Toll brothers homes are beautiful, but they use poor materials and put it at a big price. I was about to buy one of their homes, guess not. Very disappointed on Toll Brothers.
The designs are awesome and the models look great. But they are so shady and put so much extreme risk onto the buyer compared to other builders I don't understand why anyone would do it unless they were paying cash. There will be a sword hanging over your head during the months they spend building your house.
Everything they use in the building of these home is off the shelf at Home Depot. And they use Local labor, nothing special. So your paying for the name, Toll Brothers, but all your really doing is paying an inflated price for local grunts to do the work. They hire the cheapest labor and keep the change.
Toll Brothers makes millions - they could at least do things right. Model homes are usually not discounted one dollar off of list price of upgrades, so it may not be a bargain.

We contracted with Toll Bros. I think we made a mistake. The sales department was giving 9 months to move in. Several months after, we spoke to the construction manager, he told us 10 to 11 months. Of course the excuses started. “I never guarantee that date! “We get pretty close to that date“. Wrong! From a beginning date of early May to sometime in July, could be close to 3 months. That is not pretty close. That’s not close at all. The lying is bad but not making any effort to try to fix it really aggravates. This is not our first new home, we contracted with Lennar in the past with a much more pleasant experience. Plus Lennar uses better windows. Spoke with a few other home buyers and I think they stuck to a lot of us. If you buy from Toll Bros. Good luck!! Hope they don’t stick it to you.

I went to Bartram Ranch in St. Augustine and was not impressed with their 6ft.high sliding glass doors.
I'm confused, IF the home was purchased "as is" how was the homeowner able to seek any reimbursement/settlement ??
Fraud - failure to make full disclosure about defects Toll knew about.

I live in a Toll home circa 2005. No problems.
Is this a battle over a model home or the homebuyer?
