Honestly I know this might be pretentious but this project really baffles me how good it is. It’s so immersive and unique, it’s not consistently aiming to be scary for the sake of being scary, the amount of little moments being remarkable and an emphasis to the experience, so many reflections about the patient… there’s so much things to name on, man… Im not an avid EATOET listener anymore, the sample list of this project is what really got me into 80’s music and later, 00s-10s… and so on… that has been since 2 years and I’ve been listening so much music all thanks to this project, breaking out of my comfort zone. This project still holds a really sweet place in my heart, and I’m glad that it still holds up very well as a fan-project made by talented and passionate people. Kudos P.S I barely remember any moments from Year 7 and 8, if I ever had the time il take this chance to relisten the whole project C:
Listening to this album without the context of dementia and the soundscape is still great. I’ve been an avid space fan ever since I was little (I even dreamed of being an astronaut) and the cosmic sound of this never fails to entertain me. I always visualize drifting through the endless and inhospitable expanses of space, home being countless light years away. The ambience is beautiful, in a brutal way. Love this a lot.
That ending is… gut-wrenching. It’s like being on top just minutes before, but then losing everything again. It’s by far the best depiction of death I’ve ever heard. I know some people may favour the original Terminal Lucidity, but this ending is, in my opinion, the best possible ending to a project like this. Bravo, Jordan. Many thanks to you and all the contributors that helped make this album a possibility.
In case anyone was wondering when you would have to start watching NATMOS: R to have terminal lucidity start at midnight, I did the math. The first Terminal lucidity section (Gyöngyháju Lány section) should start at 12:15:41 into the entire project, so you would have to start listening to the entire of NATMOS Redux at 11:44:19 AM (11 hours, 44 minutes and 19 seconds) exactly for terminal lucidity to start at Midnight.
@@KingOfAristonia You are a chad for doing the math for 17 people on the internet to see it. I haven't calculated it yet, but my personal time is for midnight to strike when the quiet, outro part of Denouement starts, so I can either go into the new year dead, or alive.
@@WyattRobbins14 just helping the community in whatever way I can, thank you very much bro. Good luck with the Denouement part, and remember, do not go gentle; rage, rage against the dying of the light; last embers of the soul ignite, final moments let it all fade to white...
NATMOS ending be like: How about one more rock ballad for the road? NATMOSR ending be like: You should Nowhere at the Millennium of Space yourself, NOW!
By the way, in case anyone is wondering, all eight years clock in at 12:43:02 It may be longer or shorter depending on how the final product is edited, but still. That puts NatMoS:R in the same league as AtGMoAtLY.
And assuming Forevermore and Nevermore should be 24-hours long in total, this project is just over half as long as FaN. to think the original EATEOT was long...
No words. Without compare. This is the bar to pass for years to come when it comes to Caretaker style work and showcases over two years of community effort and 5+ years of music production talent on your part. Wildly unique, layered with symbolism both philosophic and clinical...almost everything I could've hoped for and then some.
@@paintball_2 I'm saying if there are future projects that can be in a state of popularity in the community that are as GOOD as this or somewhere near it.
Making artwork submissions was one of the most fun times I’ve had as an artist and pushed me to go beyond what I could imagine to try and compete and hopefully make it in the project as an artist. Even if don’t make it in or not it was beyond words a pleasure to be involved in someway and Natmosr will truly be something I’ll cherish for a very long time. So long Natmosr.
00:00 - 7a - "Fragments" "Time blurs together to be indistinguishable entirely. A series of repeated inquiries lead nowhere. Speech has been reduced to a mere handful of words." The last segments of escaping the void are left with a resounding failure. The patient is near infantile now. The cover represents the voyager gold disc, with the back side not being seen, kind of like necrotomigaud. With some mechanical noises throughout, there is still some elements of the previous year. 16:10 - Waves are heard, unknown and gravelly. As the track continues, things turn less mechanical and more hollow. No return. 35:40 - 7b - "Ends" "As time goes by, all semblance of intelligible speech is reduced to a single word." Far more emptier, this track has no residue of Year 7 left. Drones, some aggressive, some calmer, persist. Trapped in their own, hollow mind. 56:28 - Quiet cracks and pops are heard as the first "Stings of death" are heard. ... Why are they alive when they are practically dead? 1:02:54 - 7c - "Depths" "Further loss leads to the ability to move independently withering away." The longest track, the slow decline into a vegetative state is approached. The track starts with glittery noises, which are heard. It's unknown what they represent, but it seems to be some kind of joy left, though emotion falters. 1:30:51 - Entirely alien noises are heard. Noises from the outside, completely butchered as even the present becomes unrecognizable. There's no "Time" anymore. 1:48:33 - Hope in the sea of nothing is heard. It was from 2 years ago, that moment of unrecognizable bliss was heard. In no space. ...But there is no "Space" either anymore. 2:07:00 - 7d - "Still" "Following the ability to move independently being lost, one loses the ability to merely sit up independently." Fully vegetive, loud blasting drones are heard as the mind becomes a deep, deep static. Though this calms down into unknown drones. Peace is heard throughout, when you don't know anything, you don't know anything bad. 2:33:15 - 7e - "Affligé" "At this point, the ability to smile is lost. Something familiar brings the warmth of sleeping memories, before falling away once again." Static, stings of death are heard throughout. The body is starting to fail, it started failing a while ago, but now it's daily... And deadly. Annihilation is heard as the end is- ...Something is heard. 2:43:08 - Terminal Lucidity For what has become well known at this point, a paradoxical return of semi-awareness before death in memory disorders. Completely unknown to why it happens, it is left unknown to "why" in the scientific community. ...The final day of paradise. Not much needs to be said here, as it'd miss the point. 2:53:06 - 7f - "Denouement" Post-Terminal Lucidity The mind is null. Being unable to even tilt their head, stings of death are heard as it's simply not possible to be alive anymore. The body can't support it. Blank. ...But it's not the time to talk about their life... It's time to see their transition to death. 3:01:36 - Ascension Many people experience near-death experiences, a light at the end of the tunnel, angels, a retrospective of their life. And for their last minute, they see their life, and look at death with a smile. 3:07:02 - The sound of a dead body The body remains with a sound of limbo as it slowly decomposes or cremates. As for the soul, it's unknown where it is, whether it's in some sort of afterlife, or stuck in the dead body.
