and watching all the videos as I am a fairly new subscriber. I am with Sarah on the top sheet. It is a must. I use not only because it helps keep the blankets from getting dirty quicker, but for me as a duvet person, if I had to wash my duvet cover weekly, then the colours would fade faster and not look as nice. Loving these videos.🇨🇦
100% American and grew up using a top sheet. But my also 100% American husband did not. In the past year or so I’ve started not using a top sheet and well, I love it! Haha! It’s one less piece of fabric and I enjoy cuddling in my blanket. Kind of funny!
Sarah, I have to agree with you on the sheet's. I live in Texas but originally from Ohio. In Ohio during summer we never had a bed spread or blankets on our beds. I lived in the country "no AC" so most nights even the top sheet ended up at the end of the bed. Winter time the bed was made up fitted sheet, top sheet blankets "electric blanket when they came out" then bed spread. Sheets were washed every Saturday and blankets and bed spread were washed once a month during the week. I loved the summer time the best because we would hang the sheets outside to dry. No matter who makes it they have never been able to bottle that outdoors scent no matter how had they try. What you you say Sarah, has any makers come close in your eyes or should I say scent? I look forward every Sunday morning to see what the 3 of you have been up to. Congratulations on the new bed I pray it works out for all 3 of you. May the lord bless you and keep you. May his light shine upon you and give you peace eash day of your life. God Bless you all, Sandy
Im from the Caribbean during hot days we only use the fitted sheet and flat sheet as the blanket. For cold days or if you are a a/c user then you switch the flat sheet to a comforter.
I’m from Singapore and since young I grew up using just mattress protector, fitted bedsheet and blanket only. We don’t use an extra layer between our bedsheet and blanket. Now that u explained what the purpose of the extra sheet I knew why hotels have them. Usually I just pull both the sheet n blanket and use it together since the AC gets kinda cold in room. 😂
Yes, no use of Top sheet in Singapore. Only fitted sheet and duvet with cover which you can wash often. We are big with pillow protector, mattress protector and even another removal top pillow protector so the beautiful pillow cases look pretty when guests pop by...haha....it’s both a Science n a Art.
I do have a full sheet set with a sheet on it so I'm completely with Sarah. I can't sleep any other way. Using a blanket or comforter just gets me too hot. One thing I did notice when I was in Japan was that the blanket that you use on a bed is wrapped in a washable sheet and it's common just to remove that outer cover (which is just like a cotton cover) and wash it.
I only discovered the top sheet when I moved to America 23 years ago. From where I come from we use the top sheet as the sheet (not the fitted one coz it does not exist). Now I can't leave without the top sheet. I have to have it. In Summer time, I use the top sheet as the blanket and get rid of the blanket itself. Top sheet is a must Kyuho!
I hosted international students (in Canada) for years, from Korea, Japan and Germany. I had to explain the concept of the top sheet to them all. It ended up being part of my house 'orientation' along with how to use the dryer. Forgot all about this until you mentioned it! 😜
Hmmm. Grew up in the US. Always had a top sheet, they just come automatically in a sheet set. Fitted sheet, flat sheet, and two pillowcases. I don't think you could buy them any other way. So you were brought up to use them all when making your bed. And in the summer when it's really hot everybody kicked off the blankets and only slept under the top sheet. HOWEVER the rest of the time it was a messy kid free for all. You rolled around, kicked off the covers, than grabbed whatever you could reach when you got cold. I can't count how many times I woke up wrapped in just a blanket with the sheets on the floor. Sarah is right about the washing but a lot of people nowadays have duvets and duvet covers so you only have to wash the thinner cover and it serves the same purpose.
We protect our blankets/duvets in Romania too, usually with a sheet made for it. Our bed sheets usually contain a bed sheet (not fitted); 2 pillow covers; blanket/duvet sheet.
In the USA fitted and top sheets are the norm. In England, many people use just a fitted bottom sheet and a duvet/comforter then place a duvet cover over the top blanket/comforter. A duvet cover is a pocketed sheet cover for your comforter. One end has a zipper or buttons so you can take off the duvet cover & wash it. A duvet cover is a nice compromise.
