Fuel Sensor issued solved - Ducati XDiavel

Before you take your XDiavel to the dealer (and spend $180 for a new sensor and 1.5 hours labor), and before you try the bypass connector (witch only turns off the flashing lights), try this.
Forgot to mention: while disconnected, do the pre start and activate the system and fuel pump, then turn off and then reconnect.
*ethanol fuel free fuel - ha ha

Thanks for finding this out, just done it on mine and she is reading the fuel level now. Hopefully it will stay like this. Initially I thought it didn’t work but tested again after I bolted the tank back in place and it worked….thanks again

Same thing on my Xdiavel 2021. TKS you so much
I had to do it 2 times to work.
Second time
I unplugged the cable
Turn Moto electronic on and off
Replug the cable
Turn Moto on and bingo

I’ve read that people using low octane fuel causes fuel sensor issues. I’ve been using shell 91 on my Xdiavel for the last 4 years and no issues whatsoever. Good to know for sure for other fellow Xdiavel owners

Avoid ethanol mixed gasoline.

Mine was replaced 1.5 years ago and now it flashes orange so I don't know if it is a malfunction or a bad connection

Where did you buy that other fuel sensor and how did you get to the fuel sensor?

I’ve only used ethanol free fuel in my 2020 XDS for 3 years and never the slightest issue.