I like to think that those last few minutes are consciousness seeping away. The brain remains active for a few moments after death, assuming it’s intact. Iirc it gets pumped with a ton of DMT. I like to think it’s the sound of the brain’s natural death-trip.
Year 8. The release date is June 11th, 2023. This was long overdue, wasn’t it? And I’m warning you right now: if you want a spoiler-free experience, then don’t press/click on “Read More.” And with that out of the way, let’s finish this one hell of an album. Have fun reading this! The first cover is meant to be the Voyager One Golden Record that was launched into space on September 5th, 1977. On the Golden Record is a collection of images and sounds that aliens could find and decipher. And at the time of this review, it is currently 12 Billion years away from Earth; possibly more. The front side of the Record is facing away from the viewer, which is very reminiscent of Necrotomigaud. 0:01 - And let it begin… 1:11 - Fragments of melodies scattered about, as the title of 7a would suggest. 4:36 - (D2/I8) is still here. Not bad by any means. 5:45 - Be not afraid, as this was meant to happen. 12:33 - Remnants of Year 7 are still here. 14:38 - The patient is unable to form complete sentences. 16:07 - ? 18:35 - A calm in the storm… 23:15 - There’s a reason why this is called 7a - “Fragments” 29:31 - A sense of tranquility and senility. 33:13 - Time is meaningless, and yet it drags on, progressively getting longer. 33:58 - The patient is wasting his abilities rotting away in a deep wound. 35:11 - The world around begins to fade as a lead-in to 7b. The second cover reminds me of the ISS that was launched into space on November 20th, 1998. Fun fact: it began as two modules that needed to be connected; one that was built by the US and the other was built by Russia. Today, it weighs in at least 460 tons and is 250 miles away from Earth. Not sure if you needed that last bit of information, but you do happen to go on Jeopardy and get that question right, you’d know who to thank. 35:43 - When the cover first shows. 38:53 - I forgot what I was going to put here, but it’s still a key point of interest. 42:54 - Crackles. 45:53 - Remnants of what used to be… 47:11 - Bliss is all that remains. The pain is still there, too. 51:52 - Some sort of vocal. Listen closely. 52:19 - A newer, blissful drone plays. 54:22 - Year 8 has aggressive moments, I see. 56:28 - Death is close at hand. 1:00:05 - What is the one word that remains? 1:00:37 - Another drone, which this project is good at, of course. 1:02:21 - A newer kind of drone plays, leading into 7c. The third cover is an asteroid. And the first asteroid was discovered on January 1st, 1801 by an Italian Astronomer named Giuseppe Piazzi. Again, thank me later when you win Jeopardy. For this one however, I really didn’t write anything down(though I could’ve sworn that I heard Bloodhail at 1:03:23). I just turned the lights off in my room, put my phone face down, and just simply imagined traversing through the infinite depths of space. And on this travel through space, I saw many things: the stars, the moon, nebulas, the Milky Way, planets, various galaxies, and other things that weren’t meant to be seen by the human eye. Space is a wonderful thing, don’t you agree? The fourth cover is The Boomerang Nebula, and it was discovered in 1980. It is considered to be coldest point in the cosmos, with the temperature of -457.87 Degrees Fahrenheit. Makes sense, since the patient has lost the ability to sit up independently; frozen in place. 2:07:08 - The artwork is honestly well done; props to whoever made it. 2:08:54 - Droning, but in a well done manner. 2:12:36 - Peace… 2:13:02 - I still wonder how many samples were used to make this entire thing…and how many of them are repeated.. 2:17:06 - Peace and harm.. 2:19:23 - Some semblance of drones are heard. 2:22:36 - All in all, this part is reminding me of There’ll Be Sad Songs(To Make You Cry), and I wonder if this is sampled here. 2:26:38 - Back In Black…for the last time in this series. 2:31:32 - Letting this speak for itself. The other part to this will be in the reply section of this comment.
The fifth cover is The Boötes Void - or often referred to as The Great Nothing - contains very few galaxies, making it the biggest void in the universe. Here, I was able to hear most of the broadcasts that were featured in this section. 2:33:34 - The artwork here is also well done, too. 2:34:24 - Wind-like frequencies play. Not sure what that means lol. 2:43:08 - Terminal Lucidity it is. 2:43:43 - “More rain, especially by the afternoon, it’s going to stay cold to the north, fairly mild to the south. Now that’s a look at the national weather, now here’s what you can expect.” 2:43:51 - “This is Meteorologist Phil Erickson, for Providence and Vicinity, we’ll have periods of snow this morning anywhere from 1 to 3 inches accumulation. Temperature in the middle 30s, tapering off to flurries this afternoon. Cold tonight, temperature middle 20s and partially sunny tomorrow, tempts in the middle 30s.” 2:44:06 - “Hope you have a safe weekend and we’ll see you on Monday.” 2:44:09 - “Thank you Dave. Right now, it’s 37 minutes after Julian Lennon’s memories of John Lennon who was killed 5 years ago this weekend, after this.” 2:44:55 - Gyongyhaju Lany, was the last song I expected to play here. I welcome it. 2:46:08 - “I mean, what I think he said to me-I’m not sure, now I’m getting confused. I mean, do it, but don’t blame me.” 2:46:16 - “Get up quickly, like a flashing light. I put my clothes on, eating rice. I work all day, I’m working nights. When I do fight doubts, but I’ll do it right. And I’m lonely, and I’m on my own again…” 2:46:23 - Ascension. Not yet, at least. 2:47:25 - That’s…Every Breath You Take…bro I’m literally sobbing rn 2:47:35 - “I mean, he did gave me a basic outline, he said. What he did with The Beatles was great, but even if he had the chance again he would never do it again, you know that once was, the experience was enough, you know?” 2:47:50 - One more day in Paradise. That’s all that matters. 2:48:47 - How about one more rock ballad for the road, dear friend. 2:50:35 - The world around the patient becomes gray and void. The last cover is meant to be A Diagram of the Solar System. The Diagram happens to be in view from a distance, meaning that the album is now living up to its namesake: Nowhere At The Millennium Of Space - Redux. Eight planets in view(excluding the one in the center), and eight years of NATMOS:R. And the definition for Denouement is this: It is considered to be a final part of a play, movie or a narrative; a climax to a chain of events if you will. And considering A1’s title, it simply just comes altogether in the end. But there are still some key points of interest here. 2:53:17 - Where it actually starts. 2:57:29 - Null. 3:01:36 - Ascension, with a light to welcome him home. 3:03:10 - Isolation, with The Great Gig In The Sky to boot. 3:04:03 - “And I am not frightened of dying. Any time will do, I don’t mind. Why should I be frightened of dying? There’s no reason for it, you’ve got to go sometime.” 3:05:58 - This. Actually got to me. 3:07:02 - The death of the mind, and the sound of a dead body. 3:11:16 - I simply just don’t have any words to describe how amazing this is. I could write a spectacular paper on this, but nobody would believe me. It’s just too surreal. I can’t even begin to imagine how many days it must’ve taken to finish this project whole. But I’d say that it was worth it in the end. I appreciated every second of this project, even if it took me a few months to fully finish. Kudos to those who have participated in the making of this project; one that can surpass EATEOT itself. I hope to stick around in this community and listen to other projects that have my interest piqued. I’ll see all of you again real soon. Alright, peace. -Lacey
1st cover isn't facing away from the camera - it's just that the only visible landmark is the Puslar Map. 2nd cover is a TV facing away from the viewer. 3rd cover appears to be the Golden Disc entering an atmosphere.
