Yeah I was going to comment on this too. It’s a cool new synth, but it appears to not be an actual polyphonic Model D, but a paraphonic one instead. So it’s technically more comparable with the new Matriarch from Moog. But still, it’s a cool new product.

Open hand fist pump!
Wow! ... Just wow!
And the lush chords at 13:49 with the lovely base in there. ❤️
This thing looks amazing, lots of endless fun. A polyphonic Minimoog, and it also sounds a little like a Juno 60 sometimes too.
It's paraphonic
“Aight, ima head out”
- My Wallet
This is like a paraphonic love-letter to the minimoog. And damn does it sound great in my opinion..
At 9:40 I forgot that this was a demonstration of a synth, as I just got lost in an amazing jam!
Guys.
I only have so much money.
right?!?!?!
'had'
looks like I am selling my model D for this lol
You can spare on food. Again.
I was about to buy a neutron and my Keystep was delivered 15 minutes ago, I'm not kidding!
Nice sounding. Love the 106 style chorus, also using FX pedals in the musical portion of the demo. This looks and sounds really nice.
That looks and sounds incredible! Great job and worth the wait!
people warned me about this hobby when I got my Pro-1 last week. now I begin to see why
Just wait till you start selling your stuff for money.
For years, I've stared longingly at all that remains of my ’79 Model D; its’ nameplate.
Always with the burning question; Will the day ever come when I can afford another?
FINALLY!
Only a close facsimile?
No problem.
Thanks B.Ringer.
way to go behringer! this is awesome, first synth I've actually wanted in years!
Loving the Are " friends " electric jam at the end , class
I'm glad I waited... now I can get this polyphonic synth.
SAME
I caved when they hit $222 in September, I can live with two :)
@@savanaviolenta Same here. Suddenly I'm interested.
It’s paraphonic, 4osc and 1filter (not polyphonic)
thomas boichard feel better now?
I'm so glad they still make these and they're awesome. I'm going to get one in just a few short months after this winter is over.
So can't wait!
When Behringer successfully clones the Yamaha CS-80 , undoubtedly the hardest Instrument they will have to clone , then there's no more to prove.
Their legend and legacy will be solidified.
They haven't successfully cloned _any_ synth yet, as none can produce 100% exact behavior.
You can say that the differences 'don't matter' but then what do _differences_ mean in the first place?
@@shaft9000 Nothing thats what they mean? If you cannot make music with what you have its time to give the game up! No one in a audience will give two shits what synths being used...
Behringer...Behringer...what are you doing to me?? Should my employer just start sending my paycheck direct to you??
I feel the same way
I sold my Model D last Week and now you're dropping this...perfect Timing 😱🔥
can i ask how much you sold it for? ive had mine up for sale for 3 weeks ...maybe im asking too much
@@offworldnetwork 240€ 2nd Hand & no Guarantee - but that was 2 weeks ago, with the Poly D it will be hard to sell Dude
@@tilldawnprd why do you guys sell the model d??
@@cnfuzz Poly D??? 😅
2020 is going to be incredible for synths. They will sell a million of these
Behringer I hardly comment on modern synth videos because I cannot stand their sound BUT you have created a stunning beautiful sounding poly synth machine and you have my biggest respects!!!!
This sounds warm, rich, punchy, fast, analog, beautiful!!!!
Behringer you are the Holy Grail of modern analog synths this sound has caught my attention!!!
Hope to see an affordable Jupiter 4, Juno 60, Prophet 5, OBXA, Linn LM1, Yamaha RX5 clones soon.
Behringer you have earned my respect!
The Best Behringer demo to date!
This thing sounds and looks amazing.
Thanks Behringer for ‘Not’ putting mini keys on this 👍
Sequencer is great.
Poly is awesome.
Patch memory would of been out of this world, but I’m not complaining,.. this is a winner!
what a time to be alive!
I wonder if Behringer remembers the good old days when they were accused of poor quality rip offs and not innovating.
Sniff, good times.
Shit I remember when it was true!
BluffMunkey their plastic pedals still have a bad reputation I'm afraid, shame they haven't passed on the build quality of their synthesizers or mixers to their effects units who knows maybe they will
If you would’ve told me 5 years ago the company that made Okay pedals and good mixers would become my favorite synth manufacturer I would’ve called you a liar.
They made good mixers and okay pedals? 🤣
The last 4-5 years do feel like an upside-down world in many ways :D
Lies and slander it was... but one day the prototype of unknown creatures came out.
Such an excellent synth destined to be a classic and much sought after just like the Mini. Wonderful sounds!
Moog has to clone this
They should, but they won't. Moog's not about cheap and cheerful, never were. Their cheapest poly unit is the Matriarch, and that starts at two grand.
If Moog cloned this, the quality would suffer.
@@cpms45vn55That's so meta and ironic. :)
Holy crap dude. This thing sounds amazing........