I'm from Australia and everyone I know uses the top sheet ("flat sheet") too - always available as part of the matching set. On top of that is the duvet/quilt inside a quilt cover (what others have described as like a pillow case for the blanket). The cover can be part of the sheet set or mixed and matched with a different design. So we have fitted sheet, flat sheet, quilt inside quilt cover. I got really confused when I first lived in Japan though.. There it seems the same as in Korea.
I'm originally from Australia, and like Canadians & Americans and possibly even Europeans, we have bottom & top sheets. Also I would say most hotels seem to have top and bottom sheets too. However, having homestay students from all over Asia in our home for 15 yrs I discovered they did not understand about top & bottom sheets so I had to show them, they would do the same thing Kyuho and sleep on top of the top sheet. So I think the bottom sheet and duvet seems to be a standard throughout Asia.
Hello from USA, Arizona (four corners), Navajo Reservation. I grew up with the fitted, flat sheet and comforter. I mean they sell the comforter set without the flat sheet, but I still manage to buy the flat sheet lol. It's a must for me! Plus my mom used to work in a hotel.
When you said "Pivot," I was like "ROSS!" Then, you showed the clip. haha I love that one and the one where he tried to play bagpipes for Monica and Chandler's wedding.
I found the sheet discussion very interesting and funny:) I'm from Hawaii born and raised. We never used 'sheet sets' till my mom married my step father from the mainland. an adult I can take or leave the top sheet but now I learned from you what top sheet is for! I'm lazy and never used it as an adult but now I might consider because it is a hassle to wash blankets. It is pretty hot and humid here eight months out of twelve so 'less is more'!
I'm from the U.S. and my grandma was born and raised in Canada and she definitely does the fitted sheet, then the top sheet with normally a thin blanket (according to the weather) and then your duvet on top which she rolls down to the bottom of the bed when she goes to sleep. This has definitely been the same thing for my dad's side of the family who is all from the states and they've always used a top sheet as well. But I always find it a hassle to to do the top sheet so as an adult making my own decisions I have completely opted-out of it xD makes life so much easier when making my bed! Just take the duvet off and wash it as necessary.
lol I can so relate! My bf is Vietnamese and he doesn't use a top sheet either! I must have one, as it is how I grew up and it is what is most comfortable to me!
In Aus a standard sheet set is a fitted sheet, top sheet and pillow case, but you can buy everything separately as well. I am with Sarah on needing a top sheet. Where I live in Aus gets really hot and humid in summer so the top sheet functions as a light blanket because everything else is too heavy (and is usually packed away by that point)
In Bulgaria we use a sheet set (the sheet over the matress and a top one in which we put the blanket). And in summer instead of a blanket we use only the top sheet. And we use a top sheet for the same reason as you Sarah.
I only know those sheet sets from hotels mainly in North America. In Germany we use only the top duvet which has a cover . We do change and wash that cover easily and regularly .
In Ireland, and I don't know about other Irish people, but my family use a fitted sheet and duvet all year round and the top sheet during the colder months, also when its warm we use smooth cotton sheets and when its cold we use brushed cotton sheets (they feel kind of like a soft flannel) because they are warmer.
Omg I relate. I moved last year to Canada to study at university. And when me and my dad went shopping for a bed for me , we were told about the top sheet and I was so confused 🤷♀️ we bought it but I don’t use it. In the Middle East we don’t have a top sheet we just have the bed sheet and blanket.
English here! No top sheet, but we have a duvet cover or blanket cover so your blankets never get dirty. My grandmother uses top sheets, only her and a few other older people use the top sheet!
My family in India doesn't use the "stupid sheet" either lol. We change our blankets (which are kinda thin) along with our bedsheets really often though...
I get both of your points of view because I'm a Korean who has been living in the US since I was 5 years old. I see the benefit of using a top sheet but hate having to deal with another layer. So my compromise is a duvet cover for my winter comforter. The lighter spring/summer blankets I just throw in the washing machine.
In the UK we have the fitted sheet and then we use duvets with duvet covers. It's easy to take off the duvet covers to wash and they're warmer. Now I understand why I used blankets in Canada!