Finally completed this behemoth of an audio collage… The original NATMOS was a marvel, but this went above and beyond. I love how you tied in the name of this album with the destination of space, a work fully deserving of its namesake. Out of everything I’ve heard, I like this work’s depiction of death the most. The final descent speaks to me, like an invitation into the wide, open universe. It’s beautiful, with such a gradual buildup across the 13-hour runtime it still ties everything together perfectly. There’s a distinct lack of sadness or regret, as if the mind you’ve spent your entire life steeped inside dimmed out slowly, like a candle; The natural conclusion of any life well-lived. Such a serene ending makes me think, it’s more so the concept of death that we fear, is it not? Even though there is no pain or opportunity cost in death, only in the present. It’s just a mystery one can never grasp, for those who encountered it have come to pass already. Death is such a taboo, that I feel grateful to process the thought unhindered before it’s too late. For being provoked to consider it deeply, beyond when it jolts you with a reminder of its toll. Thank you for conveying the peace and horror of stillness in audio, It may sound cheesy but these albums have changed my life. I hope many more experience your visceral, mesmerizing art and come out better for it, too. I await the complete album edition for a full relisten 👍
one month, one month since year 8 has been released. this one, this entire project, hell, even this year, is why NATMOS:R will and always be the greatest fan project of them all, the ending was sad, it’s like I shed a tear once it’s announced one of my pets or family members die, it’s a sad way to represent death, not know where you’ll end up, heaven, hell or purgatory. thank you, jordan. thank you, NATMOS:R submitters. it was once a hell of a ride
Always improving. Always evolving. Never ever plateau. That's been the philosophy for the run of this entire project. Happy you listened and I hope you enjoyed it! See you when the final version releases.
@@JordanKeuring Yes Of course I enjoyed it! I fully agree. Amazing Experience. (This also might be alot to read) TLDR: This was an experience that just topped off all the other fan projects I've heard and seen, phenomenal work. In my opinion, I think it's so good it can easily compare to the og EATEOT. I mean always 'evolving' The music definitely evolved. The music slowly unravels and unmasks a slow empty void... in such a chaotic satisfying emotional rollercoaster. But it's so unique with bumpers and so much other little nit picks and details really letting you know this takes place near the dawn of present day music. I remember with Year 5 the post awareness I thought it would be disappointing... I thought it would be a flop, but when I began to listen and really get into knowing post awareness was gonna be painful to listen to... I was so impressed, and just... How Year 3 was the peak transition before everything takes its gradual collapse. Year 5 easily depicts your awareness is sitting in the middle slowly tipping over into a journey towards Year 8 And just the smoothness from Year 6's transition to Year 7.... Perfect. And all of Year 8 was so incredible and active yet so distant and vacant, it made me realize listening to this over and over could be an experience all over again from how large and really emotional and relatable the music is in this whole project. The first four years felt like I was forgetting music my parents or even I could have known. And the last 4 years were the most intense experiences, I can explain. Although I have the smallest peeves... And it's with somethings I can still very much enjoy... This was truly an experience I enjoyed, Year 8 KILLED all other fan project final stages projects, but that's my opinion. All the effort and work just to make someone who is listening to slowly feel like they aren't just forgetting but (edit) they're physically drifting into a cold unknown with no answer. I l o v e d this. Thank you for not giving up on this, and making this a memorable experience
Something cool I figured out about Affligè, the first cover used in the song is an edited photo of the Boötes Void, or The Great Nothing, which is a huge (26 megaparsecs) radius in space that has almost no galaxies. Idk how many people already figured this out but I thought it was cool
There doesn't seem to be many pictures of the actual Bootes Void, What you're refering to is actually called Barnard 68, which is a dark nebula, which prevents light from passing through. The bootles Void itself does not seem to have any proper images. I'd share links but youtube doesn't like that, so id recomend checking the wiki article for anidea of what im talking about and it's souces if you're still confused.
This was. The best thing. I have ever witnessed. Even though that there were many delays in the process of making Y8, Jordan and his team were still able to deliver a compelling audio experience while giving unique visuals to each of the years. Jordan and his team looked back upon the original NATMOS and decided to make it better with 8 years to boot, pouring all of their blood, sweat, and tears into it. Whatever Jordan and his team will do after uploading all 8 years in one video, I will support them until the end. I'm glad that I sat through all of it. May this roller rink remain eternal, and let the rest be silence. Cest Fini.