This is a beautiful synth. Personally I have a preference for Poly D over a genuine Moog. I know it might sound odd but Behringer really did their homework on this one (and most of their reissues). Loving my Behringers! Please feel free to check out some of my Poly D demos if you like. Great job in presenting this beast!
I guess they called it the Poly D since the 'Para D' would've been a bit too om the nose for a clone.
Yeah, I noticed it seems to be paraphonic instead of true poly as well.
Ha! I see what you did there
Yeah I was going to comment on this too. It’s a cool new synth, but it appears to not be an actual polyphonic Model D, but a paraphonic one instead. So it’s technically more comparable with the new Matriarch from Moog. But still, it’s a cool new product.
Nicely done.
I like that name.
OMG - I'M IN LOVE!!! It's a mix of so many different iconic elements... the Juno chorus is just 😍😍
Man my first mixer was a behringer eurorack. Man that got me thru so much recordings. I'll say I'm a proud owner of a neutron and a model d. I'm a sampler dude as well! I'll only buy behringer synths from now on.
Holy smokes that double chorus sounds #aaaaaamazing.
WOW, I just found the perfect soulmate for my Deepmind 12. I will arrange that marriage asap!
The amount of gear choices right now is insane (and in a good way)
The Domitable Traveler What‘s the difference between the Poly-D and the DM12 if you had three sentences to explain?
magicmulder The DM12 has a modulation matrix, lots of great fx and a rolandish filter but only 2 osc with just 2 waveforms and it can store sounds. The poly d has 4 oscillators with much more sonic potential, but less modulation and a moogish ladder filter and no storage.
@@TheEstateOfHoHu Thanks mate!
@@magicmulder Welcome mate!
Nice demo. It's definitely on my wish list, and some "old" stuff will be going out.
All these synths that Behringer keep producing are only going to make my bank balance go down 😀 great work! Keep it up👍👍👍
Behringer is knocking it out of the park lately..Big respect..
I hope this will start a synth war.
Xangelix!!!! Wendos!!! Zoroger!!!!
Robert Hanlon A+ reference 👏🏼
We can only dream
Please build a replica of the TARDIS which is bigger on the inside. I need more space for synths!
Ambient Moods The Behringer ID-STAR, available in black, white and falligrey.
@@magicmulder I assume the ID-STAR comes with a full clone of the TONTO synth.
Seriously, the biggest thing keeping me from buying almost everything behringer has been putting out lately is that my workstation only has so much space to it...
@@s3nsec0rruptr80 On the other hand limited space can be good for your wallet 😊
@@martingoldmannmusic yeah but I want crazy synth sounds! I just pre-ordered the wasp, and I'm not sure how much longer I can hold off on this!
My God. Adding one oscillator at time was just pure sex.
i want one. nice demo. especially the homage to gary numan's are friends electric.
Fantastic! very very Fabulous! Behringer is the winner of 2019!!!
@ZionHillCalling Yeeeeeees! :)
OMF, what's next? They should have a synth of the month club. Because at this rate I'm going to have to buy a new synth every month just to keep up with them!
"synth of the month club" 😂 I was thinking the same thing!
Dayum Behringer, neither my Arturia MatrixBrute nor my Moog Voyager sound like this! And currently, I'm playing my Behringer Model D through my Voyager keys. But it looks like Christmas just came early with this announcement of a Polyphonic D. Dammit Uli, take my money NOW!!! :)
What? Matrix Brute sounds awesome! It has way more abilities than Para D.
@@KiR_3d Nobody said the Matrixbrute didn't sound good.
Sounds stupid to say, but I'm so glad they got the Bakelite switch colours right!
Bakelite?? No never ,i cant imagine even moog used that as they break and chip, were not in the 50s anymore
@@cnfuzz you're probably right, I just mean they aren't the Uber plasticy looking ones they have on the model D, they made the thing look super cheap. Apparently the original minimoogs all had Bakelite knobs which were known to break.
This is a mix of KORG Mono/Poly and Minimoog with some Juno like Chorus Effect. Sounds really good.
*Ok, but we're mainly still waiting for the new BCR2000 with USB power and metal case!*
Never thought I would see the day Behringer is becoming more trusted and innovative than Gibson
Compairing Behringer to Gibson is like compairing a Ferrari to a Lada Niva!
Man all the other synth makers should be scared. Behringer is going undercut them if they dont start realizing not eveyone can pay 2000 dollars for a decent polysynth.
I honestly don't understand how the DeepMind 12 didn't immediately kill off lesser competition. You get so much for the money.
Behringer do not produce any particularly hand-made instruments, though.
They produce huge automated runs at scale and spend maybe 2-5 minutes per unit making sure the functions work before packing into a box.
That's not how professional synths are made, and certainly not how a higher-priced analog poly is made.
Ok wow. These guys are just unstoppable.
An instrument this powerful at this price point is making my heart fly around the universe in excitement.
Just ordered one 2 days ago and can't wait til I get mine.