My parents are from the Caribbean but it was the same way for me. Fitted, top sheet, blanket or comforter. And with the comforter we use a duvet so that we can just take it off and throw it in the wash. Those big blankets and so hard to wash at home so I really need.
When I was at Korean hotels, I called the front desk of the hotels each and every time to ask where the top sheets are!!! Lol. It bothered me soooo much not to have the top sheet. I thought that the housekeeper forgot the top sheet!!! Lol. The front desk said there is no such thing as a top sheet. I thought they were lying. 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳Thank you for this video!!! Hahaha
Now I know what it was! I'm from Germany and stayed in a Canadian hostfamily for one year. When I arrived they had made my bed and there was this top sheet I didn't know what to do with it. So just as Kyuho I slept on top of it but it was a pain in the ass to always straighten it out in the mornings so when I first changed/washed covers I just put it in the closet and never used it for the rest of the year. Though I never knew how I should have been using it, but now I know! Eye opening :)

Dude, lol tops sheets are like houseshoes in Korea🤣
In Estonia we don't use this kind of sheet set like in Canada. Same as in Korea I guess then.

same in Estonia.

“Your lips”
Awwww Sarah he’s so in love with you. Thanks for sharing your daily life with us!
That was so cute!
Hahah, I really thought there was something on my face 😅😂
I’m from Germany and never heard of a top sheet hahaha we just use fitted sheets and a duvet cover for the blanket
I bet 99% of korean people don't even know about the sheet. So I feel uncomfortable when I sleep in a hotel. "What is this useless sheet?"
That’s what I suspected 🤔 They’re nearly impossible to find here~
I totally agree!!!!! Especially in winter, the top sheet just so cold and I personally don't like the texture? lol. I guess that's why all those soft material type of blankets (극세사) are popular in Korea.

In Italy we have top sheets! No one would ever sleep without them actually 🤔
In Ireland we just use a duvet cover, never heard of a top sheet before this.

Ok, Sarah looks so good in that crisp light blue blouse and shorts outfit. I’m going to copy that.
Also, if you get hot at night and kick off the blankets you still have a sheet to cover with to keep a draft off of you.
exactly.. :)
I can’t sleep without the top sheet, it feels sooo weird! Top sheets are the way to go 😚
I tried to get used to not having one all these years living in Korea, but NOPE 😩 It just feels too weird to me.
I think in Europe there’s a third category to this whole sheet+blanket discourse: we have duvet covers (like a pillow case but for your duvet)
But when I visited my friend in Korea four years ago I distinctly remember him having the same duvet cover 🤔
Yes
kaisachu I agree with you. We have that combo in Spain
Wait so... if people use a top sheet, they don't use a duvet cover? That would be so weird to me; I can't sleep with just a naked duvet!
@@jasminee204 I think maybe they just don't use duvets? Idk, they didn't seem to have one in the video 🤔
Agree with you it's the same in France
In Greece we also use the top sheet. Sheets are always sold as a set! Duvet covers are also common the past few years but I tend to use both!!
The top sheep is a must. I live in Hawaii, USA and we use a top sheet! Non negotiable!
I’m from Germany, but moved to the US with my family when I was 16. We never used top sheets haha
in Hungary, Europe we usually have duvet under the blanket, the duvet has a "duvet case", it has a sheet material, you can put inside your duvet, it works just as a pillowcase for a pillow, so don't need to worry about it sliding down or becoming a mess, and its super cozy^^
I recommend a duvet instead and covers. Its so much better and in the wintertime, so warm, fluffy and cosy. The blankets is so thin. I change the covers once a week and its really easy to wash them together with the pillow casing and sheets.
Hello guys! I love watching your videos 😊
I have a similar story and I only discovered that my boyfriend (Korean) didn’t know about the top sheets also, because of your video! Learning new things everyday 😊
B.
Ohhh, interesting! Is it not so common in England as maybe Canada or the U.S?
@@2hearts1seoul yeah very uncommon, just like Kyuho said, I often see it in hotels
Actually, 'duvet' is the word for a blanket or comforter cover, i.e. the pillowcase for the blanket.
Hi,
I live in Canada, Province of Quebec and we use top sheet between the comforter or duvet cover. I will not be comfortable without it. Also washing a duvet cover is quite a job. I suppose is provided more warmness.