Some very hard times in my life came about during the production of this series. As a result, a few tracks are difficult to listen to now. This project means a lot to me. I remember when Jordan and I were first talking about how we missed making natmos, and how cool NATMOS 2 would be. Not too long after, this project started. Jordan, you are a talented artist and you deserve all the recognition for your hard work. Everyone did great, but nobody put more into this than you. I commend you. I won’t stick around in this community forever, but I do know that I’m proud to have even touched projects such as this, because they are genuine, raw art. I’d say this ending was better than I expected, but to be honest, that’s reductive. This ending managed to be as touching and meaningful as any piece of music could hope to be. It’s very difficult to put into words what you’ve said so fluently with music. Good job dude.
This has been a crazy journey, and its not even fully over yet as we still need the full definitive version of years 1-8, but this has been one of the most worked on caretaker fan albums of the small time this community has even existed. Thank you Jord
I've said it in a previous comment but OH MY FUCKING GOD THIS IS SO FUCKING GOOD. I honestly can't think of any major flaws in this, pretty much everything in this is perfect. Amazing job Jordan, and good luck to all of your future endeavors!
Thanks for making these Jordan! Definitely a group effort but you've broke your back these past couple years putting on these community projects. That effort will mean a lot for years to come!
This album... This entire project is perfect. You took the original NATMOS and made it even better. You glorious bastards. To all of the Nowhere at the Millennium of Space team, and especially to Jordan Keuring. Thank you, all of you. This is an experience I will never forget. Godspeed. szeretet és a béke
And now, a poem. (Sorry if this comes off as pretentious or cringe, by the way.) For they who has degraded For the time that they were here We forever hold them close in thought Year after year. All the memories you made All the experiences you brought Now live here with us Never to be forgot. We mourn the passing of you And all that you have suffered As you cross into the great beyond Surrounded by family, friends, and others. So we shall never forget them Their mark on this place As they now sail forth through Nowhere at the Millennium of Space. Dear Jordan Keuring, I've intentionally held back from commenting all this time on this fan project until now, so I'm gonna try to put all my thoughts forward as best as I can. Alright so, where do I begin... I guess I can start with the most obvious one. That being to give my hugest congrats and bravos to everyone who has contributed in any way, shape, or form to this colossal work. All the stress, the delays, the personal problems y'all have had to endure during this project's conception cannot go unstated. But in the end, what came out of it was a piece of art that transcends the term, "fan project". I pray that this work of art doesn't go unnoticed and that it gets the recognition it truly deserves and many more. Second, I personally have to give my deepest thanks to you, Jordan. Nearly two years since this project has started and no other work has had more of a personal impact on me that made me feel a whole spectrum of emotions than this one has. (Well, maybe there are a few exceptions but that's besides the point.) You've undoubtedly made something truly special here and have made history with this work of yours. I wish you the very best of what's to come next from you. Take all the break time you need; you've earned it. Last but not least I've wanted to give myself a pat on the back for taking the time to indulge in this fan project. For all the time I've spent as a lurker in the EATEOT community and all the fan projects I've stumbled onto, I've never really given any of them my full undivided attention until this one came under my radar. This project has made me yearn for more of it when the rest of the other years were still in the works and had yet to come out. This work has gripped me like none other. It's been a long journey, but the end was immensely worth the wait. I don't know what lies in store for me when it comes to your next work Jordan Keuring but rest assured, I'll be there to immerse myself in it as best as I can. For now, I bid you farewell. This is my first and last comment to your channel so cherish it dearly, kid. C'est fini, may the dance club remain eternal. With warm regards, Mr. Siddles
this is just the best thing I've ever heard. I'm so amazed, so sad, so happy, so inspirated. this porject was truly an emotion roller coaster to the end and I love it. since natmos I've really loved this series, and I can see the love in this. thanks Jordan, thanks to all the caretakers for such an amazing project.
I can't even begin. You're genuinely an artist -- you have so much talent and so many ideas and I really hope that you decide to use your talent to make other amazing things like this one day. That last hour was the most tense I've been in my entire life.
It’s been a pleasure to be in this project. (I made the last artwork at the very end and made the second last artworks and got involved with third last one)
returning to this like over a year later, this whole thing was just incredible. i still recall the time listening to the stage 6 of og NATMOS when it first came out and remember just how the final song made me blankly stare into nothing for solid 5 minutes after it ended. this project once again captured the special thing about natmos while refining it even more, i have no other words to describe Denouement than unforgettable. Its been a great time when i was in this community.
I can't really begin to describe what I am currently feeling right now. This album is more then incredible, it has had heart and soul put into it. I don't know what else to really say but, dear god, this is just... incredible. More then incredible, whatever word you think is the highest way to compliment, or whatever seems more special, its just.. so good.. I have never felt an album so detailed and so indepth then this one. It just, is makes my mind want to shut off.
Oh boy, here we go again. This is the last year of the project. So far this has been an amazing journey and I can’t wait to hear the last year. Godspeed. Wow, and just like that. It’s done. It’s hard to believe I’ve been here since the beginning. And here I am now, at the end. Godspeed John. C’est fini.
I never contributed to this project, but I have been a fan of this Channel around the time it started. I really like the space/interstellar theme of the artwork on this one and Year Seven. To anybody wondering what the art depicts. The yellow disc in the beginning is the Voyager 1' Golden Record. It was designed by NASA to be theoretically used for Aliens to Discover and learn about the Human Race and species including a music track inside of it to show aliens human music traveling with Voyager 1. In the real disc their is many symbols. But in this their is only one, and it is the Diagram that deifnes the Location of the Sun in the Local Group retrospective to 14 Pulsars surrounding our Solar System. The Artwork in "Affige" is a depiction of Voyager 1 ascending into the Nothingness or blackness of the Dark Nebula Barnard 68, black Nebulae means that the Stellar Gases do not reflect light in that region and have no Stars illuminating it so everything behind it is not visible because of the dark gases. I am guessing in "Still" it is a depiction of a Planetary Nebula or of NGC 6302. For the Cube in "Ends" it could have been the UFO object orbiting the Sun, but I am skeptic. For the second half of Affige it could be a Church Stained Glass Roundframed Window symbolizing ascending of some sorts. For "Denouement" it is a Solar System Orbiting Model Kit, I actually own one of those and the Sun usually lights up and it simulates the area of light hitting the planets relative to the Sun. The second half of "Denouement" could either be the sky or a Super Nova Explosion's Plasma Gases symbolizing a new beginning or death of ones old self or recincarnation ect. The brief artwork at the end of "Denouement" also either symbolizes death or ascension. The black screen, I depict as death it's self or peace in the Natural cycle of the Universe. That is my Summary for my depiction of this Album.
Another tidbit about the 7a yellow disc. The reason the voyager disc was chosen is likely because it is by far the most distant man-made object from earth, currently about 14,000,000,000 miles from earth.
NATMOS, and NATMOS;R are the best fan projects to ever exist in the caretaker community. You guys did a really impressive job on this. May Jesus Christ bless you all. Thank you Jordan for bringing joy to the community.
Nowadays, it feel almost surreal that i actually got to contribute to this project. I never got another hit (until recently) but the one fluke in Year 4 now becomes even more important to me, that i actually got to be a part of this and not just an observer
The last seventh of this album blows anything else from this community out of the water. It truly is a finale worthy of something as haunting and otherworldly as Death.
My Interpretation of the cover arts: 7A - Voyager One's Golden Record 7B - The ISS 7C - An Asteroid 7D - The Boomerang Nebula 7E - The Boötes Void 7F - A Diagram Of The Solar System
Second time listening to this entire project, wow, This Project will never get old. Really cannot wait for the remade PA stages, those will be amazing.
This was the wildest ride I've ever been on when it came to CTFP's, I remember joining in the craze back then Year 4 had just come out and everyone was waiting desperately for Year 5, It's now been an entire year since that and now we're at Year 8, I've been put through a massive roller coaster of emotions and reflection of my most beautiful memories hearing this. As well as some of the most unhinged manic chaos I could have ever felt. The end sent me to literal fucking tears, Jordan, I didn't believe you could have pulled it off, but this is the HL3 of your works. This ending to NATMOS;R is one of the best I've ever seen. Loved every moment of the album and the last part of this had me at the edge of my seat. Outstanding job, everyone.
wow, you really did a great job at this, (I know I'm like a year late but NatMoS R fully "lived" to be 100% higher than what I expected. (can't wait for NatMoS:R:, Again) edit: WOW, that ending was something!
So...I'm back here because someone I lost had this. they died earlier a few months ago. Jordan, thanks for making this. you and your amazing friends made something amazing. Thanks for also giving me the thought to actually research the disease more into thought. I listened to your fan album first, then the caretakers. So, again. Thank you
Even though i only found out about NATMOSR when Year Two released. Im glad i stayed till the end of this ride. I cannot really explain how good that sounded the whole album itself was an masterpiece it made me tear up a bit i will not lie.
I remeber listening to this wehn it came out. I rember enjoying the emptyness is some sorrowful way. 10 months later I don't know what made me, but I decided to listen to the enitre thing again. I still need to listen to the directors cuts but While listening to the ending I was sitting outside on the little balcony my room has. Something about it just deepend it, perhaps it's knowing I won't be here for much longer and this will only be a fleeting memory? I'm not sure. But well done. Also that ending hit me just as hard as last time was not expecting that again.
The last two tracks, had lots of music sampled, which I listen to in my free time. I learned that pink floyd track on piano a few weeks ago even. You won't believe how personal this ending felt.
Thank you Jordan for making such an incredible project. I’m at such a loss for words I can’t even comprehend how good this was. It’s an honor to be a part of the same community that has made something so incredible and special. You remind us all that perseverance is the best feeling of all. Despite all the setbacks and challenges you faced during production you managed to deliver something unspeakably amazing. That’s something to be proud of. Till we meet again Jordan, Godspeed.
Damm Jordan. I never thought that an album from 2019 would inspire so many great projects. Especially this one. This one has made me feel lost. When I fall asleep during one of the post awareness stages I am so confused when I wake up.
The years come to an end. Our protagonist's mind is now hollow, devoid of any possibility to think, feel, or remember. All they can do now is wait. But before their demise, they get to see one more sunrise. And the story concludes. This might be the best take on Stage 6. It managed to be out of any standards and exceeded my expectations. Affligé and Denouement were epic. And The ending is just heartbreaking. I am speechless. This is one of the best Fan-Projects I've ever heard. I have followed this album since the first year and it was a gorgeous experience. Despite all the delays, those years were worth the wait. It doesn't matter how long it takes, what tries to stop you, or what people tell you. The important thing is to keep believing in your ambitions, it will all be worth it. NATMOS:R showed to be one of the most influential Fan-Projects in the community, and encouraged us to try new things. Simply flawless and gracious. Au revoir, NATMOS:R Godspeed, Jordan Keuring and The Caretakers. Wish *all* of you the best of luck. Keep going strong.
It's almost impossible to grasp over the fact that an album like this even exists. It's like all art in the world put together into one beautiful experience.
My god. Im at a loss for words with that ending. NatMoS:R was honestly a blast from start to finish. Godspeed, Jordan. I look forward to listening to your new projects.
I noticed that in the final section of 7e, the music gets louder until the very end, which contrasts the cover slowly fading to black and white. This realization hit me like a brick.