I don't know if the habit of using top sheet or not are influenced by the climate that we live in?
Julie Bouchard but whats the difference in washing a top sheet and washing duvet cover? Not being mean here
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 you go on & use your stupid sheets 😂😂😂😂😂 ohhhh man I can not stop laughing about that argument. We here in Germany don't commonly use such sheets. I've never saw such a combination. But your argument is so awkwardly funny & I can not stop laughing. That must be the life of a married couple. 😆
American here🙋♀️ DONT BE RUDE TO OUR "LUXURIOUS TOP SHEET" 🤣🤣😐
About the sheets, in Brazil the whole set are popular here, we usually buy the whole set. I don't know if it's just our family, but we just use the fitted sheet and store the top sheet and only use it when we want some light cover when it's chilly. I never thought about it being a barrier to the blankets so it wouldn't get dirty fast. Interesting!
Feel so cozy
I dont know for the whole of Europe, but I've always had a thin sheet over my fitted one. It makes it easier to not change the fitted one so often and makes it softer. However I don't have a sheet between me and the blanket as in the end it'll be shifted to the side the way I sleep. Blankets have a ''pouch/pocket'' sheet to be into so you wash those.
As an American with a thin blanket and top flat sheet, I find it hard to sleep in hotels who only have a duvet because they are so thick and I get too hot.
Yeah, we mostly just use a corner of the duvet around the waist.
I think guys you have had a really success topic about the blankets. There are as many sheet-blanket combos as countries haha
Oh My gosh Sarah, I am from South Africa and I totally agree with the you on the bedding situation! A top sheet is a must have!
Yessss! 🙌 It’s a non-negotiable!
Thank youuuu! Totally with you on this 🙌
100% American and grew up using a top sheet. But my also 100% American husband did not. In the past year or so I’ve started not using a top sheet and well, I love it! Haha! It’s one less piece of fabric and I enjoy cuddling in my blanket. Kind of funny!
What a new chennel . Subscibed but already 150 thousand . You guys are funny and I like her English tones and his too haha
Ohh hello~! Welcome-and thank you so much! 😊
God Bless you all,
Sandy
We always sleep on top of our top sheet too! But we do use a duvet cover which we wash regularly.
i am from saudi arabia and we do not have the concept of the top sheets and i just discovered the purpose of them too lol
Thank you Sarah, actually i never understand about sheet under the blanket (why they use it), now i know.
How adorable that you consider a bigger bed because of Beemo !! Looks like he liked it !! So cute !!
Yes, top sheet!!! Can't sleep without one. Love from 🇨🇦
YESSSS! 🙌🇨🇦
I’m getting more of the ‘Yes top sheets’ from America, and ‘duvet only’ from England-interesting!
Right? 😅 I can’t not have one at this point-it just feels so weird without one.
@@2hearts1seoul I completely agree! Plus the whole washing thing
Yup~ Seoul summers are superrr hot and humid, so using a light sheet as a ‘blanket’ is a must for me-actually blankets are way too heavy in summer.
In Australia we use sheet sets as well. It's a normal occurrence. There is always IKEA if you have rouble finding top sheets over there.
In Ireland, and I don't know about other Irish people, but my family use a fitted sheet and duvet all year round and the top sheet during the colder months, also when its warm we use smooth cotton sheets and when its cold we use brushed cotton sheets (they feel kind of like a soft flannel) because they are warmer.
now i get the idea of top sheet. i'm korean and washing top blanket or duvet is really a load of work. i need to get a top sheet.
That’s interesting. America also uses sheet set, for sure at hotels, but I never knew what that was for until you explained it. Thanks a Sarah
As a part of typical Korean household, I totally relate to gyuho it sounds just a extra layer to me Lmao 😂
In the UK we have the fitted sheet and then we use duvets with duvet covers. It's easy to take off the duvet covers to wash and they're warmer. Now I understand why I used blankets in Canada!
In Holland we use fitted sheets for blankets, which we change regularly. No need for topsheets!
Hahaha
Lolll!!! Yeah, they just don’t seem to exist here-I was shocked too 😅
Now I know what it was!