It's been a long journey since this was made and I'm glad I was there to see it all projects and works like these help people understand more on what people with diseases like this experience and suffer in their daily lives, and it's honestly sad that there's still people suffering and dying from these kinds of diseases. we all shouldn't fall victim to this great demise. Anyways, I really congratulate Jordan and the rest of The Caretakers team on creating such a detailed and well thought out album series that I'd really see with high regard, shit went me through a whole range of emotions, and this final instalment is no exception. It's a great sign of improvement and betterment from the original NATMOS project, and I hope this deserves as much respect and praise as it always had. Respect for the person who started this concept in the first place, James Leyland Kirby/The Caretaker; without him all of these projects wouldn't happen in the first place. Finally, the suffering and battle is all over. godspeed the patient to heaven. o7
The curse is lifted. I’m honored to have been a part of this project, through all of the insane happenings and drama. Thank you to those who were civil and tolerant of me, and giving me a chance to contribute to this outstanding set of albums. Mmmmmm bye forever 💅
The best ending to an album for a long time to come, possibly forever. Well done to everyone who worked on this, to the artists, and especially to Jordan. This was a marvel to listen to. The ending had me sobbing so hard I thought I was having a heart attack. Thank you for making this.
okay so i was SO wrong, terminal lucidity happens near and at the end of the second to last track for NATMOS REDUX. We hear people chatting, radio, memories (some) come back but not fully, still broken and distorted. Afflige is terminal lucidity, the last we see of the patient. Pure Beauty.
Okay, but in all seriousness, I loved watching this project grow... although I never contributed to this. I remember seeing this about a year or two ago, I was a beginner in sound/ Audio making my "Test stages" project, to this conclusion of NATMOSR while I'm still working on my project. I loved watching this go way in a completely different way that then I expected. Your stuff is great man, keep it up!
And so, it finally finished. I knew the ending will sound beautiful, but I did NOT expect the amount of beauty on that. Great job to you and all the contributors who worked on this project!
Honestly I know this might be pretentious but this project really baffles me how good it is. It’s so immersive and unique, it’s not consistently aiming to be scary for the sake of being scary, the amount of little moments being remarkable and an emphasis to the experience, so many reflections about the patient… there’s so much things to name on, man…
Im not an avid EATOET listener anymore, the sample list of this project is what really got me into 80’s music and later, 00s-10s… and so on… that has been since 2 years and I’ve been listening so much music all thanks to this project, breaking out of my comfort zone.
This project still holds a really sweet place in my heart, and I’m glad that it still holds up very well as a fan-project made by talented and passionate people. Kudos
P.S I barely remember any moments from Year 7 and 8, if I ever had the time il take this chance to relisten the whole project C:
yes we love listening to a whole lotta nothing and static
The black screen part at the end of Denouement and the stained glass pane segment in Affligé are the most interesting to me.
I like how most of the years in NATMOSR get longer as the album goes on, it's like time feels progressively longer to the patient
I do believe it's been stated before that that is indeed the intent.
3:07:01. The sound of a dead body, and the thing that made me question my existence.

@@TheTornadoMani know im 4 months late, (and also replying during the block) but thanks
@@xz3ssin short words
VAV-31 - Distant pictures without context
00:00 - 7a - "Fragments"
"Time blurs together to be indistinguishable entirely. A series of repeated inquiries lead nowhere. Speech has been reduced to a mere handful of words."
The last segments of escaping the void are left with a resounding failure.
No return.
35:40 - 7b - "Ends"
"As time goes by, all semblance of intelligible speech is reduced to a single word."
Far more emptier, this track has no residue of Year 7 left. Drones, some aggressive, some calmer, persist. Trapped in their own, hollow mind.
56:28 - Quiet cracks and pops are heard as the first "Stings of death" are heard.
...
Why are they alive when they are practically dead?
1:02:54 - 7c - "Depths"
"Further loss leads to the ability to move independently withering away."
The longest track, the slow decline into a vegetative state is approached.
2:07:00 - 7d - "Still"
"Following the ability to move independently being lost, one loses the ability to merely sit up independently."
Fully vegetive, loud blasting drones are heard as the mind becomes a deep, deep static. Though this calms down into unknown drones.
Peace is heard throughout, when you don't know anything, you don't know anything bad.
2:33:15 - 7e - "Affligé"
"At this point, the ability to smile is lost. Something familiar brings the warmth of sleeping memories, before falling away once again."
Static, stings of death are heard throughout. The body is starting to fail, it started failing a while ago, but now it's daily... And deadly.
Annihilation is heard as the end is-
...Something is heard.
2:43:08 - Terminal Lucidity
For what has become well known at this point, a paradoxical return of semi-awareness before death in memory disorders. Completely unknown to why it happens, it is left unknown to "why" in the scientific community.
...The final day of paradise. Not much needs to be said here, as it'd miss the point.
2:53:06 - 7f - "Denouement"
Post-Terminal Lucidity
The mind is null. Being unable to even tilt their head, stings of death are heard as it's simply not possible to be alive anymore. The body can't support it.
Blank.
...But it's not the time to talk about their life... It's time to see their transition to death.
3:01:36 - Ascension
Many people experience near-death experiences, a light at the end of the tunnel, angels, a retrospective of their life.
And for their last minute, they see their life, and look at death with a smile.
3:07:02 - The sound of a dead body
The body remains with a sound of limbo as it slowly decomposes or cremates.
As for the soul, it's unknown where it is, whether it's in some sort of afterlife, or stuck in the dead body.
Incredibly underrated
I like to think that those last few minutes are consciousness seeping away. The brain remains active for a few moments after death, assuming it’s intact. Iirc it gets pumped with a ton of DMT. I like to think it’s the sound of the brain’s natural death-trip.
@@bella_ciao46087 minutes or so.

0:01 - And let it begin…
1:11 - Fragments of melodies scattered about, as the title of 7a would suggest.
4:36 - (D2/I8) is still here. Not bad by any means.
5:45 - Be not afraid, as this was meant to happen.
12:33 - Remnants of Year 7 are still here.
14:38 - The patient is unable to form complete sentences.
16:07 - ?
18:35 - A calm in the storm…
23:15 - There’s a reason why this is called 7a - “Fragments”
29:31 - A sense of tranquility and senility.
45:53 - Remnants of what used to be…
47:11 - Bliss is all that remains.
2:12:36 - Peace…
2:13:02 - I still wonder how many samples were used to make this entire thing…and how many of them are repeated..
Now that’s a look at the national weather, now here’s what you can expect.”
2:43:51 - “This is Meteorologist Phil Erickson, for Providence and Vicinity, we’ll have periods of snow this morning anywhere from 1 to 3 inches accumulation. Temperature in the middle 30s, tapering off to flurries this afternoon. Cold tonight, temperature middle 20s and partially sunny tomorrow, tempts in the middle 30s.”
2:44:06 - “Hope you have a safe weekend and we’ll see you on Monday.”
2:44:09 - “Thank you Dave. Right now, it’s 37 minutes after Julian Lennon’s memories of John Lennon who was killed 5 years ago this weekend, after this.”
2:44:55 - Gyongyhaju Lany, was the last song I expected to play here. I welcome it.
2:46:08 - “I mean, what I think he said to me-I’m not sure, now I’m getting confused. I mean, do it, but don’t blame me.”
2:46:16 - “Get up quickly, like a flashing light. I put my clothes on, eating rice. I work all day, I’m working nights. When I do fight doubts, but I’ll do it right. And I’m lonely, and I’m on my own again…”
2:46:23 - Ascension. Not yet, at least.
2:47:25 - That’s…Every Breath You Take…bro I’m literally sobbing rn
2:47:35 - “I mean, he did gave me a basic outline, he said. What he did with The Beatles was great, but even if he had the chance again he would never do it again, you know that once was, the experience was enough, you know?”
2:47:50 - One more day in Paradise.
There’s no reason for it, you’ve got to go sometime.”
3:05:58 - This. Actually got to me.
3:07:02 - The death of the mind, and the sound of a dead body.
3:11:16 -
I simply just don’t have any words to describe how amazing this is.

Yes Of course I enjoyed it!
I fully agree.
Amazing Experience.
(This also might be alot to read)
TLDR: This was an experience that just topped off all the other fan projects I've heard and seen, phenomenal work.
In my opinion, I think it's so good it can easily compare to the og EATEOT.
I mean always 'evolving'
The music definitely evolved.
Year 5 easily depicts your awareness is sitting in the middle slowly tipping over into a journey towards Year 8
And just the smoothness from Year 6's transition to Year 7....
This was truly an experience I enjoyed,
Year 8 KILLED all other fan project final stages projects, but that's my opinion.
It isn't an edited photo
Do you mean barnard 68?
There doesn't seem to be many pictures of the actual Bootes Void, What you're refering to is actually called Barnard 68, which is a dark nebula, which prevents light from passing through. The bootles Void itself does not seem to have any proper images. I'd share links but youtube doesn't like that, so id recomend checking the wiki article for anidea of what im talking about and it's souces if you're still confused.
Small correction, that's a dark nebula, specifically Barnard 68.
Cest Fini.
finally gave it a proper listen
I'm only on 7d right now but this is god tier so far
edit: I meant to say this on the main video 🥹
Good job dude.
literally the only bad part about listening to this is the fact that i’ll never be able to experience it for the first time ever again.
Story of the whole album. I listened to it when I was sick and the euphoria I got from it was indescribable
This is beautiful.
I have nothing else to say.
This is beyond words.
I’m not gonna lie to you I waited 2 years and I was not disspoitned in the entire project I love you guys
NATMOSR is 12 hours, 43 minutes, and 2 seconds long
with the average of every year's length combined is being 1 hour, 35 minutes, and 22 seconds
the vinyl in the 7a album cover is the golden record sent into space
Real cool for the screen to turn black for the final memory. The vibe of it sounds cool with it being muffled like that.
This was absolutely beautiful, godspeed you and rest in peace john natmosr.
And now, a poem. (Sorry if this comes off as pretentious or cringe, by the way.)
For they who has degraded
For the time that they were here
We forever hold them close in thought
Year after year.
All the memories you made
All the experiences you brought
Now live here with us
Never to be forgot.
We mourn the passing of you
And all that you have suffered
As you cross into the great beyond
Surrounded by family, friends, and others.
So we shall never forget them
Their mark on this place
As they now sail forth through
Nowhere at the Millennium of Space.
Dear Jordan Keuring,
I've intentionally held back from commenting all this time on this fan project until now, so I'm gonna try to put all my thoughts forward as best as I can.
With warm regards,
Mr. Siddles

MR SIDDLES?????
Victory is ours, and we claim this as the final result of everyone’s efforts.
this is just the best thing I've ever heard.
Finally finished this. It lived up to my expectations. Thank you for this amazing project, it's a gift to us all.
This came out a half year ago??? Time moves by so fast lol
It’s been a pleasure to be in this project.
(I made the last artwork at the very end and made the second last artworks and got involved with third last one)
WOW I LOVE YOUR ART TORIN KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
@@MaIiciousMothTy :>
returning to this like over a year later, this whole thing was just incredible. i still recall the time listening to the stage 6 of og NATMOS when it first came out and remember just how the final song made me blankly stare into nothing for solid 5 minutes after it ended. this project once again captured the special thing about natmos while refining it even more, i have no other words to describe Denouement than unforgettable.
The final culmination of an authentic piece of art! It’s almost unbelievable
So Long, Nowhere at the Millennium of Space: Redux…
I like this more than the original EATEOT and NATMOS. Nice work!
Reacting to this was such an honour, and I plead to luck that this album becomes more well known as one of the best pieces of musical art out there.
Year 8 went from aggressive droning with aggressive static onto the heavens onto the.. mimir.. with final lucidity as heavenly part of this album
C’est fini.
I also keep a playlist of all the years. And it is now complete
oh i didn’t realize that was the golden record
it’s a shame i wasn’t there in its final moments
edit: (OH I WAS THERE)
One of the most inspirational projects of the past year. Outstanding work.

I think Voyager 1 also has "Hello" in many human languages, but I also like how NATMOSR has had a space theme aswell!
according to phisigma, ends is a backwards CRT
this is absolutely beautiful
i literally cannot put the feelings i get from this into words
this is 100% the best fan project ever
amen
This whole project is beyond words. It transcends it genre. Thank you for not giving up and pushing through the tough times.
Well, that was pretty good! Good job to everyone that worked and contributed to this! Terminal Lucidity and the Heaven part were pretty epic.
NATMOS, and NATMOS;R are the best fan projects to ever exist in the caretaker community. You guys did a really impressive job on this. May Jesus Christ bless you all. Thank you Jordan for bringing joy to the community.
It feels like an absolute end of everything, totally beautiful
Superb, you really killed it with its finale. It is such an honour to see this project finally bloom with all its years. Thank you, sir Keuring.
Nowadays, it feel almost surreal that i actually got to contribute to this project. I never got another hit (until recently) but the one fluke in Year 4 now becomes even more important to me, that i actually got to be a part of this and not just an observer
Man you made an amazing track
The last seventh of this album blows anything else from this community out of the water. It truly is a finale worthy of something as haunting and otherworldly as Death.
My Interpretation of the cover arts:
7A - Voyager One's Golden Record
7B - The ISS
7C - An Asteroid
7D - The Boomerang Nebula
7E - The Boötes Void
7F - A Diagram Of The Solar System
There are more artworks
@theinfirmiwee 7f3: nothing, the patient is brain dead
@oosbeati think 7c is a CD
@oosbeati tbh I don't really get much of "ISS" from 7b
Absolutely amazing, this journey has been long and has always been great.
Here's to hoping there is a golden age in the CTFP genre as well as the community.
That is, if they accept it.
Go take care of yourself man, you need it.

This ending to NATMOS;R is one of the best I've ever seen. Loved every moment of the album and the last part of this had me at the edge of my seat. Outstanding job, everyone.
Pretty sure Sketch 3 by Tim Hecker is the very last sample, it appeared at the end of T2 and throughout V1, alongside some of Tim's other works.
misumaru
wow, you really did a great job at this, (I know I'm like a year late but NatMoS R fully "lived" to be 100% higher than what I expected. (can't wait for NatMoS:R:, Again)
edit: WOW, that ending was something!
So...I'm back here because someone I lost had this. they died earlier a few months ago.
Jordan, thanks for making this. you and your amazing friends made something amazing. Thanks for also giving me the thought to actually research the disease more into thought. I listened to your fan album first, then the caretakers. So, again. Thank you
I'm incredibly happy that we've been able to impact you in this way. My heart goes out to you and the one you lost. Reading this warmed my heart.
A year later and still the best stage 6 album to cone out of this community
The last two tracks, had lots of music sampled, which I listen to in my free time. I learned that pink floyd track on piano a few weeks ago even. You won't believe how personal this ending felt.
The premiere hasn’t started yet but I can already tell this will be one hell of an experience
Boy was I right
Thank you Jordan for making such an incredible project.
The end of a long journey
Thank you, Jordan Keuring
3:03:10 when the banger begins
( pressing this one moment over and over again, one time cried at it. fucking awesom)
He finally reached terminal lucidity...
That’s not TL, as Terminal Ludcity is at 2:44:55. Denouncement instead represents the person ascending/passing away.
They are both TL I think
I can't even make a joke about this, this is genuinely the best thing ive seen come out of the entire caretaker community 🗿👍
Au revoir, NATMOS:R
Godspeed, Jordan Keuring and The Caretakers. Wish *all* of you the best of luck.
Keep going strong.
1:28:51 the breath of the patient... or the breath of the life supply machine?
It's almost impossible to grasp over the fact that an album like this even exists.
It's like all art in the world put together into one beautiful experience.
My god.
Im at a loss for words with that ending.
NatMoS:R was honestly a blast from start to finish.
Godspeed, Jordan. I look forward to listening to your new projects.
‼This will go down as one of the CRAZIEST NBA moments‼
This Was So Awesome, I’m So Glad The 8th Year Of This Project Released, Really Cool
feedback we all needed
I like how the 7a golden record cover looks almost a little like a modern rendition of happy in spite
I noticed that in the final section of 7e, the music gets louder until the very end, which contrasts the cover slowly fading to black and white. This realization hit me like a brick.
This is the fan project of all time. Fantastic work Jordan
It's been a long journey since this was made and I'm glad I was there to see it all
projects and works like these help people understand more on what people with diseases like this experience and suffer in their daily lives, and it's honestly sad that there's still people suffering and dying from these kinds of diseases.
we all shouldn't fall victim to this great demise.

The curse is lifted. I’m honored to have been a part of this project, through all of the insane happenings and drama. Thank you to those who were civil and tolerant of me, and giving me a chance to contribute to this outstanding set of albums.
Mmmmmm bye forever 💅

Stay down.
okay i would admit i nearly cried to some of the track of this one, mainly the ending ones- but genuinely this is very beautiful ;3;7

this album is still peak a year later :stoics:
The best ending to an album for a long time to come, possibly forever.
Well done to everyone who worked on this, to the artists, and especially to Jordan. This was a marvel to listen to.
The ending had me sobbing so hard I thought I was having a heart attack.
Thank you for making this.
okay so i was SO wrong, terminal lucidity happens near and at the end of the second to last track for NATMOS REDUX. We hear people chatting, radio, memories (some) come back but not fully, still broken and distorted. Afflige is terminal lucidity, the last we see of the patient. Pure Beauty.
not into the caretaker fandom anymore but im proud of yall for releasing this!!!

fym this is one year ago??? what
Okay, but in all seriousness, I loved watching this project grow... although I never contributed to this. I remember seeing this about a year or two ago, I was a beginner in sound/ Audio making my "Test stages" project, to this conclusion of NATMOSR while I'm still working on my project. I loved watching this go way in a completely different way that then I expected. Your stuff is great man, keep it up!
I think Afflige's first cover is pretty much very fitting.

Finally, finished. Wow, done.

My submissions did not make it...
Can't wait for years 1-2 remaster before the full release!
Oh no this is almost a year old
I was gonna post something deep but i think it's better to just say...
good album.
I like how the bumper is just radio static with the slightest hint of a voice
Pretty sure the bumper starts late at around 1:07 similar to Y7. In that case it's angry robot noises with random drums.
@@Q1_Enjoyer Maybe both?
And so, it finally finished. I knew the ending will sound beautiful, but I did NOT expect the amount of beauty on that. Great job to you and all the contributors who worked on this project!
